Dear reader, The Brew House in Blackstone was exactly what I needed on a rainy evening: somewhere warm, casual, and welcoming for a bite and a drink. The historic Main Street setting gives the place plenty of character, while inside it has the comfortable feel of a proper neighbourhood pub, complete with lots of TVs if there is a game on. I ordered the cheese curds, which made for a very satisfying bar snack, and an Orange Crush that was refreshing and nicely made. The prices were also great, which is always a welcome discovery these days. What really made the visit, though, was how nice everyone was. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed and easygoing. A charming little rainy-night refuge with good drinks, solid bar food, fair prices, and plenty of local character. I would happily stop in again. read more

What a hidden gem! We came across The Brew House on a Sunday evening so it wasn't super busy. There is plenty of seating and the menu has some amazing options that I'll definitely be back for. Since they were known for their burgers, we had to try them for our first visit. SO GOOD! The atmosphere is a mix of industrial/tavern. F O O D I got the Hawaii 5-0 Burger as a rice bowl with a side of tator tots. My coworker got the Southwest Bowl. And we share the Garlic Butter Brussels. Overall all of the food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious!! S E R V I C E Our server was so spunky and had a great sense of humor! The first time I went here with family visiting, the staff were clearly under some weird stress. We got there at 8, when the kitchen closed at 9pm. The waitress was stressing out and rudely told us that they were sold out of nearly everything on the menu due to shipping problems. But when she came back to the table she apologized...so we left (since most of the good stuff was unavailable). But after returning today staff were super friendly. Service was prompt (the place was dead on a Thursday morning) but the beer was good and seared tuna was too. The place was clean and well-decorated. I would gladly return! read more

Stopped in for a late lunch after a long day of furniture shopping. Pros: a big menu with lots of options for every dietary restriction. Every burger can be made with beef, chicken, Beyond meat and with a bun, arugula, rice. Live that there is something for everyone. They were also very accommodating in making a sandwich into a wrap. The boardwalk fries were really delicious and I wish we would have tried one of the many seasonings. Service was great. Location great. Cons: some of the burgers have a lot going on and it seemed like too much sauce (bbq sauce and a house sauce) so you couldn't really taste the actual burger. Respectable pub. IMOH a tad expensive for the location. Just left court and paid a hefty d@mn near $900 fine so a little pissed at myself for giving Virginia any more of my money buttttt it wasn't this pub's fault. The server was friendly and efficient. The decor definitely outshined the quality of the food. Wasn't giving pub but that's a genuine compliment, not a dig. The arcade machines and pool table are a big hint that this place is lit on the weekends. The fried pickles were good. As well as the Rowdy Rueben burger and the Malibu Summer cocktail but the lemon pepper wings were salty and I'm sure for the price of our entrees, they could have spared a few more fries! In Blackstone for a training event, and this place was highly recommended by our instructor. I ordered delivery two nights in a row as the food quality was excellent and the menu offered a large selection. I think the burgers are the selling point. But I had a chicken burger and a gyro as well and both were excellent, too! Best part is they deliver with DoorDash. Only minor complaint is they did not read the special instructions as part of the DoorDash order (I requested no feta, but still got feta in my gyro.) but overall very happy. read more

Me and a group of 8 friends just had dinner her....the kitchen messed up multiple people's orders, then refused to fix them. One of use found a small toothpick thing in her fries, And they charged one of us for something they couldn't eat because of dietary concerns. The manager Jackie blamed the waitress, even though it was the kitchen that ran out of supplies and changed the food (on this and another order). And then the manager claimed that she has bosses to report to and could only offer a 5% discount even though the food was wrong. DO NOT GO HERE read more

I then called over the waiter to show her. She offered me a new salad or a different side, which I declined. I then had to ask for the manager. I've come alone both times, once a busy night and once during the day, and received great service and the food is pretty decent. It's the only bar in this area, and all of the food in this area sucks, it lacks flavor and creativity and draws more to an old crowd, so the Brew house makes up for all the crap food options in this small town read more

I live in Blackstone. I've eaten at the Blackstone Brewhouse many time. The service, speed of service, and food quality is inconsistent. Sometimes it's a great experience; sometimes dinner or lunch takes almost two hours. Most recently I left after watching my order of two hamburgers languish in the pickup window while waiting for fries and tater tots. For fifteen minutes the burgers were dressed and ready and waiting for their sides. On checkout my waitress assured me my food was almost ready, but after watching it sit under the heat lamps I wasn't interested in what they were selling. The place was adequately staffed in the front of house. There seemed to be only one cook in the back. The dishwasher was occasionally washing dishes and then hopping on this phone to do whatever. The manager would look at the tickets but didn't seem concerned that eight or more hamburger orders were backed up in the window waiting on sides. The place needs leadership. read more

We've lived in Blackstone for a couple years and used to go to this place quite often. Food is hit or miss at times so we just dealt with it. Went last night ordered a steak that was so tough I could not even chew it. Me and my wife both had one or two bites each and we're done. We complained about it with not much response from our server or who I assumed must've been the manager. Another server was attempting to say something and they cut her off. We went here with my in-laws and it was disastrous. My mom ordered a Namate bowl and my dad ordered a hamburger well-done. This was at lunch time. It took 2 hours to get out of there. The waitress kept disappearing and when the food finally showed up, the burger was cold and pink inside, and the Namaste bowl come out tepid to cold, and flavorless. We were only in Blackstone for training so we weren't familiar with the area. After making out way down the only Main Street in town we happen to find this out of place brew/coffee place. We decided to be optimistic and See what it had to offer. It's a little awkward when you walk in, but once you figure out that it's "seat yourself" it's not bad. Very large venue with tons of seating. The decor is fun and inviting. We had a party of six and it was easy to get a nice table. Drinks were inexpensive, but we didn't know they didn't sell liquor, not a big deal. Food was excellent. We weren't sure of the quality since there was such a large menu, but we were all very pleased with our meals. Our waitress was Amber and she was very pleasant and attentive.
