I usually never leave reviews when I'm unsatisfied or unhappy with a spot but I genuinely believe they're wrong for serving this food to the public. I hope they really start thinking about improving their cleanliness, customer service, and their food. The food was sloppy and honestly tasted like it had just been sitting there for some time. The hot dog was RUBBERY and the bread was hard. The customer service felt careless and rushed too. On top of all of that, the cleanliness wasn't the best. When I tell you we tried to force ourselves to eat the food because we were starving and EVERYTHING else always closes so early. Between the customer service, the cleanliness and food it's definitely not worth the price. read more

I originally wanted to try here for its pizza hot dog but they don't have it here anymore. I heard it was good. The regular hot dog seems overpriced. Staff was friendly but their service was slow. No indoor seating, so have to sit outside. I would try again if they have their pizza hot dog. read more

The ambiance is very cozy and homey just due to the fact that the business doesn't have seats and tables inside. However, the food IS SOOO GOOD and service is amazing! I went to Hawaii for vacation and learned about the original owners of Frank and Fries as well as their owner, ShinGo! He was super sweet and I loved chatting with him and George! If you're high right now reading this, then you're probably doing some research before pulling the trigger on an Uber Eats order. I say go for it. Everything was really good. Ima keep it a buck, don't come here for the fries. I got the big back fries and the only good thing about it was the fact that they loaded it up with a bunch of the toppings. However, the quality of them -- trash. Other than that, the service is good. Ambiance is meh but you have to take into account that it's next to a night club so more than likely this is a spot people go to when they're faded. If you do come here anyway, I would try the hot dogs over the fries. I wish I would've got that instead because I dead couldn't finish my food due to how it tasted. read more

Hidden Gem in Waikiki located at Kuhio Marketplace next to Kono 's . The owner Shingo is always friendly and accommodating. He made great suggestions on the menu as well . 100% all beef Nathan's Hotdogs . They have many varieties to choose in toppings . Delicious onion rings always hot and fresh . Made to Oder . Frank and Fries has open for about a year now . A must try for a delicious lunch or snack after the beach . The hotdogs has a wonderful grill taste just like when you have a back yard BBQ and grill the hotdogs on your grill . Very tasty and flavorful . They offer combo meals which are great choices . Best hot dog in Waikiki! I was excited for this place to open, because I love hot dogs. They use 100% all beef Nathan's hot dogs. I ordered it with deli mustard and onion sauce. So delicious!!! I saw on their Instagram that they added even more sauces to top off their franks :,) which means I will have to go back very soon!! Parking was pretty simple for me! I was lucky to find street parking and walked right over. They are tucked away. If you know Matcha stand Maiko, they are a few doors down. read more

This place posts there hours as being 6:00pm to 2:00AM; however, I ordered through uber eats at 1:00AM, the order went through, my card was charged, but the restaurant was closed already. I'm not the type of person to write a bad review abt a place, but this needs to be shared. firstly it is expensive for the size the meals, my party and I then saw an employee grab the fries from a frozen bag with his bare hands secondly the bread of the hotdog was rock solid. The staff was very kind however the eating environment was not so pleasant there were roaches crawling outside all over and it just wasn't a good experience overall, after we finished eating 2/3 of my party threw up all the food due to severe stomach pain and nausea. read more

I ordered online just before I headed out because it was about a 10 to 15 minute walk from me. I got there and only one guy was working so when I told him I was picking up he replied with "it's a little backed up right now" which is understandable. I sit down waiting for him to catch up but about 5-6 more people walk in and place an order. They all got their food before me, mind you I've been waiting for about an hour now. And finally he sees me just waiting for a while and asked me if I had ordered and told him I had placed an online order which he started working on but then another person walked in and ALSO got their food before I did. read more

I've been working in the food industry for a while now. I'm not sure if it's the management or the lack of sh*ts the staff give but it's not hard to put the extra effort in and toast the hot dog bun. Matter of fact it's really not that difficult to make a good hot dog. I'm not sure if it's 1 employee doing this or what but if you're gonna charge almost $2 for a side of sauce you should put it in the bag. I'm not picky I pretty much eat everything. No my hot dog was nasty. Everything was cold, except the burnt cheese on top. Small portion of fries. And 2 sauces were missing which isn't the biggest deal just annoying. Whoever was working on Thursday night- Friday morning, Feb 20-21 probably needs to work somewhere else. read more

such a disappointment..my husband and i went here about 20 mins ago.. workers were playing video games.. when my husband was ready to order, one of the workers stood up to help him, but the other one continued playing, and even had the nerve to say "hurry, you're gonna make me die in the game". When I took my first bite, it didn't hit the spot. It didn't taste anything like a Hawaiian pizza. So sad because my cravings weren't fully met. I just finished it to not waste food.

An older gentleman who appeared to be of Okinawan descent, working the cashier register, accosted us because I was privately discussing with my family about splitting different items with them. We were all ordering something, so he wasn't losing any money, but he told us about how prices are double in Waikīkī. First of all, it is rude to interrupt your customers that way. Secondly, we don't go to Waikīkī or care about Waikīkī. What happened to serving the locals? Third, Waikīkī has an assortment of restaurants, prices, and qualities, and they shouldn't be how you base your services. Lastly, I guarantee I could find a better deal in Waikīkī if I wanted to. Next time you're in the area, just go get a $6 bento or a $5 burrito from 7-Eleven next door. I assure you, the price performance and experience will be better. If Rainbow Drive-In is in the business of comparing themselves to other things, let's compare them to 7-Eleven and at least try to be better than them, right? I can get mochiko chicken from 7-Eleven for $6.99 that is similar in portion size and better quality. Meanwhile, they are serving their fatty, dry chicken for $16.75. Highway robbery! And they are not fancy, with their dirty picnic tables and plastic cutlery. They are just a step above a food truck, if that. Save yourself from the hype. They have gone downhill like a landslide. Go elsewhere.

Specifically, the burgers include: * 100% premium fresh chilled ground chuck, hand-portioned daily and seasoned with a secret 7-spice blend. * Char-broiled cooking. Patties are cooked to order on an open-flame charcoal grill to lock in juiciness. * Signature "super sauce." It's yellow, but without any mustard and is actually an aioli that is sweet, tangy, and savory. * Customization. Located in the Koko Marina Shopping Center, free parking is available that is shared with other businesses in the complex. The restaurant interior is clean spacious with indoor and outdoor dining available; the interior décor has a nice ambiance of a surfing theme of the 1980's with wall photos. Note that that there are 12 locations in Hawaii, with 11 on Oahu, and one on Maui.
