I had my daughter birthday party there and they started the bowlin before all the kids was there my 2 sons only got to bowl for 20min. At first the refused to open the snake bar for my guests bc they was understaffed until I complained. They made my guests move tables but nobody was sittin there. And we could never find anyone. I've been Bowling at this alley since it was Big Western, and this is my favorite version of it so far! Has that old school bowling alley feel, but had been beautifully updated to be "retro-chic" if that's a thing. Lol super clean, very appealing on the inside. Still cheapish bowling with an arcade and laser tag. Kids had as much fun now as we did back in the day. Great, old school westside staff. The food now was surprisingly very good. The chicken tenders were super hot and fresh, as good or better than you'd get at any restaurant (like caines, cough) the hand cut fries were great. Front desk staff was friendly and they have a special on Thursdays $15 for shoes and unlimited bowling so that was a great deal. Contrary to some older reviews one thing I noticed upon walking in was it did not smell bad like the usual bowling alley I go to. We did have a few issues with our lane but they were fixed very quickly. Bar staff was a little unprofessional, they seemed a little more interested in each other rather than customers. It is my first time bowling at Rollhouse Columbus, since it changed their name from Game of Western Columbus. The staff is very friendly. Kudos for free water and unlimited soft drink refills because they do not have to-go cups. They did get rid of the soda vending machines. RollHouse Entertainment was better than expected considering their location. They have 28 lanes, there was plenty of space for everyone and no waiting on a Friday night. They have two hour unlimited bowling for $15/person including shoes. There is a fairly large arcade where you can win tickets for prizes. They have laser tag, food, and a bar available. I wish they had a shop to buy bowling balls though. I need a new ball. Bowling alley balls are not that great and never fit right. The evening was fun and I can't wait to go back. read more

We've been here many times and also use this location for Kids Bowl Free every summer. I absolutely love the people that work here! It definitely shows that they care about their job. They are very patient with all my kids. They employees encourage the kids and really want them to enjoy bowling. We only do the laser tag when it's on special because it's a little smaller than some of the ones we've been to but it's nice that it's not super crowded which is why my kids love it. The kids enjoy the game room and the games are fun for adults too. I like that this place is always clean and we even like the food. The fried pickles and peppers is something we order regularly and everyone likes it. I do love that there are tables and wide comfy seating down by the lane as opposed to some other places where you have only have those hard plastic seats by the lane and the tables and chairs are up behind you. This makes it more comfortable for everyone and easier to have food during the game so the kids are not walking back and forth past other people just to get a drink or a bite of food. Yesterday day we spent the day at Western for my daughters 5th birthday party. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left the staff was professional and helpful. We had about 15 people bowling, kids and adults and the staff did an amazing job at accommodating of bowling needs. I had 5 children on one lane with a need for bumpers and a need for the bowling assistant contraption. They made sure all of this was set up before my guest arrived Many people in our party ordered food which was quickly prepared and brought to our tables. What a turnaround from the old days of this bowling alley! This place used to be a smoke-filled pig sty...like most bowling alleys were back in the day. But they e remodeled in the past few years and it is 100 times better. Had my son's 6th birthday party here today. It was a great experience for all of us. Reasonable prices, really good pizza, and a friendly staff. I couldn't give them the fifth star because of their inability to answer the phone or return messages. When I was planning this party, I tried several times to call and get prices. I even left a message once but never received a call back. I had to drive there and talk to someone in person. I grew up on this side of town, and I am so happy to see how nice this bowling alley has become! In high school, it was smokey inside and a bit run down. Now that Game has purchased it and given it a makeover, it's so nice inside! I hadn't been in years and was surprised to see how much it has improved. Now, they have a nice arcade, and you can even play laser tag! I'm not sure of the bowling prices per game, as I was here for a fundraiser event. The food seemed to be a fair price for what was offered, and their menu had a variety of bar/pub-style foods. We had the pizza, which wasn't amazing, but was good for the price. The woman behind the counter said that they make their dough in-house. I also like that they play music videos on the big screens that hang over the lanes, and had the black lights and specialty lighting that you expect for night time bowling. Great improvements! The pin action isn't here. The carry is like bowling with 5lb pins. I think the machines are from the early-mid 80's. Big tongues that swivel down to set the rack. Place is clean and comfortable and fun if you're looking to bring the kids and everyone throws a straight ball. For tournament bowling there needs to be a bunch improvements. If the PBA would have a tournament here I definitely would skip bowling. read more

This bowling alley has spent quite a bit of money to fix the appearance, but not much on the quality of the lanes. Their lanes puts gashes in my ball and have to make too many calls to the desk to fix the lane. Really not trying to buy a ball each year. Will be looking for a better alley for league, going forward, for their prices I know there are better. Supposed chef is dirty, witnessed him leaving the kitchen numerous times and return to kitchen without washing his hands. The bathroom is one of them. My daughter wanted a bowling party for her 13th Birthday so I called around town to get prices. While Western Bowl was the cheapest, it was still $150 and that only covered an hour of bowling. It also included food, decorations and a gift card toward the game room for 10 people. I didn't really need the other inclusions so I bought a Groupon for $25 for 6 people for 2 hours of bowling, shoe rental and a pitcher of pop. When we arrived we were told that because we didn't purchase the $150 package, we were not allowed to bring in the cake that I had for her birthday. If we wanted to stay, we had to leave it in the car. It was 85 degrees out and I knew that the cake would be ruined if we left it out there. I thought this was a bad way to do business. I've been to numerous bowling alleys in the Columbus and surrounding areas. Some are dirty or decrepit, some treat you as though if you aren't a pro, you are not worthy. This place I discovered by accident looking for a decent place to bowl that had generous hours of operation while having lanes open even if you aren't on a league. The location is easy to get to, the outside doesn't necessarily reflect the spotless and well decorated interior. We actually walked inside and went whoa! This place is nice! Super spotlessly clean, no ugly plastic chairs but nice sofas and tables making each lane area more like a personal living room and oh, such a nice comfy surprise that makes you just want to stay and eat and play all day. Did I say spotless! The lanes, even the gutters all shine and every time I'm there someone is dusting, cleaning or hanging decor relevant to a holiday or just making for a joyous experience. The proprietors couldn't be more polite and friendly. Susan is never without a smile and kind greeting, Thornton is super polite and quick to get you set up bowling. Both treat customers as though it is their pleasure to serve you with prompt kindness. All the employees are friendly and also quick to deal with lanes issues or anything that comes up. The food is exceptional for bowling alley food and I'm told the whole menu is being changed soon for more classy diner friendly low fat options. There's a large area for arcade games and laser tag, and as an added bonus the gifts that can be traded for tokens are often changing and some are super amazing high quality stuffed animals. We had the opportunity to experience the bowling ally at its busiest time, a state tournament! Safe to say we have been to many ally's most from the Cleveland area but this is above and beyond just a bowling ally. It has a beautiful and clean facility, the furniture is in excellent condition and includes sofas and a beverage coffee style table on the lanes for the comfort of the bowlers. The staff was extremely courteous and pleasant given the stressful nature of having every lane full and and constant demands. The equipment was in excellent condition and had no major malfunctions. We indulged in lunch as we were here through that time frame, this is NOT typical alley food!! The prices seemed high for bowling ally items but the quality and portions were beyond words!!! I not say enough great things about this establishment. Make a full date night out here. Enjoy dinner, bowling and arcade games and enjoy a few beers!!! I bought a Groupon to use here for 3 games with shoes. I arrived on a Saturday at 5:00 to use it but was told there would be an hour and a half wait. I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe I should have shown the Groupon after I got the lane, because the first 15 lanes were all open along with a few scattered among the ones being used toward the other end. There was a lady at the desk scheduling a birthday party and the times for that were 2-4 or 3-5, so parties should have been ending now leaving lanes open. I will be better equipped to comment on actually bowling if I ever get to do so. This place isn't bad if you got some money and we ready to spend the next few hours hanging out with friends. It's cheaper than many other bowling alleys around town, and newly renovated. I've been to this location twice and the second time I went. Disaster struck. I see that the drinks make up for the low bowling price ($2.25 for a cup of soda). Our bowling alley completely stopped working 3 times within 2 hours, and each time we had to contact the front desk. They said that because the bowling lane was breaking so much, we would relieve extra bowling time. No time was added. The newly renovated building looks great on the inside, but not so much on the outside.
