This place looks like a whole in the wall, and it is! You must have to be a local to appreciate the food. There were 4 ppl dining in, and we were coming with 9 people. It's small inside, but they made it work. We had the man of the hour (EJ Wilson) with us and the first black mayor (female don't know her name) of Lawrenceville, VA, in attendance. So we came with the party, I guess...so you know it got packed quickly... (My nephew - EJ's High School Jersey Retirement) Pizza wasn't bad per the others. Mom had Chicken Philly, and I didn't think one could go wrong here, but... appeared slightly dry! Those pineapple were chunks straight out the can put on top of the pizza, and my son was not happy. I ordered the fried calamari.....it's thick ring made as if it was onion rings! Yup, hard pass for me; however, babe and mom ate them. French fries were slightly greasy. My shrimp Alfredo was soup...very little flavor. I ate the shrimp and garlic bread (sub roll smashed or flattened with butter garlic and parsley for decorative touch) crunchy but salty. Our waitress was hands down the best! She was the mayor's daughter also.....how sweet! Now, let's get into this service (more of an in-house clean your mess up and don't let it spill to your guest) Ashley/Amber can't recall her name, was amazing even with recommendations, and handled her table(s) like a champ. The other workers stood around. There were communication breakdowns in the dining hall that should not have happened in front of guests. One waitress gave extra tables to our waitress, when deciding what tables, the lady snapped and was like them and them while pointing, the tossed her hands up saying pick whatever you want the flung her hair and walked off. It's unprofessional and rather rude behavior. My recommendations for moving forward are a table system and assignment to keep business fair and well managed amongst the staff. As always, we pay for excellent service, and tipped our waitress well she gave excellent service under pressure with no sweat, even when the manager or owner came out being snippy to her unjustly, yes we could over hear this and see it. We usually stop in Emporia when out this way, but today we decided to go an extra 15 miles to check this place out. It's located right in the middle of town (parking is on the street) and not too bad a hop off 58. The place is dated, but clean. We went with the usual, extra cheese pizza and salads. The side salads were a good size, and came with croutons, sliced Roma tomatoes, cucumbers and red onion. The lettuce was a little past it's peak (looked like a bag salad mix you get at the store). It wasn't wilted yet, just headed in that direction. The dressings were good - mine was a nice and creamy with chunks of blue cheese and Hubby is always thrilled when we find a place that serves French. The pizza was good, not great. I would have liked to have seen a crisper crust (maybe another couple of minutes in the oven), but the sauce was tasty and there was plenty of extra cheese. The food was overall pretty average for a local pizza place. So why the four stars and not three? Giving an extra star for the fast and friendly service. Felicia was absolutely amazing! Super nice and attentive without being intrusive. We'd definitely eat here again and maybe try the cheesesteaks that everyone was raving about. read more

Very rude. We came in to order to go but ended up sitting down to eat. Both women that had ownership in the company were very rude. We asked the waitress for a water and the lady that owned the place came up to us and said you're staying now? We're very busy, you wanted a water? The younger girl that had a stake gave us a funny look when we wanted to stay. The pizza wasn't great: a thin crust cheese pizza. We ate it all in one night and still came home hungry the same night.. Pizza Hut for the win! read more

We came here for dinner while traveling. The restaurant is definitely a local spot... it seemed like just about everyone there besides us were well-acquainted with the place. The waitress was very friendly: after she noticed that we weren't from the area, she warmly welcomed us and really tried to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The interior was very worn-feeling. The food was pretty mediocre. The restaurant serves both pizzas and classic Italian American dishes. We started with the house salad, which was what you'd expect at a pizzeria: mozzarella cheese, Italian dressing, iceberg lettuce, red onions, cucumber, and tomatoes (which were the highlight of the salad... they were nice and ripe). For an entree, I had the lasagna, which was barely passable. It could have used more ricotta cheese and the bolognese sauce was way too sweet. My companions tried the eggplant parmesan, which they didn't care for (the breading was very heavy), and the pasta primavera, which they found a bit too creamy, but tasty enough. It got the job done and the people were all very friendly, but I would avoid going back. read more

Been going to Pino's forever and it's one establishment that seems to survive in small Lawrenceville. Pizza is always a favorite and the baked spaghetti is yummy. Staff is always friendly. The only downfall is parking which is limited on the street. read more

Pinos has amazing pizza. The cheesesteaks are also good. It gets really busy during lunch. I get takeout a lot, and suggest check takeout before you go and make sure order is all there and correct especially when you order and they are really busy. But other than that the place is great and thank goodness Bc it is about the only place to eat in town. read more

I absolutely love Pino's in Lawrenceville!! The white pizza, meat lovers pizza with meatballs, and cheesesteaks are my favorite things on the menu. The funnel cakes are the perfect dessert. Had the Philly cheese steak on advice of waitress - it was THE BOMB! On a previous visit I had spaghetti with meat sauce, that was good too. I asked for half unsweetened and half sweet tea with lemon and received super sweet tea with no lemon. read more

I disagree with the review below, simply on the grounds that Pino's just isn't the place to go for anything other than pizza. We stopped in while traveling, just on a whim (and also because they were the only business in Lawrenceville that was open on a Sunday). The service was fantastic. Like the other reviewer, our server (Sasha) could tell we were not from there and was very friendly and welcoming. Now, I don't know if it was because we were especially hungry from a long trip or what, but our pizzas were fantastic. Exactly what you'd expect from a "joint". Nice and thin, perfect crust, good sauce/cheese ratio, and sliced sausage (my preference). The price was also perfect - the menu said a small was 12" but it seemed closer to 14" and, with one topping and a drink, was less than ten bucks. I took the leftovers with me and reheated them when I got home and it didn't quite hold up, but reheated pizza rarely does. I honestly can't say when I would ever find myself in Lawrenceville again but, were it to happen, I'd definitely stop in. read more

I ordered a grilled chicken salad today from here and when I get my salad my chicken was very cold to the point that I thought it wasn't cook like it had came right out of the fridge so I call back to let them know and I was told that it had to be okay by the manger to remake food so ok let me talk to manger? Well he's not in I can't find him and if I put in another order for your salad you're gonna have to pay again... like hell I will... ok mam just bring it bk went bk there manger is there and begins to explain to me that the chicken comes right off the grill each time and place on the salad and I said to him ok I understand that but this time is very cold as if it came out of a fridge this is not my first time ordering this the chicken is usually warm but this isn't and practically beg him to open it and touch the chicken for him self but he never did in front of me but continued to tell me that each time the chicken comes off the grill and put on the salad every time as if I was lying and like I have time and gas to waste for food that u want even open to be proven wrong and he said it so many times like I was interviewing for the job and then went to tell me I must be a celebrity because I made a special order salad they had to chop everything up and then while making my food came to the front twice where I was being sarcastic saying see "hot chicken,hot chicken " and I really didn't appreciate that because now you're playing with my food and On top of that they didn't even have the decency to make the whole thing fresh so that was money wasted...So please don't tell this place that you're food is not right they don't like to have to make food over and whatever they can use off your old plate they are gonna to use it.... read more
