This was my first time at this establishment. The corned beef sandwich was good but they need to stop making dessert. We ordered banana pudding and Carmel cake and neither was memorable. The banana pudding had a horrible aftertaste and the caramel cake was so bad it was thrown out next to the pudding. read more

After weeks of driving past, I finally tried Fontano's Subs and Delicatessen. This cozy place lets you customize sandwiches with super fresh ingredients. The staff greeted me with friendly smiles as soon as I walked in. I ordered a couple of things from their menu including the corned beef sandwich, a roast beef sandwich, and two of their soups ( the broccoli and cheese soup and chicken noodle soup), which were perfect for a chilly day. Indian female workers are very rude in this restaurant !!! They never smile when you walk in. They give you wrong items on purpose when you order DoorDash. They blatantly talk about customers and other American employee's in their foreign language. It's no wonder they can't keep employees because they are rude and disrespectful!!!! Since this location has been taken over by new management, the quality of food and service have diminished. I know the policy for ordering the 3Ft sandwich's. I've done it for years, order at least 24hrs in advance, pay when you pickup. I order 3, 3Ft sandwich's for an event, my scheduled pick up time was 1pm. I arrive at 12:50, and the gentleman tells me he doesn't have my order. He states they called me the Moring of to confirm the order. That has never happened, and I told him I did not get a call. I asked to gentlemen to check the phone number and to my surprise, the order taker took down the wrong number. So now I don't have food for my event. All the gentleman could saw was give him 30 minutes to make them. No sorry, no accommodations for their mistake. Nothing!! I will take the drive to Fontanos on Taylor from now on. Their quality and service is still top tier. read more

Great sub spot. Opened when I was in high school and had braces, so it was impossible to eat them. Bread was too tough. But now, 20 years later, I know how to order. Gotta get lots of sauce, mayo, oil and vinegar, softens the bread and makes it taste good. Great potato salad too. read more

Unfortunately I ordered a corned beef sandwich and they fixed it exactly the way I requested but it didn't work for me. I ordered it as if it was going to be on rye bread. I'll do better next time. The food was great and so were the people helping. My only complaint was if you order Italian beef by the pound for Italian beef sandwich's. I missed the favor and size of these sandwiches for awhile and decided to pay a visit. I ordered the 12 inch "wise guy" and was extremely happy with my purchase. The veggies were crisp and fresh, the bread was soft and a little chewy, the mixture of Italian meats were full of favor with a touch of spice.
