Greg Stipek is the best optometrist, he takes his time, explains any issues in easy to understand terms and utilizes all of the latest equipment including a computer-based vision fitting system to position your prescription correctly in the frames. The staff are friendly and very helpful and they have all been working there for many years, a sign of a well run business. There is a nice selection of glasses including petite frames for women and they always seem to have a special where you only pay for the frames on a second pair, the lenses including transitions are free. read more

The doctors here are great. Very calming. Great at explaining what's going on. I never felt rushed. My issue is with the office itself. It is very difficult to get them on the phone. I had to call for several days before someone finally answered so I could make an appointment. I even left a voicemail that was never returned. When I needed to cancel an appointment, after calling several times throughout the day, I finally called 5 times over and over before someone finally answered the phone. Personally I hate calling a place so if they don't want people calling, that's fine. Just give the patients another alternative (online portal) to make and change appointments. read more

Front office secretary is extremely rude and condescending. Charged my husband 2 co-pays and didn't explain why. Our insurance pays for a pair of glasses every year. They never offered this to my husband. This secretary smirked when I explained this customer service was not extended. He aggressively tried to belittle my husband for not asking. NOT THAT ITS ANY OF THEIR BUISNESS, but my husband is a 100% disabled vereran. His service dog had just died and I wasn't home to help him. Not only were they so professional, and courteous from the time I called, but not once did I hear, " What insurance do you have" before they wanted to know what exactly I needed. As a provider myself I was super impressed. The office is professional, friendly and extremely competent. From the front offIce to the back office they work as a team. I have had problems with my vision, and they worked hard to establish an emergent visit, and thoroughly work me up that day without "upcharging" me as you know optometrists do. I wrote this review last November but somehow forgot to post it until today. :-( Up until today I thought all eye places were the same and now have realized otherwise. First, the vibe when you walk in is great. The office is nice and the staff is friendly. I got two text messages reminding me of the appointment, one yesterday and one today, which was very convenient. I could respond to the text message to confirm or reschedule. That was so much easier for me than a phone call and having to call back to confirm. I have been looking for glasses online for months and found some that I thought were nice. However, when I walked into this office I saw about 6 or 8 pairs right off the bat that looked way nicer than anything I had seen online. The glasses were classy and stylish but not too trendy. The prices were higher than ones that I saw online but the glasses were so much nicer, I didn't care that much. After all, if you're like me, you keep your glasses for good long while. Dr. Stipek was very helpful and knowledgeable. I really understood for the first time what I was seeing when he showed me the photos of my eyes. He explained things very clearly and how certain indicators related to other visual markers that he observed. Overall, I was very impressed and would highly recommend this office. When I was leaving I asked if they had a glasses case that they could give me because I lost mine last week. They gave me the cutest green daisy case! Yes, it's a little thing, but it all adds up to the total experience and I left feeling very happy. read more

I can actually understand how they couldn't provide an exact price to a new patient. That would be similar to going to a new PCP and asking what the exact charges will be not knowing what type, if any, follow-up lab work, x-rays, etc would be needed until after being seen for any health issues; no different for your eyes. After seeing Dr Hilliard at this facility for 4 years, I had a very bad experience today. After saying who I was and what time my appointment was, one of the women asked if I had glasses that I brought that needed adjusting or screws checked and I said yes. She said do you want to give those to me now. I said, no, I think that will have to be done after my appointment. Then a different woman asked me how many pair of glasses I had with me and I said, I think I have 3 or so. Then she said that she needed to see them to make sure the numbers matched up with the numbers. I didn't understand what she was saying at all and let her know that. Long story short, she said that she had to verify the numbers for the Dr, and she was being very aggressive about getting these numbers, whatever they were. I have never gone through this before. This person was being aggressive and insistent on me handing over the glasses I had with me. Even following me in pursuit. I let her know that her aggression was making me feel uncomfortable. She said ok and mentioned a persons name that would check my vision and then the Dr would see me and she started walking towards the exam area. I said excuse me, are you the Dr? She said yes. I was floored! Then she went back to the numbers, and I said again I was not understanding what she was trying to do considering my visits and RX's and glasses purchased are a matter of record. I asked her to stop her aggression towards me. She said she had to match everything and she was not feeling comfortable seeing me and I would have to reschedule. Then the stylist, Mila joined in, which was a bit much. I have seen her many times as well and never a problem. The Dr was Cydney Froehlich, who was new to me, as I had seen Dr Hilliard in the past. I have never had such a bad experience at any Optometrist before. Not to mention the inconvenience of waiting for my appointment due to availability and then scheduling to work within the parameters of my insurance, which most likely now will be a problem for me. Dr Froehlich and Mila both made a point of saying to me that "she's a Dr." I'm not sure what their point was, except that she obviously wanted me to know that she felt above me. Very strange and left me feeling demeaned, and confused. I do not recommend Pinnacle Peak Eye Care after this experience. I am sorely disappointed in the Dr and staff. They are not loyal to clients. Save yourself the headache. read more

I've worn glasses my entire life and gone to many eye doctors over the years. Just yesterday I met with Dr. Stipek and had a thorough eye exam and I was truly impressed. The doctor's staff was professional and accommodating. Dr. Stipek was punctual, highly professional and took all the time necessary to discuss my medical history and concerns. He performed the eye examination complete with pupil dilation and tests for glaucoma. The equipment in his office is state of the art and several other tests were also done to insure my eyes were in good health. My particular eye prescription requires a small amount of prism correction and Dr. Stipek caught that need immediately!
