AAA sent Bob Carlson Towing to assist us with a flat tire on our Dodge Ram 21 foot Class B motorhome. AAA had told me we would be towed to a AAA approved repair shop because we do not have a factory installed spare tire. When the tow truck arrived, the driver determined that he was unable to tow it because the tire was so flat. He very kindly assisted us in finding a mobile tire company, Pinky's Tires, who promptly arrived and replaced the tire. I would like to commend Jordan from Pinky's who was so kind and caring on the phone while all this was arranged, Junior who kept us smiling while he changed the tire, and Dean who worked so diligently to make sure the sensors in our new tires were working properly. Bob, who I have known for many years from another location quoted me a $104 portal to portal labor charge, plus $25 fuel charge to come to our site for tire repairs. It was agreed that I would have a call when the driver was leaving to come out and open a gate for entry to not have him waiting for my arrival (labor clock was ticking). Juan arrived at the gate with no notice, he was not told to call ahead of time, he was a good guy and preformed the repairs needed without issue. When the office called about payment they charged for 3.5 hours and fuel and on top of it they charged an additional charge for the two tire repairs at $85ea. $170.00 extra to that quoted for service. This was never disclosed or addressed upon the request for service for the tire repair nor is anyway standard in the tire industrial locally for double charging for labor on site and than again for labor to repair two tires at the site during the time they were being paid their hourly rate. Since I was told this was standard in the industry for this way of charging, I called Santa Maria Tire spoke to Joe, Parkhouse Tire spoke to Renee, Daniels tire spoke to Jack all competitors and none of them did the double charging for labor, or extra charging for tire dismounting or remounting. Labor rates varied, some charge for fuel and some didn't. As a compromise I agreed to pay the labor costs plus the fuel costs and offered $10 for the three patches ( far more than retail cost) to settle the amount. Out of fairness in the past I have used their service at their location in Ventura without any issues or over charging for labor. read more

Found cracks in one of my 2.5 year old class c rv tires. Read reviews for places that service rvs somewhat near where I'm located. I was in the neighborhood one day so I dropped by and spoke to the gentleman behind the counter (so sorry I forgot ur name and your card isn't w me:( ). He was extremely helpful and told me that they don't usually have issues w my kind of tire and recommended that I stick w them. They checked all of my tires for cracks and moved the 2 new ones to the front. I also asked if they could fix my valve extenders so it was easier to remove my tpms valves to replace the batteries. They replaced them w new ones and are so much easier to take care of. They even removed them so I could replace the batteries while I was waiting and then put them back in for me. This place is amazing! I got off work to find my tire completely flat and had to change to my spare in the rain. In a panic, I looked for a tire shop somewhere close to my house that I could get it repaired at. These guys were kind and helpful on the phone and when I brought it in, they jumped right on it to get the job done! I was told the repair usually takes about 30 minutes, but they had it done in about 15! In the waiting room, I was greeted by a cute dog and friendly staff. When the job was all done and I went to the counter to pay, they told me it was no charge! They said they'd rather have me safe out on the road. All around great experience! Was struggling to find a good, local tire place that could handle truck tires for our 37' RV on a Freightliner chassis. While not quite local to us, we found Pinkys through an RV dealer -- and they were well worth the 25 min drive. In our case, we were facing a challenging situation where at times, two of the tires were losing air -- and to make a long story short, David at Pinkys helped us methodically "debug" the situation while keeping costs minimal or at no charge. I have nothing but nice things to say about Pinkys tire service. I bought some tractor tires from them a couple years ago and with tractors you don't put a lot of miles on the they had been on the tractor 2 farming seasons and I put around 100 hours on the tractor a year. I was using my tractor a few days ago and noticed a knot on the side of one of the front tires , I took a few photos of the tire went to Pinkys and showed them the photos and without hesitation the owner says bring the tires down and we will make it right .
