I love the fact that it was right next to Congregation--Dessert after burgers and fries yay! Clean location, approachable employees...they were nice enough to let me try almost all the flavors (I can never decide sorry!) Vanilla bean: Sweet and light, though some can argue that it is a tad too light...not quite that satisfying UMPH of vanilla and more like a little piece of vanilla fluff you had a whiff of but can't quite find... Peanut Butter: Slightly tart yet creamy! I really like this flavor personally...but I loooooooooooove peanut butter! Chocolate Milk: Hmmmmmmmm just tasted like chocolate to me? Maybe because I haven't tried their actual chocolate flavor? It's not that deep, rich "IN YOH FACE" kind of choco flavor, so I guess that's why it's called choco milk and not just choco. Plain: Always a good go-to flavor if you can't decide on anything. Tart, yet sweet...simple, but delicious. Strawberry-banana smoothie: A bit overpowering on the banana, and they had to use fro-yo instead of ice, as they ran out of ice (I guess that makes it a shake?) It came out very watery so it was more of a strawberry-banana milk kinda drink. I wish they didn't put syrups in it and focused more on putting frozen fruit, but alas, it is what it is. Flavor was oooooookay..just too much banana with a hint of strawberry syrup. Overall, it's a good place to come for a snack to satisfy your sweet cravings. Like all Pinkberrys, they change up the flavors often and everything generally tastes like the other locations, but nothing wrong with that! read more

Came here for an afternoon sweet treat the other day - it's a pretty standard Pinkberry but one thing that stands out to me is the girl behind the counter that was so damn peppy that I almost asked her what sort of drugs she was on. Phen phen addict aside, I opted for a simple watermelon yogurt in a cone. It was huge and only cost $3! I didn't get any toppings and it was delicious. Update: I came here the other day and cashed in on the Yelp Check-In Deal ... a free small with purchase of a small - it was perfect! My friend got a small and I got a free mini (the small would've been too big). Thanks, Yelp! read more

I have mad love for this location for two reasons: 1) I live three blocks away; and 2) while most other chains have thrown in the towel after opening in DTLB (see Ben & Jerry's - my first job; Crate & Barrel; Z Gallerie) Pinkberry remains. Love that not only is this the only good frozen yogurt you can get in DTLB, but it's the gold-standard of yogurt too! Now, being a DTLB resident I see my fair share of tourists walking up and down Pine Ave. If you have never had Pinkberry before, please consider the following suggestions to build the ultimate, flavoriffic Pinkberry: - Ask for a medium; - Get original + one other flavor (either chocolate or a fruit flavor such as mango), and specify that you want these SIDE-BY-SIDE (I'm a swirl girl but newbies should savor each flavor individually the first time); - Toppings are a personal preference, but I strongly believe in a ratio of two fruits + 1 chocolate topping + 1 nut or mochi for texture. If you are curious as to what I order, my standard order is original+mango yogurt (swirled if possible), with strawberry, mango, mochi, sliced almonds, and dark chocolate crisps. Perfect for a light dessert and the location is in downtown LB, so it's pretty close to everything. I love the original sweet/tart flavor that Pinkberry offers. You can't go wrong with choosing it. only wish they had more toppings to choose from like other frozen yogurt places. read more

So I've been to this pink berry a couple times. I have been helped by the Asian gentleman every time and he has been wonderful. He was attentive every time and efficient. Wait time was minimal and my medium yogurt was filled with toppings. The place was overall very clean and I had 0 complaints. Great service and quality products, can't ask for much more read more

After my meeting in downtown LB, I wandered around the Pine Street neighborhood to see if I could find a place to have an afternoon munchie - when lo and behold, Pinkberry appeared! It's karma, I tell ya! This store is a lot larger than the one in Pasadena with more space and lots of seating. I got my plain with strawberries and blueberries and took a seat in their pastel-colored seating area. One of these days, I'll have to try their other flavors. But for right now, the plain w/berries hits the spot. Farewell, Baskin-Robbins and Coldstone Creamery...you've just been replaced by Pinkberry. read more

Okay, so I came here on a lucky Tuesday night. It was hot and I needed some ice cold loving, so I picked up a few friends and headed over to Pinkberry's with no expectation except cold lovin'. Two flavors: Original and Green Tea. That's it?!? All right, fine. But wait, different toppings. Did I just see Captain Crunch? Mmmm...Captain Crunch. I hesistated to go over board and so I settled for a medium Green Tea flavored yogurt topped with mini-rice cakes, kiwi, and mango. Mmmm...Mango. Love it. Then I tried my friend's dish: Original yogurt with mini-rice cakes, mango, and strawberries. Mmmm...loved it too. It's healthier, it's cold, and enough flavor to suffice the sweet tooth. I like it. On top of that there are all these cute and plastic quirky things on their plastic shelves. Very, I don't know, colorful plastic. Walk into a bright and colorful place without expectation and I discovered a tasteful treat. Me likey. read more

Selection of yogurt is limited but very delicious. I had the chocolate and peanut butter. Excellent combination. Plenty of toppings to choose from. My favorite is the Mochi. Pink berry has a good location in downtown Long Beach. Its right on Pine and broadway and Ive never had to wait in line more than 5 minutes for service. The keep seem to be adding and changing flavors. I get in, get what I want, go home and indulge . read more

I have come to this Pinkberry maybe a total of 6 times and I've always had great service and it's always been clean. I went today and wasn't entirely happy with my experience. The cashier, Cami, was very nice. I was just concerned because my raspberry toppings seemed to be going bad and I spotted a tad bit of mildew. Not the cashier's fault entirely and not even majorly. I just think they should be a bit more careful and meticulous when checking product. That's all :) read more

I used to come to this location (years ago) and loved it. Today, it was just not as flavorful as I remember. The pricing has also gone way up. It was $5.00 for a small with 4 toppings. I was not told about the extra charge until I asked after looking at my receipt. Not likely I will go out of my way to go back. read more

Went to Pinkberry last night to satisfy my wife's sugar itch. The workers were very upbeat and helpful. They filled our bowl so full of the froyo that we could barely get any toppings on it. They did their absolute best to jam as many toppings on there as possible, but it was a tiny bit disappointing when we couldn't get all the toppings we were hoping for. Over all solid experience for a decent price. People were friendly and nice. read more

Maybe I got lucky on my visit. Compared to all the other reviews I've read about crappy customer service or rude employees, my experience was incredibly different. I went in there last Saturday to check it out since I'd been craving something desert like for awhile. The employee who greeted me was always smiling and helpful. She gave me multiple samples of the new flavors they had out. The store itself was very clean. I experience overall was very pleasing. However, I'm not a big fan of the limited choices in yogurt though. I like there to be a variety of different flavors, rather than just 4 or 5. Also, I prefer the self-serve kind of places. That way, I can get as much as I like and don't mind weighing it and paying a little extra for it. Other than that, this place is pretty good. I'll definitely be stopping in again. read more

So Holly T. called me last night to tell me that she was driving home with her Pinkberry.... damn it! The curiousity got the better of me and I dragged one of my friends out to Long Beach to finally get a taste of the much famed yoghurt. So. Ok. I get it. It's pretty frikkin good. I got plain with Fruity Pebbles on it (cuz where else am I gonna get Fruity Pebbles on my Ice Cream?!) and my friend got plain with raspberries. I was all about it. Him...notsomuch. He liked it, but didn't understand what all the hype was about. I really wish they had honey as a topping. I think that would be the bomb diggety. But as they say, you can wish in one hand.... The store was cute and they had fun chairs and little knick knacks on the wall to play with. The guys working there were really nice too. Oh - and a little secret. If you order it to go, you don't have to pay tax, but they'll still let you eat it there. Yeah. I'll be back to Pinkberry. I'm a trend whore like that. read more

The best thing about the photos posted are the absence of lines. Where are the lines we've been told about? 45 min to an hour wait? I think not. As a poster said, LB is not LA. So true. The locals who live in the Downtown Area ( not the 9-5 workers who leave) will not pay $7.00 for a cup of yogurt with fruit. These people think spending a $1.59 for a cup of ice cream at Rite Aid is a big expenditure. If you don't have a gallon size Slurpee for a buck or less, the local demographics of Downtown LB will not frequent your store, not that you want them too. Actually they will frequent your store, for free samples, to use your bathroom or to sit inside without buying anything, but they won't spend any money. Pinkberry just might have found its one loser location. read more

I think this place is sucks. The yogurt is gross; especially their green tea flavor. It tasted like nothing what you buy at the Japanes store. It lacks a lot of green tea flavor. It's a truly ripped off for a 12 oz yogurt. I didn't know you have to pay $10 just to get a 12 oz yogurt with two toppings. I would never go back. read more

I had a Free Birthday Scoop reward to claim on my Baskin-Robbins account. With so many…read moreBaskin-Robbins in the area, I chose this one since it was on the way to where I was planning to pick up dinner. First and foremost, don't get this location on Atlantic Ave confused with the location by the now-closed Vons in the Bixby Knolls Shopping Center. This Baskin-Robbins is in Bixby PLAZA on the southwest corner of Atlantic and 36th. CVS is the anchor store there, but Baskin-Robbins is on the other end of that strip mall, adjacent to Atlantic. I made sure to clarify the location when I gave them a call to confirm they would honor the birthday scoop. A couple reviews of the *other* Baskin-Robbins said that location doesn't honor the birthday scoop, a confuzzling mind boggler as I believe such a dishonorable act reflects upon the stinginess of a grumpy owner/manager. This location, fortunately, does honor the birthday scoop, but the girl over the phone (Amerie?) mentioned I'd need to show ID. Okay, I guess. When I got there, there was already another customer inside the shop deciding on what to get, but there was luckily a second employee, Amerie, to assist me and answer my questions. There were about 3 ice cream chests that ran the length of the shop, so you have plenty of different flavors to choose from! I thought about the Oreo 'n Cold Brew flavor, but when I asked if it had caffeine in it, Amerie answered affirmatively. It was about 6 PM when I went, and I definitely didn't want caffeine at that time of day. They do have two flavors that are NSA (No Sugar Added): Caramel Turtle Truffle and Pineapple Coconut. However, I've tried both before and was willing to try something sweeter even though I had been trying to cut down on sweets. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup was calling my name because Reese's have been my favorite chocolate candy ever since I was a kid. The tub of Reese's was just about full, which almost made me wonder if nobody liked it as much? I was more than willing to give it a try, however! Amerie asked if I'd like a cone or a cup, but I went with a regular cup, though it confused her a bit when I accidentally called it a bowl instead. She also offered a lid as well as a takeout bag, both of which I accepted even though I would have been willing to sit inside at one of the few empty tables by the windows. As I went up to scan my rewards code, Amerie asked to see my ID. But then she muttered that she needed to write down my name and birthdate on a slip of paper. I didn't think much of it at the time after going through a pretty long and tough week, so I was like whatever. After I enjoyed my birthday scoop, I couldn't help but wonder why would they even need to keep track of my birthdate? I've been to several other Baskin-Robbins before, but this is the first time I've been asked to do this. If I had known that she'd need to write down that information first, I probably would have chosen a different Baskin-Robbins to go to as well as a different place to get dinner at. As for the ice cream itself, I took it back to my car to eat. I liked it! I could definitely taste the Reese's in the ice cream, though I thought there could have been a little more flavor without fringing into the "too much good is no good" zone. The pink spoon I was given was small, but surprisingly sturdy enough to use for my takeout dinner that evening. However, I didn't get to fully enjoy that scoop because I kept wondering why they needed to write down my name and birthday when the other locations I've visited before didn't do this. I sent in an inquiry to their customer service team, who passed it onto the team overseeing that shop and requested them to contact me. But get this, it was the *other* location on Atlantic that tried to reach out to me, so even they get their locations confused. I was also offered a receipt, which doesn't always happen when you redeem a free reward, and on the bottom of the receipt, there's a survey code where if you fill out the survey, you can save $1 on your next purchase of $4+. It's similar to what Dunkin' does on their receipts where you can earn a free donut with a drink purchase. This doesn't come as a surprise because Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' are owned by the same company, hence why my Baskin-Robbins receipt looked exactly like a Dunkin' receipt! With Baskin-Robbins being a dime a dozen, I don't foresee a return visit to this location. It was nice to try, but my next birthday scoop will be redeemed at a different shop instead.

Then he did the exact same thing with my daughter's ice cream. The ice cream was already melting before we even walked out the door. What disappointed me even more than the melting ice cream was the attitude. If you don't enjoy serving customers especially families with children maybe customer service isn't the right job for you.
