Normally, I love this place. Pretty much been happy with almost everything Ive ordered here. Today I got the pesto chicken panino sandwich, which was very good. However, I asked if I could add barrata to the sandwich and the waitress said no problem. She didn't mention an up charge, but I figured she'd either tell me or it would be like three or four dollars at the most. They charged me nine dollars. I think they should have let me know that and given me the option of declining the addition. A $17 sandwich turned into a $26 sandwich. It was good but I don't know if it was $26 worth and kind of a bummer on what was a nice meal with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. The only criticism I have about the sandwich itself is that the bread was too soft for a Panini. Needed something more substantial to hold up. My friend enjoyed her mushroom and goat cheese sandwich and said it had a little kick which was nice. Parking is a challenge and no fun in rainy weather which also means the patio is not an option. We had such a lovely experience with excellent and attentive service! I loved the high ceilings and spacious decor of the converted warehouse space. Our waitress was very accommodating to our table's gluten allergy and ensured the shareable apps were gluten-free without us asking. The salumi board was excellent pickings with our beverages. I absolutely love the vibe at this space. The patio is incredible for nice weather day. The goal for the food toes the line of Mediterranean, but tends to have a difficult time with execution. I love that it's a great go-to for drinks and brunch. Brunch: I recommend the lamb papas with a sunny side up egg on top. It's close to my job, so I'll end up there for lunch from time to time. The outdoor dining area was lovely and the service outstanding. I ordered the risotto as it is one of my favorite foods. The whole dish was overwhelmed with sour lemon. So much so that I was unable to eat more than a few bites. My lunch companion had ordered the same dish (with added shrimp). I had my serving boxed to go, thinking I might offer it to her, but she in turn was asking if I might like hers, as she could taste nothing but the lemon. Pinky's is a Scott's fave! The ambiance is so bright and airy between both the indoor and outdoor space. I've enjoyed many brunches and dinners in both spaces. I absolutely love that the linen napkins are pink. So great for a hang with the girl's but also such an inclusive space for all. I've been to Pinky's so many times with large groups and let me say I'm always so impressed how they handle large parties. I mean like no sweat loss to split checks and apps and all the things. I'll say the food still comes out in such a reasonable time for large parties also. I've had dates here also with just two people and it's equal service in my experiences. Y'all know I'm always going to shout it from the rooftops when a business has superior service. Way to rep hospitality! Everything I've ever tried at Pinky's is delicious, even things I wouldn't think I'd like. Lamb papas - just do it. Calamari - so crispy and fresh and the aioli that comes with it is yummy. Meatball - perfectly fresh and homemade with beef, chicken, and lamb. I love a good pork belly, so I always enjoy the pork belly BLT. On this particular visit, I opted for something new and tried the shaved ribeye ras El hanout which was great. I opted for my side to be fries. I'm a fry girl at heart and will give any place with good fries bonus points, and they didn't miss here. So hot, crispy, salted, and you get sauce with them. Get the homemade ranch..it's just different and delicious. Pinky's always has nice drinks also. I enjoy the le bolle, secret garden, and orange wine is refreshing. Mocktails are good too. We popped in here for a bit to eat on a Sunday afternoon and stumbled upon a great brunch spot. We were immediately greeted by a nice hostess and an unfortunate haze of smoke from the open air kitchen. The hostess asked if we had a reservation, which we did not, and told us it would be a 45 minute wait. Fortunately, we spotted an opening at the bar and asked if we could sit there and she happily obliged. Sitting at the bar was nice to watch the 3 busy bartenders do their thing. It is built in entertainment. Our bartender/server took our drink and food order promptly. We had mimosas which were very good. Our food came out timely and the three of us were in the clean plate club. We enjoyed: *Goat cheese and mushroom French omelette *Crispy chicken cutlet bowl *Make it a Sammy I had the omelette which was nice and fluffy with just the right amount of goat cheese. I could have gone for just a bit more mushroom. There is no mushrooms inside the omelette, just 2 of top. I chose the side of fruit which was pineapple and grapes. The downfall of Pinky's is the haze of smoke throughout the restaurant. It was pretty unfortunate but not so bad that it was a dealbreaker. Being in the heart of Scott's Addition, the parking is all on the street so it might take you a minute to find a spot and walk a block. read more

My wife and I have enjoyed Pinky's a number of times, great food, great service. That was, until, Nov 22, where all that went south. Our appetizer, the Zeppole, was raw on the inside with raw dough inside. My shaved Ribeye sandwich had two or three tiny slices of beef and was too dry to eat, the lemon greens were all that was edible. My wife's Mushroom and goat cheese omelet had two tiny mushrooms on top of the eggs and mayonnaise, not goat cheese drizzled on top. Been here twice now and it's fantastic. Chicken tirokroketes might be my favorite dish ever. Super great about gluten sensitivity and careful about cross contamination, and the people that aren't gluten free are also happy. My fiancé and I are new to Richmond and looking for a good place to eat. We randomly picked Pinky's, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was vibrant and cozy, the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was next-level. Our server, Iyanna (M), was incredible--super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She kept our glasses full, checked in just the right amount, and made us feel cared for while still handling her other tables like a pro. Service like that is rare and deserves to be recognized. Food-wise, my fiancé had the risotto with added chicken (SO good), and I went with the shaved ribeye and fries--both were flavorful and perfectly cooked. We even grabbed a dish to go and topped off our meal with a slice of cheesecake for dessert. Everything was on point. Pinky's has officially earned a spot on our list of favorite Richmond spots. My boyfriend and I went here for brunch today and had one of the most uncomfortable restaurant experiences I've ever had. We initially asked if we could order a pitcher of mimosas with the juice on the side. The server said they couldn't do that, which was totally fine. So instead, we simply ordered a bottle of champagne from their wine list and asked for a glass of orange juice on the side. For some reason, this seemed to deeply irritate our server. From that point forward he acted as though we were trying to get around their rules, even though we were literally just ordering items that were listed on the menu. His attitude immediately became cold and visibly annoyed. It got so uncomfortable that we eventually told him not to worry about the orange juice at all because it clearly seemed to be an issue. He did eventually bring it anyway, but by that point the entire interaction had already made the table feel awkward and tense. The bigger issue wasn't the juice, it was the attitude. From the moment we sat down, the service felt unfriendly, and it only escalated from there. The whole situation was over something incredibly small and unnecessary. I actually lost my appetite because of how uncomfortable the experience became, and debated leaving, but we had already ordered and felt bad doing so. We used to enjoy coming here, but after this experience we absolutely won't be returning, and we'll be sure to let friends know that this is apparently the level of service the restaurant finds acceptable. read more

One of the best meals I've had in Virginia! When I planned a day trip to Richmond, I asked a few friends for restaurant suggestions and every single one of them included Pinky's on their list. Their picatta is truly to die for. One of the best chicken picattas Ive ever had and its a favorite of mine, in general. Their Caesar Salad is also super unique and delicious! Pinky's is a solid restaurant with a nice assortment of menu and drink choices. Good for all meals but I really enjoy their brunch. Great service and a pleasing layout. You'll be greeted immediately upon entering and the tables are spaced nicely and the seating is comfortable. Service was a little slow but it was to be expected we went on Valentine's Day for a dinner night out hopping to make it something special we ordered the scallops and the chard octopus to start those were mediocre at best and we had for our main course the shrimp risotto and the sea bass and it was very underwhelming we were hopping for more flavor in the food but all the dishes just kinda fell flat and did not have enough flavor to them that risotto was sweet which was weird experience for me I've never had a sweet risotto before but I was not very good I could not finish it which was disappointing for use we had high hopes for this restaurant but it let us down if you are in the area and wanting something nice to eat for a date night this is not the spot to go to. I loved this place and can't believe it's taken me so long to try it. We came here because our favorite brunch spot down the street had a 2 hour wait - definitely happy with our choice! The food was delicious, everything was super fresh and came out quickly. I loved that they had specialty cocktails that had fresh fruit/herbs/ingredients (we sat at a table by the bar and were able to watch the drinks being made). Portions for tapas were surprisingly large - we got the zucchini fritti, the crab risotto and braised lamb and there were plenty of leftovers, with a cheesecake and some insanely delicious house made chocolate-hazelnut ice cream for dessert. We stopped by as part of the Richmond Restaurant Week 2025. Our reservation was for 6 and were seated immediately. The place is one large open, high ceiling rectangle. Industrial but nice. The was no issue with noise even though the tables are rather close together. We had the set menu. We started with the meatballs and the chicken croquettes. Both were very tasty. The sauce on the meatballs was very good. For mains we had the spicy pork chops and the chicken piccata. The pork chop had a nice kick from the peppers and the wonderful sauce. It came with a super tender and tasty baked potato. The chicken was fork tender with fried potato and. Micro green salad. Everything was so tasty with a nice level of seasoning. I took my Midwest parents and they enjoyed everything too and since it was all gluten free, I got to try everyone's dish :) Meatballs are great, get the crostini to soak up the sauce. We even had the Octopus, which was so yummy! The staff is super awesome. My husband got a non-gluten-free drink and the waiter gave me a heads up not to drink it. We visited this cute cafe for lunch over Labor Day weekend. From the hostess to our super helpful server to the fantastic brunch menu, this place was a hit. I had the Serrano ham omelet which was complimented perfectly with manchego and a harissa aioli with a kick. My husband had the more traditional breakfast with over easy eggs and toast with ham. The coffee was lovely as well and they can offer you oat milk if you don't do dairy. I love that you can get a healthy side as well of either fruit or salad. I will definitely return! read more

I've finally found a restaurant in Richmond that is open all day! Hallelujah! Richmond is odd in the sense that most restaurants open at 5 PM, with some opening as early as 4 PM. Pinky's is open from lunch all the way up through dinner which is rare in this city. Other places in the area that are open for lunch close around 2:30 PM and then reopen at 5 PM. It's pretty annoying. Anyway, this place is really nice. It's probably the nicest place I have been to as I like a large space with nice aesthetics and plenty of light and this place delivers. The bar service was great and the menu here is awesome if you like Tapas and Mediterranean food in general. The wine and cocktail selections here are solid as well. I had the Octopus appetizer which was just the right portion and really good. I liked the Potato they served with it as well. This is a great spot if you like a great atmosphere. read more
