No exaggeration- we spent 20 minutes at the counter and 3 staff members could not figure out how to check us into services. They then told us they didn't know how to apply a guestpass and asked me to pay full for services. I no longer desired to get services done at this point due to the experience and wait, thanked them, and went to leave. As i did, one of them said she "forgot" about a free spa pass in which i could use. They offered this after my friend (the elite member) already keft very upset to his vehicle. I got in my car today after tanning and cried my eyes out . The customer service has been extremely disappointing. Several staff members have been rude, dismissive, and overly focused on selling products and upgrades rather than providing a positive customer experience. Instead of listening to customers, they often come across as though they know better and are unwilling to respect differing perspectives or long-term experience. On multiple occasions, I have left feeling upset rather than relaxed. No customer should walk into a business expecting a peaceful experience and leave feeling anxious or frustrated because of the way they were treated. Management sets the tone for any business, and I believe there is significant room for improvement in hiring, training, and accountability. Unfortunately, these repeated interactions have convinced me that this location is no longer worth my time or money. This will be my last experience with California Sun, and I cannot recommend it based on the level of customer service I have received. Mike the owner really needs a class on how to hire people who are actually good people at least... I have never been so disappointed . This business is a scam and crazy expensive for how you are treated so poorly. The wood paneling and decor reminiscent of some island shack somewhere. I opted for a spray tan because the place I usually go had no openings. The gal who did my tan was efficient and the tan itself was the best spray tan I received anywhere all summer. The reason I took away a star is because the place felt like the last time it was clean was in the 90s. I felt a little grimy but I walked away a bronze goddess so I'll take it. I also appreciated that they are open on Sundays and will work to get you in. I'll definitely go back!

I spent literally hours, elbow grease, and too many chemicals & concoctions trying to get the stains off of my hands & feet that they are burning and raw. I did this in preparation for a party and to wear a new dress and show off my mani pedi, but everything was so streaky that I ended up having to wear long sleeves and boots. What a waste of time & money and what an embarrassment.
