A few minutes later, she called and said she COMPLETELY FORGOT about our appointment and that she would be late. She did say someone would open the doors for us to begin looking at arrangements. We agreed to wait since she said the doors would be opened and that she would be 10 minutes. We got out of the car and waited an additional 10 minutes and NO ONE OPENED THE DOORS. This was wholly unacceptable and unprofessional. We are mourning and she completely "forgot". Stay away from this irresponsible woman and business!!! UPDATE: After we left after no one opened the doors, Santa had the nerve to text and say we were not there when her employee arrived (cause no one was even in the building!!) to open the doors. So this is literally some people who sell flowers out of a van right off the 805 freeway if you take the palm or 47th street exit. This van has been showing up here for years and years as long as I can remember, I can definitely say over 10 years. They're here at this spot everyday usually from early in the morning (I'm gonna say 7ish or earlier) til about when the sun starts to set. Sometimes if it's raining bad I won't see them there or they'll close early. I use to come here since they had $5 bouquets, which last time my friend went they still did. Good price for the budget friendly shopper. Very convenient for me since it's near the freeway entrance too. I also once got a cute basket of roses with assorted flowers for $15 too. I remember when I was staring at a basket a couple of the roses had that old look on the petals, without even asking the lady said she'll change the roses for me. I thought that was nice. Not knowing the area, I ordered through FTD a week prior. I ordered a large bouquet for more than $100. Throughout the day as we came and went from the hotel, I asked the staff if there had been any deliveries. Nothing showed up. Late at night I called FTD and they don't answer on Valentine's Day. I had to sheepishly explain to my loved one that I had ordered flowers and they did not arrive...How romantic. On Feb 15th, we happened to be in the lobby and a delivery man was trying to sneak in and drop off a pathetic looking pile of about 10 wilting flowers thrown in a vase. I immediately recognized it as a very sub-par version of what I had ordered. I approached the delivery man and looked at the "bouquet". The bulbs on two flowers were slumped over and just hanging on. The others all had some browning. Not to mention, it was a day late. Also, it looked like a 5 year old put the arrangement together. I had ordered the deluxe version, which was supposed to include more flowers, but this clearly wasn't what they were trying to give me. I told the delivery man this was an insult and refused delivery. I looked at the delivery slip and there was the perpetrator: "Bonita Flowers". I looked at the delivery van and saw several other flowers, which I assume were also late, since Feb 15th isn't exactly a popular day for flowers. I assume they were as pathetic looking as the ones they tried to pass off on me. I tried calling Bonita that day and the following day, but they don't pick up their phones. After a long wait and awful customer service from FTD (I spent over 2 hours on the phone), I was issued a full refund a week later. Take this as a warning- If you love somebody and want to send them flowers, do not use Bonita Flowers.
