It's dangerous that this spot is within walking distance to where I live. Their pizza is great! If you're a fan of NY style with the thin crust, this is your spot. They have all kinds of pizza on their menu you can't get anywhere else in the Denver area. Eggplant parm was super flavorful and delicious, but the cut of the eggplant itself was not was I was used to- it's huge! A thick slice of it. Highly recommend the tiramisu and the chocolate mousse, you can't go wrong with either! We have plenty of Italian restaurants serving Peroni drought in Denver but hard to find in Italy. The small salad was packed with two different types of olives, generous amount of feta. Very refreshing for a hot day! Must repeat for next time. Shrimp fettuccine was also delicious. Huge shrimps too. Also a repeat for Caprese salad. Clean Ambiance, good food, moderate service. The food was really tasty. The calzone was really good, it felt like the best value at the table and was a table favorite for us. The meatballs were well seasoned and juicy, the lasagna was robust and full of flavor. The chicken felt a little soggy and underwhelming, but had good flavor. The server was VERY attentive up front. But after we had gotten our order in, we sat with empty glasses for about 10 minutes without seeing them again. From order in to food on table was about 35 minutes. To be fair, it was a busy night, but it's not a large place. Time wise, everything felt slightly slower than I would have expected. In general, it was a good experience. I would go back again for the calzone alone. It was really good. However, nothing at the table was bad, and we all walked away satisfied. What's amazing about this place? Uhhhhh Everything! We love this place! The staff is super friendly and Lindsay is our favorite! Makes you feel like you are in her home being served as her guest! Sometimes we just come here just to see her! Ownership is new and they are doing a fantastic job with the menu and wine selection. We always get the Calamari...it's crispy and an amazing appetizer before dinner! Food is always consistent and the open restaurant to the kitchen is a nice feature. Stumbled upon this place on accident a week ago and I'm already back for more. EVERYTHING is made in house, pasta from scratch was made right in front of us last time. The bread and pizza dough is also clearly made here in house. The wine selection is fantastic and the service was outstanding both times. We had Chris as our server this time and he was terrific. He was clearly running the whole restaurant himself, serving and bartending, during a busy Saturday lunch rush, and he did so with a smile on his face. Fabulous server. I had the special, linguini pomodoro, and it was delicious! We also had the calamari last time and even my four yr old loved that! My mom had the ravioli de zucca which was absolutely decadent. My husband and I love Pino's and have been many times with family and friends or for a date night. Tonight we ordered takeout, which we have often done as well. My husband ordered carbonara which is one of his favorites. It's horrible. It's dry and the pasta is stuck together. There is little flavor. It tastes like leftovers from the day before. We are shocked since we have had many wonderful dinners here before, both as takeout and inside the restaurant. Such a bummer to spend $20 on one entree and be so disappointed. What's going on here? Tried to go for happy hour at 4:30 with my very elderly 88 year old mom. With her walker, it took u 10 minutes to sit down--not an easy process. Then the manager told us we could only order from the happy hour menu it in the bar which had high seats that there's no way my mom could climb into. The restaurant space was empty. The food was good. Chicken Parm with spaghetti. I ate my whole meal without water as the sever ( only one) had three tables and never checked on me during the meal. I asked for bread and was charged $1 for each piece of bread. Just to be clear I came at 1 pm for lunch and was surprised to find no lunch specials. Pino's has been a go to for almost five years now! Food is always amazing, dine in or takeout. Can't beat their pizza.

It was hit or miss. Started out a bit rough. Firstly, they have got to do something about their water. I don't ever complain about Colorado water, but dang, this stuff was a bit dank! We didn't drink our waters, and ordered iced tea instead (which was dumb on our part, since they use their water to brew the tea). We thought the tea would mask the taste. Nope! Just skip anything to do with their tap water! Gosh I'm really on a tangent about water. Moving on to our appetizer. We had calamari which was unfortunately very rubbery. The breading was nice. It was crispy and not burnt, and the marinara was also simple and tasty. The bonus was some fried zucchini strips, but I would skip this app. Now to the good stuff! I got the burrata pizza with prosciutto and arugula. It was very good! The pizza crust is delicious! Nice and crispy, excellent chew, and airy bubbles. Perfect crust in my opinion. I was sad that the burrata wasn't a bit more creamy and sumptuous. It just tasted like plain mozz and no stracciatella. My son had the pappardelle con ragu and it was incredible. Best dish on the table. My daughter got fettuccine Alfredo and it was standard creamy cheesy chicken and noodles. Nothing outstanding, but it was good. Chicken was a tad over cooked. My husband got the seafood chioppino which threw me for a loop when we saw that it was over linguine--maybe we missed that part of the entree description, because we were expecting the traditional stew with maybe some crostini on the side. It was just okay. Sauce was mediocre and once again, squid was way over cooked and rubbery. Finally, for dessert we ordered some cannolis, and while I am not a big fan of cannolis, these were arguably the best I have had. They were made to order and it showed in how crispy the shells were. So many places make them ahead of time and the texture suffers. This cannoli was perfect. It still had that sort of grittiness from the ricotta (which is what I don't like about them) but way smoother than most and the flavor was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. When it came to service, ALL of the staff we encountered were professional, polite, friendly, helpful, and seemed to sincerely enjoy their job. That alone is worth another visit. We are happy to find a new Italian joint, and while some items really suffered, several of them sang and we'll be back to try some more menu items! read more
