I have a Pinkbox right by my house, but something about this location is better every time! I recently went in last Thursday afternoon to get a dozen donuts. I chose Pinkbox because of the huge variety. I can get something with cereal for my boyfriend, my classic cream filled that I like, and of course the weird stuff for my daughter. This particular time she got a poop emoji shape donut. There was a small crowd and I had a young woman named Angela help me. She was very sweet and descriptive when I had questions about the the different selections. She told me her personal favs as well as what was very popular among the crowd. For my Jewish friends, they had (I assume kosher) donuts with Hanukkah designs for the holiday. On this visit I chose with my eyes versus choosing any previous faves. The guy that works at night has horrible customer service. Voice is monotone, and he sounds annoyed to be working there. When I got my doughnuts, they were just sloppily thrown into the box. Did not greet me at the window. Mumbled my total. Basically threw my box at me. Won't be back and I will pass this experience on to all of my friends and family. This was my first time coming into the shop itself but I had tried donuts from here a couple times before when people bring donuts in to work. I'm gluten free so there really isn't any reason to come to a donut shop for me as they almost never have gluten free donuts. I would classify these donuts as good and I like the variety of flavors but I wouldn't say they're the best I've ever had. Last night December 5th 2022 my husband and I drove up to the drive-through to order some donuts. You can look at the receipt to see what we ordered. Upon going to the window to pay With a gift card that my husband purchased for me from the old location down the street from this location. To our surprise they would not accept the gift card. The young man at the window by the name of BREATON Said that he had never seen a gift card like this he did try to scan it but it would not scan. He proceeded to ask for help from a young lady Who tried also and could not get the card to scan. So she called her manager on the telephone. In the meantime cars are pulling up behind us. When she was done talking to her manager she said her manager said that they cannot accept that that card is no good. I said to the 2 of them that I felt that manager made a poor call. He rather to have spent all that time having us wait having the several cars behind us wait for a $9 ticket which we ended up paying cash for instead of giving us the food taking the gift card and looking into why that gift card didn't work He chose to just dismiss us. As I said we did pay for it on top of giving Breaton a tip because he was very friendly and sincerely tried to help us. After arriving home I opened the bag took one of the doughcro's out and found all 12 of them to be hard as a rock. The plain face doughcro was fresh so I was able to eat that one. All the rest of the order I trashed. I attempted to call to speak to the manager about this but was unable to find a number for that location. This is a gift card which I had only $16 left on it. Why that manager chose to make not just us unhappy as well as cause a backup of other customers in their cars waiting and waiting is beyond poor judgment on his/her part. They lost the two of us as customers and anyone I can tell how about the terrible experience. Who knows...maybe a couple of those people waiting in their cars will never return as well.
