My friend and I ordered every type of lumpia they had to start and kare kare and sisig silog for mains. The lumpias were all good but the vegetable one was our favorite. Next, the mains came out and I was impressed with the portion! My dish, sisig silog was just $14 and was a massive full plate of meat and garlic rice with a nicely done fried egg. The kare kare was $16 but they gave 3 substantial oxtails which is generous. Honestly this food was so good. After many KC restaurant visits of mediocre or disappointing food, I could have cried tears of joy. The meat was perfectly seasoned, a nice balance of savory, acidity, and aromatics, and not too fatty or salty with some nice crisp/crunch from the pork belly skin. The garlic rice was perfect, not too oily or salty with good garlic flavor and complementary to the meat. Fried egg was crispy with runny yolk, the way it should be. The pineapple was a nice treat too, it was somehow so sweet? I tried my friend's kare kare and while I'm not a big fan of the dish itself, this is the best one I've had! And the oxtail itself was delicious - soft, moist, and flavorful. The only downside I can think of is that you might have to wait a while when it's busy since this is only run by a small family. Maybe try to be one of the first parties in the door. Go support them! Great food and great value. I certainly will be back whenever I can.

We were looking for some place to get dinner in walking distance and decided on trying Ting's as I've yet to try Filipino in the KC metro. I knew from previously walking through the farmer's market on the weekends, that this would be a casual setting. I'm familiar with Filipino food so I was excited to try this spot. However, the whole set up felt odd. There's a touch screen up front for you to place your order and pay, while the cook is behind the glass cooking up orders. You have no one at the counter to speak to or ask any questions. Mind you, I was not expecting a fine dining situation, but once the food was ready and it came out on a paper plate, something in you sinks. You expect that sort of presentation from a BBQ joint. I don't expect the sole cook to have the ability to also do front of house tasks, but there was no signage indicating you're to retrieve your own plastic ware. Also, no napkins anywhere, and the dude was clearly trying to clean up and get outta there, so I didn't bother asking for any. As for the food, it was fine. Nothing to write home about. I got the chicken adobo since it's something I've had at friend's homes before, but this lacked some salt & omph. I didn't bother trying my partner's pancit. Although, he gave me a bite of shrimp that tasted over cooked. This might be better as a lunch option when things are more lively on the weekends. ___ Heads up: while their hours say they're open until 7pm, they stop taking orders around 6pm... so if you're a Rivermarket local looking for dinner options, this may not be it.

Ordered the chicken and pork skewers. Shared the noodle dish and one beef empanada. Everything was delicious. Very well cooked. A little on the smaller side, but like I said, I'm spoiled. Service was quick and the restaurant seemed fairly clean being that it is opened to the outside with plenty of foot traffic. Would totally recommend eating here, especially if you have that certain craving without the availability of a best friend to cook for you. Haha

I was told by the owner oh it is per pound. The packaging says how much it weigh already. When she was ringing me up with my goods, she still went ahead and weigh the products that is already been weighed by the manufacturer. I got 8 items and was charge almost 90 dollars. I came home and mind you i am 5 months pregnant, i was going to fry some squid because it is one thing f most filipinos fav dried fish, found black molds. Apparently it says on the package that it has to be in the cold environment at all times. Ut the owner is just letting it sits in the counter with room temperature. No wonder why molds grew inside. I called her and she got an attitude and was told" it is normal to have mold in the dried fish." So she was saying that it is ok for pregnant woman to eat mold. I told her i am servsafe certified and run a multi million dollar restaurant and i know what i am talking about. And i was told to just return it. Im Hoping she would not re sell it.

I like the food court here better and now there's a banh mi/pho place as well (haven't tried). They have homemade soy milk, frozen homemade dumplings, ducks and cakes for order. Their bakery section is no longer cash only, which is great. 888 seems to have the same range as Pan-Asia but I somehow find more Chinese and Vietnamese foods here. I was looking to make Vietnamese fried flour rice cakes (bánh bột chiên) and I could only find them here. Before Pan-Asia got a makeover, 888 was my go-to. They used to be worse about labeling prices, but they've gotten better. Unfortunately my most recent visit had a couple items on the receipt that were scanned extra times and my partner hadn't noticed. Staff if always nice and helpful otherwise. Always double check your receipts!
