I'm not sure when they switched to the window, but I found it to be much more convenient than many people being squished inside a small space to order. There were lots of choices of ice cream to try, but I ultimately picked blueberry pie in a sugar cone. It was delicious. My mom picked peppermint (her favorite flavor) and was very happy with how many chunks of candy were in it. The employee that took our order was very friendly and seemed to scoop our ice cream well. I grabbed extra napkins because the humidity outside was already working against me. I walked over to the seating area on the side and got to work quickly before nature won. The black raspberry ice cream was cool and creamy, great raspberry flavor without tasting artificial as some do. The oreos adding some chocolatey richness to the experience. It felt indulgent and refreshing. I basically inhaled it so I wouldn't wear it but every bite was fantastic. Inside Scoop has been there for ages, and for good reason. Not a bad deal to pay only $1 more for the cone option. The ice cream was very creamy and tasted very similar to the milk that remains after consuming a bowl of Reese's Puffs. The location is great because you can walk along the bridge overlooking the river while enjoying the ice cream. Would definitely come here more often if it wasn't so far away!

The major issue I had with this place is the lack of options for people who have allergy restrictions. Typically when I go to an ice cream shop, they have either a good selection of soft serve flavors that are safe for those with nut allergies, or a protocol to follow with scooping hard ice cream to ensure that the order is safe for people with allergies. However, at Nana's, I was told that the only options in the shop that would be safe for my nut allergy were chocolate or vanilla soft serve in a cup, as the cones may be cross contaminated there as well. This was very disappointing. I understand that this is a fairly independent and locally run business, but I still believe that with the large population of people who have nut allergies, they needed to be a bit more accommodating and provide more options. In addition to this, the shop was very stingy with size. When you ask for a small, you get a kiddie size.
