This is the place to grab a bite when you're on this side of town. If you live in the area you need to become a regular fast. The owners (the Flippins) are some of the nicest people I've ever met in my life. I only stopped in because a friend shared their business on FB. The super steak was really good and satisfying. It costs a pretty penny but the bread was soft, meat flavored well, and I could probably have had more mushrooms and bell peppers but I'll make that request next time I visit. The strawberry salad was also very flavorful and I'm excited to have the Caesar later today. I have to get a few items because I don't live close by. The food was satisfying which is important because too many places overload plates and that's the problem with morbid obesity in this country anyway. It's just enough and I'm grateful for it. Oh and the food looks just like the pictures!! My food was ready fast; it felt like 5 min. It's not a dine in location more like a grab and go. Meat was tender and well seasoned (no "gamey" taste"), peppers were tender without being soggy , and the bread was like butter. Nothing was salty or overcooked. I added giardineira and a lemonade. Get the lemon lime cucumber mint! In addition to the awesome food, the awesome couple that owns the place treated us like old friends. They are serious about food that tastes good and is good for you. We got to sample their Greek salad and berry salad. The mixed greens were washed and CLEAN (no gritty taste) and the vinaigrette mixes on both salads were light and flavorful. The physical location is well kept and a nice vibe if you have time to dine in. They offer BYOB so we have even more reasons to go back!! read more

I've heard about and drove past this location several times and knew I had to see what the hype was about. When I walked in the lady at the counter greeted me and asked had I been there before. I let them know that it was my first time. They gave me a few seconds to look at the menu. She then told me to place my order on the menu on the touch screen. You pretty much place your own order. I ordered the Flippin Turkey Hoagy with no Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles, and Banana Peppers and the Flippin Super Chicken Philly Sandwich with no Onions, Bell Peppers and Mushrooms. The Chicken Philly was very good. This was my first time having a Hoagy and I was a little nervous. I can't believe I haven't done a review for Flippin Flavors yet! First - the food is fresh. The cheesesteaks are amazing, whether you get the chicken or the original. They heat up perfectly in the oven or air fryer if you get a second to take home for later (hint hint). The salads are incredible - I have never had a bad piece of lettuce or a soggy strawberry. The hoagies are delicious - and if you're like me and get a cheesesteak for lunch, you can bring a hoagy home for dinner - if you ask for the oil on the side you can add it when you're ready to eat. Second - the restaurant is CLEAN. Have you ever been in a restaurant in Chicago and tried hard to not peak in the kitchen because you know the food is delicious but you know that kitchen will make your stomach roll? Not here. The owners make the kitchen as open as possible and it's still as clean as the day they opened the restaurant. Honestly that alone makes me want to eat every meal here because I never worry about something working its way into my food. And lastly - the owners are incredible people. Linda and Brian (I say as if we are BFF) make everyone feel like somebody. You walk in the door and they address you right away, and are so kind. They also make food for those less fortunate, and are always looking for ways to give back. They truly take pride in their restaurant and product. I feel a lot better giving my money to nice people, you know? To that point, they are always looking for ways to help other small businesses in the community, as they know we all rise by helping others. I've learned of some amazing bakeries and teas just because of their recommendations. One huge plus is that if you order ahead they can bring your food to your car when it's ready. I've been meaning to come check this place out for a while now after seeing them on Black People Eats but haven't been able to find the time. Today is the day, I finally made that happen and came here with my friend who I haven't seen for a while. She ordered the hot and spicy Turkey hoagie, and I had the same but without the bread. Everything is made to order, we came during lunch time, so there was only a short wait and I can see why they're a popular option in the area. One of the things I love about Flippin Flavors is that they have healthy eating options, and having the option without bread promotes that and also helps with my yeast intolerance. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous, and we both truly loved our food and experience. Most people grab and go, but they do have some chairs and tables there, and we opted to dine in since we wanted to enjoy the food right away. The owners are great people, and they both came to check on us which I appreciate. I also love that they have a vendor there who sells cakes as well, and my friend actually bought a box of their caramel cake -- it looks delicious. There's street parking in front and also a lot right behind the building, which is convenient. I am definitely going to come back and try more items on their menu. So I just did search local businesses and stumbled upon Flippin Flavors. Being from the area I was surprised that I'd never heard of this place. After looking over the menu online my wife and I decided to give them a try and boy were we glad we did. The establishment itself is very clean and inviting. My only issue is I'd driven past this place hundreds of times and never knew it was there. They should do more to get noticed and capture that traffic on busy 95th st. So because it was our first time we wanted give a couple things a try. We ordered the Turkey Hoagie and Steak Philly. The lady at the counter was really nice. She took my order and I had my food in less than 10 minutes. This is very important because they make everything fresh to order and the wait was minimal. So Kudos to the staff. Both sandwiches were Phenomenal. The Turkey hoagie has a nice vibrant combination with pepper,onion and dressing they apply. The bread was fresh and soft, just what you expect in a great hoagie. I'd been trying to get here for quite some time now. A friend posted her philly cheesesteak and banana pudding ice cream on social media and it looked so good. The quarantine hours were not working with my work schedule, so I had to wait til I had a free Saturday. I ordered the super philly cheesesteak sandwich and the banana pudding ice cream.
