The strawberry old fashioned used to be my go to drink but it's been off the menu for years and it has been hard to find something comparable on their menu that's not a regular old fashioned. They had me at pinball. We may have been the oldest people in there by several (wink wink) years but we didn't let that stop us! Loved the indoor/outdoor space and the margaritas were surprisingly great. The wait for bowling was long on a weekend night, so we skipped that. Bubba bubba here- Been a min but lowkey places have been treating me good...until I got to Pins. Went at 9:30 on a Friday with a group of friends. I was the designated driver and I'll be 21 in literally 2 weeks. The "bouncer" denied me at the door even after saying I was driving and not going to drink. Was mad because I spent a lot to park down there. At least the place was empty so made me feel good they turned away a solid $50 in profit from us. What an absolute blast! Our air BNB room faced this fun spot. We definitely knew we needed to check it out. It's a duck pin bowling spot but they have all sorts of games. They don't serve food but they have a permanent food truck. You go and order and they bring it out to you. There were some fun drinks too. We enjoyed sitting out on the swings. Our company had a large event here, and it was an absolute blast. Pins had so many different games, and it was fun to play several under one roof. Duckpin bowling (8 lanes available) was especially fun. They have ping pong, hookie, giant jenga, giant connect four, foosball, and many pinball machines. This was an interesting place. I was glad to I got to check out this modern-day arcade. The place doesn't have any food, but they do sometimes have food trucks to grab something to eat. I think they also may have small things like popcorn or something, but perhaps I'm misremembering. The fun here is in the games. They have duckpin bowling! What is this, you ask? Great question, because I had no clue. It's similar to the 10-pin bowling that's more typical... in that there are pins, 10 of them, and a ball that hits them. The pins are smaller, though, and the ball is much smaller as well; you won't use the one you're familiar with that has holes for holding it. Because of the size of the pins and ball, you get to roll three times per frame. Super fun, in part because it's a different style than is typical and also because it feels easier in some respects--for instance, you're not trying to control a 13 pound bowling ball, but something that fits more easily into the palm of your hand. There's also other games like pinball, foosball tables, pingpong, and other diversions. They have a pretty well-stocked bar, and non-alcoholic beverages as well. I've come to this Pins location quite a few times over the past five years and love it. They have duckpin bowling and pinball machines, as well as tons of other small games scattered everywhere. I never buy any drinks and I'm not sure if what they have is any good. On my recent visit this past Saturday, my wife and I popped in for a quick game of duckpin bowling. We got in pretty fast and had a great time. The only issue is that part way into the game, the lane (#8) malfunctioned. My wife hit a strike yet it didn't register the back left outside pin. Thinking it was a fluke, we didn't bother the staff. Well, it happened again. Rather than let it spoil a perfectly good time, we decided to finish the game and report the issue. BIG MISTAKE! The person in charge off setting up the lanes was neck deep in helping customers with no one behind the counter to assist her. Thinking I could pop over real quick and tell her about the issue, I approached her. She immediately cut me off and told me to go to the back of the rather long line. The only problem was I wanted to stop her from selling another game on a malfunctioning lane. Nope, she kept cutting me off and didn't want to hear what I said. There needs to be a better system for reporting breakdowns because I don't like being shut down so rudely when I'm clearly just trying to help. But, that bad experience isn't enough for me to beat them up. Every business or employee has a bad day, so I'm willing to let that go. However, I'm hard pressed to pay for duckpin bowling now that I know they don't have a clear system for addressing breakdowns without forcing the paying customer to stand in line to explain it. Four stars because of the bad experience, otherwise, I'd give them a flawless review. Please take care of your workers, Pins. It's clear they don't feel valued if they're passing they stress off to customers without realizing they're trying to help. read more

Automatic five stars for this bar being dog friendly at all of their locations. Only kind of kidding. We lived in Seattle where dogs were allowed almost everywhere that didn't serve food. Ohio has different rules and we haven't been able to take our sweet pup out with us as much (culture shock for him). It was wonderful being able to have him with us as we celebrated an engagement at Pins! We also got a wag bag which is precious. He's still wearing the bandana. I didn't play any of the games but we did indulge in several drinks. Bartenders were all very friendly and accommodating to slight modifications. The prices were pretty good too! There were a lot of people but it felt comfortable with plenty of ledges to put your drinks and some tables / chairs / couches. We'll definitely be back! Came in last night for a couple beers with a friend who was in town. It was slow, so we decided to play a few games of the bowling they got here. I'll tell ya, it stinks. The one guy got a bunch of strikes, and no one else did. Also, the machine broke a bunch and we had to call people over to fix it every couple of frames. Such a cool spot to spend an evening! I wish I had a place this fun near me. My brother brought me here to play duckpin bowling. It was my first time playing this kind of bowling and I really enjoyed it. The lanes are shorter, pins are smaller, and you have three chances at knocking down the pins. The bowling area was well maintained and very nice. The score board changes to either compliments or insults depending on how many pins you knock down which was entertaining. Behind the lanes are tables and chairs for lounging. Duckpin bowling is popular and can have a several hour wait on weekends. The whole venue has a clean, trendy feel. Lounge areas with seating are in between the games and televisions. Two large patios have more seating and life size games like beer pong. The night we were there a few food trucks were on one of the patios. Everyone should be able to find something fun to play here. There are several bars to get drinks and the prices are so reasonable. A cocktail and a beer came to $12! I had to ask the bartender to repeat the total because I live in Vegas and $12? I didn't understand this affordability. My roommates and I brought our dads to Pins while they were all in town visiting in late September, and it was one of the most fun nights I've had in a while! We all ubered there, but I believe they have a very spacious parking lot. The dads LOVED playing what they called the "giant beer pong", where you try to throw a plush ball into the opponents trash cans. The dads were very competitive to say the least, and they ended up winning in a landslide!! The outdoor area is so beautifully decorated with greenery and lighting. The ambiance was just perfect. We were able to go to the inside bar to get our drinks, but we often also had servers coming around asking if we were doing okay, which was nice. Pins doesn't have any actual food, but they hire food trucks to sit around the outdoor area and serve food. That night it was a taco truck! We got mozzarella sticks, quesadillas, french fries, and tacos. We sat at a picnic table in the back to eat. They also had a ton of games inside too, like arcade games, bowling, and ping pong. What a fun place! We discovered this unique and fun place being invited to a friends of my birthday party to celebrate. This place is too fun! You can be like a kid again. They have pin ball machines, Foose Ball tables, a giant Jenga game. There ate 2 bars, two patios with fire pits. One bar area even had Patio Pong. A giant version of beer pong. lol . The other bar had Duckpin bowling. It is a really cute form of bowling. There was a 2 hour wait so we weren't able to play it this time. My hubby and I played pinball and Fooseball. It was so much fun. There isn't any food served but there are two food trucks on site to purchase yummy stuff. You are also able to bring your own food in. A cool hangout place. It's a very large building (which is good because there are normally a ton of people there) and has 2 bars. Pins has a lot of places to sit both inside and outside which is nice. BOTH of their patios are very large, comfortable, and offer patio games. I love hanging out with friends, sipping a beer or cocktail, and playing Giant Jenga on the patio. They also have Giant Beer Pong on one of their patios which I've never tried, but looks cool. During the winter time they turn on a fire pit that is probably the warmest fire pit I've ever experienced. It's great being able to be on a patio in the middle of winter! Inside they have ping pong, duck bowling, and pinball. Duck bowling is particularly fun but every time I'm at Pins there is a very long wait to play it. If you are more patient than me you will enjoy it. I knocked Pins down a star in my review only because I feel like they are a tad overpriced. read more

I stopped in at Pins last night after a stroll through downtown Columbus with some Jeni's Ice Cream. Honestly, I just stumbled upon it and after hearing great things I thought..why not? I grabbed a beer and walked around to find a place to chitchat and watch some baseball. After eventually learning what duckpin bowling is and continuing to stroll around...low and behold there's an outdoor area with a fire pit and a big screen right above it! Is this real life? It was seriously a perfect night out and this place made all my dreams come true. Now, while I didn't play any games (yet) I'll definitely be back. This place was very cool. This was my first time there. We had a bachelorette party with about 12 ladies. It was a Saturday night so I got there around 6:30 to put our names in for lanes. I had heard that it can be a long wait. They said it would be about an hour and a half but it was only 45 min. Not bad. The patio area is awesome. I got a high top table there and enjoyed a shaved ice that was really good. I would suggest stirring them up once you get them or you end up with all of the alcohol at he bottom lol. The lanes were great. Comfy couches, plenty of places to out your drinks, lots of room. If you have an issue with the lane malfunctioning and the pins won't line back up you don't even have to call someone over, they just have someone there watching and there is a second to help. The giant beer pong was awesome. Loved playing that. It was first come first serve and we didn't have to wait long for that either. I will say, it was a little bit of a cluster to close our tabs. Great spot for people watching and seems to cater to lots of groups, bachelor / bachelorette parties. If trash pong ain't yo' thang, they also have pinball machines, old school bowling, ping pong, giant connect four, and jenga. Some games do cost money so just a heads up. Their beer selection is pretty impressive with over 30 choices on draft. Pints run $5-$6 and an extra $2-3 for the tall glass. White claws seemed to be the choice of many while I was here. "Ain't no laws when you drinking claws" don't forget that. And if you're hungry there were two food trucks on site as well. We normally end up here when we bring new friends around Columbus for a night of adventures. It's always a good place to bring people who haven't been to Columbus before since it has everything you would need to entertain. Giant pong, giant jenga, foosball, pin ball machines, and duck pin bowling! They have a great Mediterranean food truck on the premises that makes awesome gyros.
