Pinks is at the Sea Life Park
    Joshua K.

The dogs are really good here! They definitely live up to the Pinks tradition for delicious dogs! They have Longboard, Big Wave, Corona, Budweiser, and Bud Light available in the can. They also have local favorites like short ribs and Loco Moco (a ground beef patty on white rice with two eggs over easy - it was awesome! It would have been better if they had used non-frozen beef patties). The Kalbi Ribs were #DangGood and so tender that you could easily cut them with the plastic cutlery provided. The chili was so good that I found myself grabbing for fries, onion rings, and anything within reach so I could dip them in the chili. I actually sent my son back to buy more! Overall, if you're looking for food in this area that is good and trustworthy, then stop in at Pinks then check out the Sea Life Park as well!

A Hollywood celebrity magnet since 1939, Pink's Hot Dogs is the newest addition to the Sea Life Park Hawaii ohana. I first tried Pink's Hot Dogs in LA, because it's a tourist must try place. Now, it's going to become a Hawaii tourist must try when you are visiting Sea Life Park. They have the infamous hot dogs from LA with some of the celebrity favorites like Giada DeLaurentis, Rosie O'Donnell Long Island Dog, but they also created some local flavors like Makapuu Mama Mia, Hang Ten or the exclusive Hawaiian-Style Dog, with teriyaki sauce, local cole slaw and Dole pineapple chunks. It's good hot dogs, the only downside is that most dogs run from $9 to $13, which is almost double the price as LA.

I drove from town to Hawaii Kai to check out the opening weekend of Pink's at Sea Life Park. I used to live in Hawaii Kai from 2005-2008 and never once paid to go to Sea Life Park. It was super depressing back then. It now seems pretty presentable as an attraction. Back to the review of Pink's. One can park at the Sea Life Park lot for free to eat at Pink's. The catch is that you have to give the attendant $5, and then come back with a receipt within an hour, where you will get your $5 back. Sea Life Park no like honor system. I digressed again. OK back to the actual review of the food. My kids and I went by the food court, which is where Pink's is. It looked kind of cafeteria style, and while the seating area had some patrons, we walked right up to order without waiting. Will Pink's survive like this? I'm sure the rent is high, and they will need big volume. Perhaps the tourists will eat it all up after they read that Hollywood celebs frequent Pink's on Melrose in L.A. I ordered the Hawaiian dog ($8.99) and my daughter just ordered the plain dog ($5.99). It took like 10 minutes for the order to come out, even though there was no crowd. It appears that the staff probably has to work things out before Pink's becomes a well oiled machine, like a Pink Cadillac. What came out were two 9" dogs. The allure of the Pink's dog I think is the casing as it had a really nice snap upon biting into it. The dog was slightly warmer than lukewarm, so I'm not sure why it took 10 minutes to get it to us. Make it sizzling hot at least. The Hawaiian dog had on it some cole slaw, some sauce and pineapple chunks. The bun was designed for the typical 6" dog and could have come from a Love's Bakery 8 bun package. I could have just bought a Costco dog and put some cole slaw and pineapples on it, and it would have been similar. It would also have been $1.50 plus the cost of cole slaw and pineapples, and I would have had all you can drink soda with it too. I wound up disappointed. It was a long drive to Waimanalo, and I was hoping for something special. It is not worth the drive (my kids got to see some seals playing from the food court area so that was nice; and the view of Rabbit Island and seeing the deep blue waters of Waiamanalo is always special). If you have a chance to be in the area, it's not a bad option if not out of the way. Just order the basic dog and add some grilled onions ($.99) a la carte on your own. But don't try the specialty dogs, they don't do anything of added value to command the premium. Finally, there are no specialty hot dog condiments, just the good ol' mustard and ketchup. I'd like some spicy mustard available. Save money, and save time by buying your normal Costco dog plus soda for $1.50. Plus you get sauerkraut for free. If you want a gourmet dog, go to Hank's.

    Disgusting and gross

Huge line. Then a small sign only at the cashier that their credit card machine was down and only accepted cash. That was fun. The food came out cold. It was chicken so it could get people sick. They redid it but it taste like cardboard. Was horrible. I would never eat here again. Bad food and bad customer service. Very pricey as well.

Stop the presses!!! Hold up! There's a Pink's Hollywood in Hawaii?!? Shut the front door! Perhaps I'm biased because Pink's Spicy Polish Chili Cheese Dog is my comfort food and gives me all the warm fuzzies. Or it could be because I have yet to find a decent hot dog in Hawaii. Or maybe it's because I'm so desperate to keep Pink's Hawaii in Hawaii. Either way, I want to make sure this place gets put on the map and stays there for my benefit! Ok folks let's face it...yes, these hot dogs are $10+ and yes, you can get $3 ones at Costco but let's get one thing clear...everything in Hawaii is more expensive especially if they're good. These are not your average Farmer John's hot dogs. And no, they are not fancy and sprinkled with magical gold flakes. But it's Pink's for pete's sake! If you're from California, you can understand and maybe even appreciate my enthusiasm, loyalty and excitement. The chili is like no other and doesn't taste like it just came out of a can. Their hot dog casing just snaps when you bite into it (wipes drool). This isn't just my hunger talking. If I were in Cali, I would be going to Pink's if I were craving for a good hot dog. Again, perhaps it's the nostalgia I feel when I think of Cali food talking but regardless of what anyone says, I love Pink's and I hope it stays put until my next visit to Oahu.

World famous Pink's hot dogs in Hawaii!

Of all the locations on the island to open up Hollywood-famous Pink's Hot Dogs, I did not imagine Sea Life Park would be on the list. But what a pleasant surprise it was! Photos of famous Hollywood celebrities are hung all around the outdoor eatery. There was a bit of a wait to place your order, but nothing like the lines in LA for sure! They offer all kinds of hot dog combos on the menu, but I decided to go with The Original All Beef Naked Dog to taste what the real deal was about. One bite into that crunchy exterior, I was sold! It was kinda pricey--yes, $6 for a plain hot dog?! But to me, it was worth it. I hope they decide to branch out and open up more locations on the island. It's a shame only visitors to the park get to taste these famous dogs!

The hot dog was delicious it was perfect. Instead of getting regular fries we got onion rings which were also good

On Hawaii News Now, I saw a segment of the owner's of Pink's Hot Dogs from the mainland showcasing their infamous hot dogs and announcing their grand opening of their new location at Sea Life Park and with admission to Sea Life Park and mentioning #sealifepinks at the ticket booth, the first 300 people at the park would get free hot dogs. My husband and I decided we'd make the most of his weekend off and go check out the new Pink's Hot Dogs at Sea Life Park and spend the day hanging out with the sea life there. When we got there, we made sure to mention the #sealifepinks at the ticket booth to the park. We got two tickets for free hot dogs. After checking out the sea lion show, we went to get lunch at Pink's. I thought there would be a lot of people there for the grand opening, but there weren't that many people there. There were still lots of open tables. The owner's were donned in their pink jackets talking to customers. Looking the menu board, we saw how expensive their hot dogs were. A plain or "naked" hot dog was almost $4. Other hot dogs with different toppings over $10. When we got to the register to put in our order, we got one naked dog and one chili dog with our free tickets, a $12 for a Hang Ten hot dog topped with bacon, sauerkraut, tomatoes, and sour cream, a side of fries, and two large drinks totaling a $18. The hot dogs had a nice snap to them like arabiki sausage. The chili was tasty and best of all bean-less. The Hang Ten hot dog was very messy to eat with all the toppings. If I had to make a choice, I prefer the chili dog. When we were going back to the parking lot, we saw a sign that said that customers who just go to Pink's and return within an hour with their receipt from Pink's will get their $5 refund for parking.

It's not up to par with the LA location at all!!

I have been wanting to try this location for a while now so when I decided to have a family day we decided to go to sealife park and I was excited about getting a hotdog from pinks because I loved the Hollywood location. This location is no where near up to par!! The management should be ashamed!!! I had way more bun than hotdog and the toppings weren't even fresh. The fries were even soggy and not even warm. We had to stand in line for 15 minutes and waited another 15 or 20 minutes to get our food soo disappointing.

Housed in a former gas station, it would be easy to drive right on by without a second thought, as…read morenothing from the outside hints at the culinary treasures within. Despite the fact that it's a considerably trek for city-dwellers, factoring either traffic or bus schedules into the equation, or both if you're particularly unlucky, it's a journey always worth taking. Hit Hanauma Bay along the way and make it a day trip; the only way to top those dazzling sights is to follow them with a stellar meal. Boasting a menu composed of locally-sourced produce and entirely vegan options, you'll want to take a number of friends for the best experience. Heck, get out there and make some new friends! Join one of the long communal picnic tables out back and introduce yourself; there are no friendlier folks on earth than those living in paradise, as far as I've seen. That said, if there was only one dish to order, it would have to be the Oh WOW Laulau. Wow, indeed! No where else on earth have I found vegan laulau, let alone such a stellar rendition. Traditionally consisting of fatty pork and/or fish steamed in taro leaves, this version eschews the meat in favor of hearty root vegetables, adding creamy coconut into the mix for richness. Not to be overlooked is the Tofu Poke provided on the side, claiming to be spicy but really bearing just enough warmth to taste perfectly balanced. This was easily my personal favorite from the small sampling of dishes provided, but it's a close call when all the options are so good. Another front runner is the BBQ Portobello Sandwich. Mushrooms marinated in a bright, smoky barbecue sauce practically sing between two whole wheat buns. Coconut slaw tops off the assemblage with just the right amount of subtle sweetness to contrast the deeply savory flavors within. Simpler but no less spectacular dishes include the Roasted Veg Platter and Roasted Veg Avocado Sandwich. The way that the vegetables are treated with respect, from the moment they're harvested from nearby farms to the care taken when they reach the kitchen is evident with every bite. Cooked with care and proffered generously with each serving, even the basics make the trek out here worthwhile. I'm still trying to recreate that impossibly umami gravy offered on the side. It's one of those things that are so astoundingly, inconceivably delicious, it's impossible to deconstruct. Each entree promises an ideal amount of food; satisfying diners without over-stuffing them. That said, you'll still want to make room for dessert, especially when you see the towering bowls full of Outta This Swirled Soft Serve. Cool, naturally sweet spirals of banana-based soft serve are dressed to the nines with cacao sauce that hardens much like magic shell, granola and coconut flakes tumbling down the mountainous terrain, and fresh fruits that vary based on local availability- Expect papaya always to be in ample supply, based on the thriving papaya trees on premise. Each order is abundant enough to be a considered a full meal in and of itself.

(Tookout 04/22/26 WE @ 7:00pm): No raised fingers given at this chicken coop!…read more In my quest to continue exploring the various cuisine scenes as well as other businesses throughout O'ahu's Windward side, specifically the neighborhood of Hawaii Kai (southeast shore of the island), I ventured into Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers as my first time to ever try their food after I've seen them all over the place on the Mainland. I was always down for a juicy succulent piece of fried chicken however it was fed to me. It wasn't the healthiest way to eat chicken, but things fried just tasted better, correct!? Founded in 1996 on the campus of LSU by Todd Graves and named after a friend's Labrador Retriever (Raising Cane), his arduous dream that began in college has since grown into one of the fastest grown restaurant brands in the U.S. Would I raise a thumb's up instead of a middle finger to their tender chicken!? PURCHASE(S) 3pc Chicken Fingers Sandwich ($8.79): This messy two-hander was slipping and sliding all over the place as I tried to keep it together (I failed). Three crispy crunchy thick pieces of chicken between a pillowy soft sweet bun with a smear of Cane sauce and a hint of lettuce, this was a lovely introduction to this brand's food, and I now understood the hype that surrounded it. Aesthetics aside, you could've easily eaten this as fingers and a side of bread, but this large sandwich did the job. My only wish was that it was spicy and came with pickle chips, but it was still ono! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=sod8F8j7AIUDoK3mQptIUw The Box Combo - 4pc Chicken Fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Coleslaw, Cane Sauce, 22floz Drink ($12.79): Because of my sandwich, I was able to split this meal into two! Loaded with a little bit of everything, the chicken was just as yummy as my sandwich, there were plenty of spud sticks with a light dusting of seasoning, the toast was a revelation all on its own and would easily order a few more as a snack, the coleslaw lacked flavor (I put some on my sandwich instead), the Cane sauce add a touch of zing but wished it was spicy, and the sweet tea was like I was transported to the South it was so damn good and probably loaded with a ton of sugar. A heck of a meal at a deal! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=f5GUo39r6DcCdVAVoN-ArA SERVICE I was greeted by a young woman at the front counter where I immediately placed my order, received my cup to fill with my fountain drink of choice, and within five minutes my name was called as we caught each other's eyes while I waited nearby. Everything was good - mahalo! PARKING (FREE; N/A this instance): Located in the outdoor Hawaii Kai Towne Center, there were plenty of spots although I decided to do the 25-minute one-way walk for exercise - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A standard quick-service restaurant layout with a central order counter, a fountain drink machine off to the side, plenty of dining spots in a spacious room, and minimal decorations with some interesting elements such as these ceiling disco balls https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=72&select=Ruk3zzf-dWb0pTPXWIWt6Q (I didn't know if they actually worked). Plenty of natural lighting came in through the front doors and surrounding windows while recessed electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. There were no TVs while pop music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I really enjoyed the food at Hawaii Kai's Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers location as my first experience with this brand. High marks for all of the food (however... please add some spice to the chicken seasoning and sauce, and more flavor to the coleslaw), the portions were great, the prices were very reasonable, and the service straightforward. The menu was extremely limited, but the same could be said with In-N-Out. I wished there were some Hawaii-specific menu items. Sure, they were a fast-food chain restaurant, but they started as a local small mom & pop business at one time. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $23.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
