I called to get a quote on my basement I thought had settled. I was freaking out. Thankfully Matt came out and put my concern to rest but was very thorough in his inspection. I setup a free consultation with Pinnacle to assess foundation wall cracks and an uneven basement slab. Tony came out and walked through my house with me to look at everything. He explained in depth everything that we could see, and all the evidence that could have been present but wasn't. He concluded that we did not need their structural services. He did recommend engineers and concrete contractors to have a formal assessment done for peace of mind and to have a garage slab re-poured (due to normal settling). I really appreciated the honesty and transparency. Pinnacle was recommended to me by a coworker, and I am very glad I went with them. Since I got free time, knowledge, and referrals, I would say the value was incredible. I noticed there were many negative reviews here, but they seem old and for other folks. They started a foundation repair on my home SIX MONTHS AGO, and have never finished (giant hole along half my existing foundation), left the gas meter hanging in mid air unsupported, haven't pulled a permit to have any gas plumbing work done, and are apparently just waiting for me to start forking over wads of $$$ for them to complete the job - while getting the permit and coordinating them, the city building department and Xcel!! Our home lot sits on the downhill grade of our block, and so it gets the runoff from our neighbors. The house is 8 years old, and I had some concerns about the foundation. Matt came out and walked the property with me, and I pointed out some of the things I was concerned about. He checked everything out, and did some measurements on the basement pad. I was happy to hear that everything was normal, and there wasn't anything we needed to do because the foundation and pad were in good shape. I appreciate that Pinnacle is an honest company, and it has given us peace of mind. I would recommend them for any foundation concerns, because they will level set what is necessary, versus overselling something that isn't needed. read more

My main comment would be, get a second opinion. The VP of Sales/Marketing came over at the request of a buyer for our home. This was after noticing a few drywall cracks (in a 20 year old home). After his assessment, we were "advised" that it would be nearly $14,000 to have a pier(s) installed while tearing up the hardwood floors and the stairs as well (this is on a concrete slab with NO cracks). He also told us that "houses don't settle". After his visit (and at the buyers insistence) I contacted a non-biased certified & licensed structural engineer to come give us his assessment. It was $850 but he confirmed what we knew to be the case, the drywall was just common cracking due to settling. He advised us that there is NO structural damage and the minor cracking was simply "cosmetic". I understand it was a free estimate, but you get what you pay for. (and almost pay for what you don't need) Beware. read more

We live in a home in Denver that is over 100 years old and had to have the foundation in our backyard redone. Each step of the project was laid out and planned. The workers came every day rain or shine. They were great to work with and did exactly what we needed them to to get our foundation secure again. They cleaned up after themselves and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy with our final product. Highly recommend! I called pinnacle with concerns about my foundation. They were able to set me up immediately with an appointment at no cost. Rob came out and assessed the issues and was very upfront about the severity. He told me that there was no issue and everything was functioning as it was designed to. He did offer to write up a quote in case I was interested in re-pouring the entire slab but that it was not necessary. It's rare to find a company that doesn't try to upsell you on something that you don't need. Although I didn't get any work done, the values of this company speak volumes and I greatly appreciate the honesty and integrity!! read more

I would really give zero stars if I could. I had Steel Rhino home inspectors come out and inspect a home I wanted to purchase. He found some structural issues and immediately called Pinnacle to come out and see what they thought as I didn't want to buy a house with structural issues. "Marshall" from Pinnacle did his inspection and had recommendations about how to fix the issues. The seller of the house had his own structural engineer come out and his recommendations were completely different. Here is where the problem lies. Marshall didn't bother to give us anything at all in writing to give the seller about his findings and recommendations. My real estate agent has called him NUMEROUS times and he either doesn't return her calls or he says he will get us something in writing and he never does. So, I basically lost this house and now I'm out $500 for the home inspection fee too. Come to find out that Marshall is just a structural technician and not an engineer. I am PISSED off. DO NOT use this company if you need something done in a timely manner. They are unprofessional. No wonder they only have one review on here. read more

Met with Mark for a free structural inspection on a townhouse I was under contract on. Good news was there was no structural issues to worry about. Mark was very knowledgable and friendly and explained to me what he was looking at and what to look for. He was not just on time but early and did an excellent job accessing the place. He even provided advice on how to adjust the door to fit the frame. Other places I spoke with were charging me $300-400 just to come out because they were certified Structural Engineers, Pinnacle has Structural Specialists that are just as knowledgeable and they have 3rd party Engineers they work with. Pinnacle saved me a lot of money! If they are this good for a free estimate, I can't imagine how great their actual work is. read more

This review is for the pre-planning process. They have not yet done any work with our foundation or structural work. I had Ken to my home to take a look at some cracking and settling of molding and flooring in the house. He suspected that several beams had settled and offered several alternatives. He took the time to explain his thoughts and recommendations. The reason I give him a 5 star review is that he did not push me into pricey repairs, recognized his own limitations and the need for an engineers report, gave me a rough idea of costs and job timeframe, and gave me an honest recommendation for close monitoring only followed by an engineers report in the spring once the soil changes. I appreciate his honesty and integrity. If the work is subsequently required, I will be sure to use their services. read more

Michael came out to our house today to investigate some cracking we have in our brick home. This company is honest and will recommend repairs unless it is truly needed. They use a third party engineer so there is no room for fraudulent and unnecessary repairs. We do have cracking in our brick but it is not at the point that it is in need of repair in its current condition. On top of their integrity as a company, Michael was awesome! Before I bought my house, I had it inspected by them. First they say everything is alright, and take your money.The crack has not changed at all, got another opinion by another company and they said it's not just epoxy and its done. I called pinnacle, they didn't answer until i wrote on their review. Mike Lambardo said that he won't come check it out again, since it was only his opinion. I have a contract with this company to build a four foot foundational wall under my addition. They laid an 18" footer and now are trying to tell me that it might work, even though they explained exactly why it HAD to be a four-foot foundational wall right up until they made the "mistake". They also use the same engineers all of the time, and apparently they are so "close" that the engineers accept pictures of the final job instead of actually physically performing the final inspection. And that's just the worst of the bad. Good luck getting anyone to call you back if you have a problem, too. And, forget any timeline they give you. I am on day 11 of a 2-day job. Super frustrated. I always received prompt responses to my many questions throughout the process, and I always felt like both were ready and willing to take their time to respond to me. Great experience and great customer service I had about $14k of foundation work done by Pinnacle. When Mike showed up for the initial appointment, he walked me around my house and showed me a number of things I could do to help improve the current situation and prevent future issues. He took great care in understanding what was needed to fix the issue, and didn't give me a BS 'if you sign today, you'll save 10%' line. He just gave me a competitive price and allowed me to do my due diligence. He endured all my follow up questions and emails and responded quickly. His team did a great job. They were professional, efficient and extremely courteous. Their goal was to leave their work space in better condition when they arrived, and I was very pleased with the condition of the property at the end of the job. I experienced great customer service all the way through the project. Even months later, when I notified Mike that the wrong size window well had been installed, he was back at my property within a week. He confirmed the wrong one was installed and told me he would have it rectified immediately. Within a few days, his crew was back out to install the correct window well. Maybe it was the mess they left all over my yard. Maybe it was the bait and switch from estimate to actual. Maybe it was because they lied about the specifics of the job and we caught them. Maybe it was because they thought that since my wife was a female that they could BS their way through trying to rip us off while I was at work and she was home with our kids. Maybe it was the completely unprofessional approach and condescending arrogance that Mike, the "owner of the company", demonstrated when confronted about it. Or, maybe it was the fact that this is simply a shitty operation and we would have been wise to pick someone else for the job. Whatever the reason, hire this company and decide for yourself. We learned our lesson, I just feel sorry for the poor people who have to work for a crook like this guy. The positive reviews on here are fake, created by employees, friends of Mike or just Mike himself. There's no way a guy like this can run an operation in this manner and generate positive results, no way. Pay the marginal extra and hire a good company that's run by professionals. read more

My experience with Pinnacle Structural...(terrible) Meeting with Mike was a pleasure. He was friendly, and I assumed that he knows his business rather well. I had over $23k worth of work for him to complete: 1) Foundation work at our primary residence 2) Repairing a caved in wall for a crawl space at our rental property 3) Installing 3 egress windows for 3 different properties I informed him of the issues I had encountered with a former egress company (job getting shutdown for no permits, and taking over 12 weeks to complete the job, and how there was a problem with communication with the job). Because of these issues, he assured me a number of things: "Anything that is not completed properly, we will fix": a. Sprinkler systems that get buried; b. Proper clean-up of the property; c. Does not want customers will not be involved with the process, to alleviate stress; d. Egress windows will take 3 days at most; I received a call from one of my tenants who informed me that there were men working (egress work), and entering the dwelling (never notified of this start time, from Mike, the owner). She asked them to NOT go through the house, as they had a side door for access (yet they kept on walking through the property as she was getting ready for work). I called Mike to go over the issue, and informed him that this is not only unprofessional, but a HUGE liability for my renter. He agreed, and informed me that he spoke with them, and that would not happen again. I also informed him of a miscommunication with the start dates that we had gone over the day before. Long story short, the lack of communication was on their offices end, which was partially blamed on me (though I am not sure how much more explicit I can get other than requesting specific dates and times for the jobs). Mike, passive/aggressively informed me that "it was my (his) fault because a contract was never signed for the job(s)" and that he would make sure, in the future, that this would not happen again. Day two also brought an interesting situation. As I went to check on the crawl space for the other property, the "foreman" informed me that the hole they had allotted for was too small, and asked me if it "is okay if we expand the hole closer to the house".........whaaaaaaaaaaa?!?!?!?!? The company that sent an engineer out to the property for assessment wants to change a plan, and they are asking me for my permission?!?!?!?!?!?!? How the F$%k would I know? That is what I paid A LOT of money for an engineer for. I informed the "foreman" to call Mike for an answer, as I am not an engineer, and do not want the liability of digging closer to the house, with the possibility of compromising the structure of the dwelling (please see letter "c" stated above, as this issue was a contradiction of that). After a meeting with Mike, again, I informed him that I needed better communication moving forward, and reiterated my issues with egress windows (prior install debacle with another company), and that poor communication is something I feel is unprofessional. He agreed. As the job went on daily, I always offered water for the workers, and checked in periodically to see the process for myself. I started to notice very unprofessional tendencies from the workers. One morning, I was in my kitchen. To get my attention, they threw something at my window, instead of walking 6 ft to the door, knocking, and talking to me. I also noticed that one of the workers had a cold, and watched him drop a used snot rag on the ground. I figured this was a mistake, but he walked passed it uncountable amount of times. I ended up picking it up hours later. At the end of the job, my back yard was littered with soiled tissues, and cigarette butts (I live in a non-cigarette-smoking house), empty pop bottles and even a broke shovel they left behind (see letter "b" above. Another contradiction). They did come back to clean, but did not pick up all of the cigarette butts, left a pop bottle a broken shovel and soiled tissues on the property. I took care of cleaning up their mess. Unprofessional. I later received an invoice when the job was "complete". Unfortunately, my carpet that was ripped up from the basement from interior digging, was not put back properly. I did inform Mike about this, and he did rectify the issue, as I informed him that I would love to pay for the job once the carpet was complete. I also informed him that the sprinkler heads on the side of my property were buried from the job. He informed me that his company does not cover sprinkler issues, (yet he seemed to have the issues fixed for others, pointed out in reviews on other sites) even if they were his companies fault (see letter "a". This was just a lie, either way, at some point). The sprinkler system has been completely destroyed. My sprinkler contractor seemed to use the term "malicious intent" when describing the destroyed system.LAME! read more

If I could give zero stars to this company I could. They are absolute crooks. In the process of selling my home they were given an existing inspection report from an engineer. They ignored the report and did extensive work on my home. It actually needed minimal work done. The extensive work that was done was done incorrectly. They had to redo the work and rip up my house again. They stigmatized my house making it hard to sell. I ended up having to sell it at a reduced cost. I talked to lots of other people that were cheated and ripped off by these guys. In total they cost me an excess of 60K. I now am in debt that amount. They should not be allowed to run a business! read more

I was not happy with the work done by Pinnacle. First they promised they could put my foundation back in place and they could put a drain along the wall. Well once work started the drain they estimated was going to cost me an extra 3,000 and the wall couldn't be put back, they just said it wouldn't move any more. Then as they were filling in the dirt we asked them specifically to mark the sprinkler heads so I could find them come spring. Well they didn't do this either, so now I'm spending hours digging for sprinkler heads and on top of that I have followed the pipping and have found missing sprinkler heads!! read more

Rude, unprofessional, rip-off artists. They called me to do a rush welding job for them to get them out of a fix. I didn't know them, but I generally trust people, and I did the job as quickly and well as I could. They sent an employee to pick up the welded items: he didn't have the money to pay. I spoke to the boss on the phone, he said send him an invoice. I did, and never heard another word from them. No payment, no answers to phone calls, emails, or letter sent by U.S. Mail. What a rotten outfit! I wondered why an outfit in Greenwood Village called a welder in Boulder. I bet it's because no welder in Denver who knows them will work for them again! read more

Horrible customer service. The work that these jackasses completed last year is under warranty and they are supposed to come by yearly to make sure there are no additional structural damage and to make necessary adjustments. I called to schedule an appointment and was scheduled on a Friday 8/14/17. They called me on Friday 8/14/17 after I had already took off from work to cancel the appointment and reschedule. I was a little irritated but I rescheduled for 8/23/17. I took off again and waited, and waited and no one showed up or called so I called them. They didn't even have me on the schedule. They are so unprofessional and the office manager Tine had the nerve to get upset with me because I called her out on the fact that they dropped the ball twice and then she wanted to give me excuses for it. The only reason I'm dealing with them is because this work is under warranty and it's their responsibility to check their work. They will be to report them to the BBB because this is unacceptable. If you want to save yourself the trouble, don't use them for any structural repairs. They were fine as long as they were taking my money for the repairs which by the way was over $10,000 for cracks in the crawl space. But when it comes time to honor their warranty, they can't seem to make those commitments. read more
