Wow a Winchell's ! These are memories from my youth and we are going to remember when! We have been here a multitude of times. Each time gets better. This establishment is open twenty fours hours a day. That's too great! Donuts at all hours. Now that we know where to get donuts and coffee too . When we have been here the coffee was ready and good. Remember it's a Winchells. You're not here for the coffee. The staff is a usually friendly but are busy when we have been in . Especially in the wee hours of the morning. The teenagers that this place hires are just horrible. They are either high as a kite and don't know what they are doing or steel your money and claim they can't open the register to give you the proper change unless they have manager approval. Dont give this place cash, especially to teenagers here because clearly they don't know how to do simple math. I love this location, it is always stocked up after the sun goes down. The worker was prompt and helpful. Donuts are usually all fresh, and this location is 24 hours. There are food and drink options as well, including hot chocolate, coffee, and energy drinks. Come on Winchell's Donuts on Tropicana. This is the second time that we have received terrible donuts from you that look like and taste like trash. We thought last time was just one bad batch. Well, we found out that it wasn't. It cost us $70.00 for three dozen donuts with delivery and this is just a photo of one of the dozen that we ordered on September 1st for a fundraising event. Do you honestly think that you are giving a superior product, we sure don't? It looks like you just put sprinkle toppings on frosted donuts. We have been visiting this place for breakfast for months as its convenient and up the street from our new home. We have always noticed a horrible service. The main woman who takes your order has a look of annoyance and irritably in her face every time. She never smiles or is polite. Does the bare minimum but the foods always been good enough to not have an issue with it. Today we ordered two croissant sandwiches with no egg and she made in in front of us and began to wrap it up and my fiancé noticed she hadn't heated it up at all. Keep in mind it's a breakfast place and sandwich's are always heated up in front of us not our first time ordering this sandwich. She claims she will heat them up and proceeds to wrap them both then place them in bags and then put them in the microwave which was odd and I had a feeling wouldn't heat them properly. It's as if she was forgetting to do it but got called out and had to save face by wrapping the other so it looked intentional. As expected the sandwich's weee cold inside and cheese not melted. There was an awkward confrontation. Although I was calm and kind and simply asked if she could put them back in the microwave unwrapped we would appreciate it. She didn't smile apologize or really say anything but yeah. Very unhappy and over get horrible customer service and care for our food! read more

Donuts that we had were chocolate sprinkle, sugar, glaze, a sugar powdered custard one and two toasted plain bagels. They didn't have any burritos and no cream horns which is what I really wanted today. Food and iced coffee were good but the service we received was unpleasant. We felt as if ordering food was a burden to her. She had no smile whatsoever and hurried us. The woman's coworker on the other-hand was friendly, and worked fast, but did not seem to rush his customers. The facility seemed cluttered with too many tables and chairs. They had a cream and sugar station with napkins, plastic utensils, and straws, including coffee refills that was a total mess. Overall, I just didn't like my experience. The donut I had was mediocre, I've had better. The toasted bagels were nice and soft. Iced coffee was mediocre. Didn't visit the restroom, which they apparently lock since the woman who had to use it had to wait for the employee that was helping us, for a key. read more

I went to this location about three days ago. It was around 9 pm and I just left the hospital spending time with my aging father. I needed comfort food. The person at the counter was so warm and friendly and the donuts were hot and delicious. I ordered six and ate them for the next two days. Honestly, these donuts are delicious. Like their frosted and regular glazed are divine and so are their cake donuts. I'm so glad I stopped by the staple donut shop of my youth being raised in Las Vegas. That shop has been there for over 40 years now. It's nice to be able to visit this small little donut shop that has stood the test of time. I whole heartedly recommend. read more

Had donuts before in the morning time, I had asked about the late hours. They said were open 24hrs which is not true I stopped after work for some donuts. The sign was on and the door was locked very disappointed. Store was completely empty and dark. So much for my late night donut craving. Just moved to the area and was hoping to find a little donut shop to start going to, but sadly this is not the place.. spent $11 for 14 donut holes, 1 bagel with cream cheese & 1 regular donut. The regular donut wasn't too bad, but the donut holes were almost stale tasting, they were not very soft and are barely covered in icing and the bagel I got was a little burnt with barely any cream cheese on it. All in all, was pretty disappointed with my purchase today, just keep your money and go somewhere else, I will most likely not be coming back here unfortunately. Easily the worst donut shop I've been to in my entire life. I walked into an empty shop around 6:30 in the morning and waited 5 awkward minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. Half of the staff were replacing donuts and the other half was servicing a woman in the parking lot instead of tending to me. Then when I finally place my order, it's bad enough they didn't have regular glazed or chocolate iced at 6:30 in the morning but when I paid she didn't even hand me my items (2 bags)! She simply left them on the counter for me to take which I felt was very rude especially given that I had been there for about 10 minutes at this point. Overall, this place sucks and I'd buy donuts from the grocery store before I ever came back to this specific location. read more

Winchell's have the best softest donuts! They are a further drive on East Tropicana near the 515 freeway and are located in the Vista Plaza shopping center near Gardenas. I came around lunch to order a box of donuts for a co-worker's birthday. It's $9.99 for a dozen and the donuts are made fresh daily. They keep the display case well-stocked and the quality of service is nice. They have an assortment of flavor and fluffy donuts like Sprinkles, Glaze, Peanut Chocolate, Boston Cream, Caramel, Apple Filling, Raspberry Filling, Cinnamon, Apple Fritter, and the list goes on. They all taste great! My absolute favorites are the Apple Filling, Cinnamon, and Apple Fritter. In addition they serve muffins, croissants, Danish, quesadilla bread, bagels, breakfast sandwich, and they make cold drinks like freshly squeezed orange juice, carrot juice, strawberry and chocolate banana shake. For hot drinks, they offer coffee, tea, cappuccino, and hot chocolate. I'm just glad that Winchell's Donuts open 24/7 as most donut shops close early. It's a great place to come by for a simple date night, share a sweet treat, and have a tasty snack. Their location is far from where I live but it is well worth the visit, and I have a good feeling I'll be back for more. read more

So my experience is usually Great as far as the taste of my donuts from Winchell's but I cannot say that today. I bought 4 donuts; 2 cinnamon rolls and 2 chocolate Bavarian cream and they were horrible. The tasted really old and like dishwasher. Now you're probably wondering how on the heck does dishwasher taste? Well, if you try these you'll definitely get it. I had the chocolate and I was like oh. This is different. I tried to force myself but I just couldn't do it so to the trash it went. I figured I'd keep the other for breakfast so I warmed it up and anticipated my first bite...my second bite and I was like oh there is something going very wrong here. To the trash it goes. Winchell's is my go to doughnut shop for doughnuts before work or for the family on weekend. One dozen doughnuts is approximately $18. The staff is friendly and there is typically a good selection of doughnuts. If you do not see something ask. I have never had the opportunity to sit down in the shop and have a coffee but it seems like a great spot to just sit and watch the dozens of people who walk in and out as you sip your cup of joe. read more

2.5 STARS Not impressed! A couple of years ago, a CoWorker boasted about Winchell's. I had been passing this location when I cruise on Tropicana Avenue toward US 95. Today, I decided to try it. After the experience I am left with the impression that this was a fantastic place a couple of years ago or I caught it at the wrong time which was around 10 on a Monday morning. When I walked in I saw the display case of doughnuts. But I didn't see any signs indicating what type of doughnut. I'm thinking, "is this a jelly filled pineapple donut or strawberry doughnut? " To add to the confusion one flavor would be in back of another flavor. This was confusing for the woman that worked here. Furthermore, I did not see any interesting doughnuts that Pink Box or even Dunkin Donuts serves . Mediocre service went hand in hand with the presentation. The woman who served me the "two donut and coffee special", that came to $3.25 by the way, was far from nasty and short of friendly. The friendliness trailed far behind Pink Box Doughnuts employees. Before I bit into the doughnut, the coffee experience wasn't exactly leaving me with a sweet first impression. This is probably my first Yelp review where I had to walk from the register to a separate counter holding coffee without a lid. Now the separate counter had the coffee lids but they had zero sugar substitutes. There were two baskets holding packets of sugar but no Sweet N Low or Equal. There are people out there that like sugar substitutes in their coffee! By the way the coffee was drinkable but lagging behind Dunkin Donuts. It is difficult to discuss a doughnut when you don't know what the name is because of no signs. The doghnut with the red frosting fell short of my standards: fresh and delicious. This was the donut in the row in front of the other row of doughnuts. Regardless that it wasn't stale, it sure was far short of fresh out of the oven. It tasted more on the lines of a Hostess doughnut than a competitor's. The second doughnut with the strawberry filling was okay. In conclusion, I am unimpressed. Okay, so this isn't a small business, las vegas local chain. But unlike the other donut shops in town that I do enjoy, this Winchell's offers hours that I can get donuts at a time. I don't know what it is about their donuts but I do enjoy them. Especially, when they are fresh. And this location has extremely fresh donuts when we went the other night. They had a chocolate cinnamon crumb donut which I have never had in my life which was to die for. It was the perfect texture of a cake donut without being too dry or too sweet. They also offer mini size donuts (6 for $1.49) which is a great deal if you ask me! Perfect size for my kiddo without too much sugar for him. Have gone to this place prior to the pandemic most times because up until recently it was one of the few Winchell's in the valley to make fresh cheesecake muffins my dad loves. I believe most of the times throughout the years a young man named Cesar helped me out and if I recall we'd always spark up a football convo as he's an avid Eagles fan just like my cousin but from the West Coast, so go figure Cesar always has been top notch. This time around though a young lady named Jennifer helped me out. I called to see if they had any of the aforementioned muffins and she said that she did. This was post breakfast m-brunch-lunch rush hour and she managed to save 5 for me so thank you very much for that! Donuts here are so tasty. The chocolate glazed are my go to. I take advantage of their 2 donuts 1 coffee special for one at 2.99, but there's also a 4 donuts 2 coffee for 3.99 so you can't afford not to get a quick sugar pick me up for yourself or with your better half. Love this joint as it brings me Cali nostalgia. 4/5 since I asked if next time I could call to put an order in and she said no that it's whatever they bake. read more

You had my phone number and clearly had instructions which indicated what I wanted. You could have made a 30 second phone call (uber eats confined you had my number). YOUR PHOTO ATTACHED TO THE "GLAZED DONUT" ORDER IS MISLEADING. I saw the photo of stuff I actually wanted (see photo attached). "Hey customer I noticed you wanted X but you selected X, do you want to cancel your order and re-submit or would you like to pay the $1.50 difference for what you wanted?" ^30 second convo. I have to give this place one star based on their absolute stupidity and laziness. It's 9am and they are completely out of anything breakfast. Why? Because they don't have eggs they said. I don't think they have enough business sense to understand just how much money/business they are going to lose today. This place is open 24 hours and it's 9 o'clock in the morning and already they are out of a key ingredient to making over half of the things they offer on the menu. What is incredibly astounding is how 4+ grown adults didn't, and haven't come together to form the single thought of "someone go to the Cardenas directly behind us and buy eggs" They are right next door to a huge grocery store that of course sells eggs & yet they would rather just lose the business then to have satisfied customers AND more money flowing IN and not OUT the door. I'm not a donut person at all, but I come here for the breakfast sandwiches. The croissants have a good flaky, buttery, and soft texture and an amazing taste. The breakfast combo is a great deal and the hubby enjoys the extra donut I'm not eating. The service is friendly and fast. Although they're busy they still smile, talk, and joke around too. I love the fact they sell conchas (Mexican shell sweet bread). That might be the next thing I try.
