We were in our motorhome with a blown front tire. I had my four kids with me, and it was an incredibly dangerous and stressful situation with semi-trucks blowing past within inches of our rig. I called my insurance company first, and they told me there was no one who could change a tire on a motorhome on the side of the 101. I couldn't believe it--they completely left us stranded. Out of desperation, I called CR Mobile Auto Repair, and even though they were several miles away, I explained how urgent and dangerous our situation was. Chris didn't hesitate, he came right away. He put himself in danger working on the side of that busy highway to get me and my 4 kids safely back on the road. SEMI-TRUCKS BLOWING BY HIS BACK AND HE DIDN'T EVEN FLINCH. OOH-RAH! His professionalism, courage, and compassion went above and beyond anything I've ever experienced. He quite literally saved us from being in a potentially tragic situation. I have a horrible fear of putting air in my suv tires. In the past, I've experienced a tire blowing out while on the tire rack at my father's own mechanic shop. Way back in the 80's. I've never gotten over it. (Lol). He's retired and no longer with us. Anyway, long story even longer. (Lol) Every time I need some air in my tires, I suck it up and head over here. They smile and say, "Be right with you ma'am". I was here just a couple weeks ago because the wonderful lady at the Ojai Automotive Shop on Ojai 33, helped me with purchasing 2 taillight bulbs for my rear blinkers. I asked if she had anyone there to help me replace them, and that I had watched a YouTube video, but that I'm a bit hesitant to try. She kindly said no, but then smiled and laughed and told me to tell her husband, the Owner of Adamson's Towing, that she recommended me to go see him and maybe help to replace them. I gladly took her up on that offer. (Big smiles) As usual, the Owner (her husband) and team, smiled and said, "We'll be right with you ma'am". Always service with a smile. They didn't even flinch to not charge me. (Bigger smile) I forgot the tip jar this time. (Frown face) Noted. I have used them countless times through Triple AAA for locking keys in my car, to getting a flat tire on my E-bike (extremely heavy) to the Ojai bike shop, on Canada st, the one litterly around the corner from Jim & Robs. And a few many times when the car wouldn't start and needed the car towed back to my house or shop. I've always had a great experience with these gentleman and tow service. Very cordial and welcoming in and professional. My Tuneup was done great in the past as well. I highly recommend this business. Especially recommended to the mature ladies club that are in a pinch and may need assistance and are to afraid to ask. "No fear, Adamson's is here". Thank you Adamson's, I can't say it enough. I was camping outside of Ojai and found a screw in my tire. I reached out via Yelp and even though the shop was closed on Sunday, they let me know that they could help me first thing this morning (Monday). I called at 8 and let them know I was on my way and they got me in right away, patched up the tire, and got me on the road in short order. The technician even let me know he checked my brake pads while the wheel was off and everything looked good. The price was right and the service was amazing. read more
