I took my family for dinner at Pinstripes and we ordered an appetizer of hummus and we were offered celery and cucumbers instead of pita bread due to a dairy allergy to which I was charged a couple dollars extra for. I then ordered a Cobb salad and eliminated the bacon and tomatoes and asked for some cucumber instead for which I was charged an extra dollar for. That was ridiculous as i didn't ask to add the cucumber but to give it to me as a sub for the tomatoes and bacon. It's not the dollar but the principal of it all. I have dined at the Cleveland location on numerous occasions. Initially the service was slow, but it improved with some time. I've visited with small groups as well as large groups. My first sign of trouble was back in February, 2023 when an ERG from my job made a reservation for 19 people for a linked-up event and when we arrived they told us that they didn't have a reservation, even though our contact person had been speaking with their private party coordinator for a couple days making the arrangements. You would think I would have learned then, but I didn't. After that, I often made reservations and wet to the Sunday Brunch. I should have known it was going to good for a few months. All of a sudden, my reservations started getting cancelled. I didn't contact them on the first cancellation but I reached out to the manager on the second cancellation (which was an absolute waste of time)! At that time, he said he had no explanation as to why the reservation was cancelled but he would make sure that never happened again. He was very dismissive, unconcerned and eager to end the call. Well very next reservation was also cancelled. I called in again, this time, they took a message for a manager to call me back (he never did). I looked for a corporate number and the young lady gave me an email address to someone she said was a regional manager of the location. I sent him an email. He responded about 2-4 days later with 3-4 words. I'll call you Monday. I heard from him on Tuesday, only for him to tell me he use to work at the Cleveland location but he's at another location but he would pass my email on to Nate at the Cleveland location. Nate at the Cleveland location called me today, which was a waste of time. As I stated I have made numerous reservations so I'm very much aware of the process, I know they send a text message confirmation and you have to replay, like I told him, on the reservations that were cancelled, I never received the confirmation text messages, I only received the cancellation email. He goes on to tell me that all he can tell me is what he has in front of him and it shows that I marked X in the text message cancelling the reservations. Now what puzzles me is, when I talked to the first manager, he had no clue why the reservations were cancelled but today all of a sudden Nate has cancelled text messages, don't you think the first manager would have seen that as well. Another insult to my intelligence! Then he says, I want to make sure we have the correct telephone number and email for you. Let's see...I told you I received a cancellation email from you all, that would indicate you have the correct email address and you said I responded with an X to the confirmation text message, that would indicate you have the correct telephone number. His call was a waste of time! It's so unfortunately, that they treat consumers with such disrespectful treatment but still expect us to continue to support their business and return to their establishment. Well not me. I had some rosemary pasta that was delicious and my husband had another pasta dish that was also very good. Came another time to play bocce and were able to make a reservation for it- not sure if you will be able to walk into a court on a weekend night it's pretty busy lately. We were looking for a place to eat lunch/brunch while out shopping in the area. Neat place really. A lot going on. We were seated in a large dining area. It was fairly crowded and loud. We waited 5 minutes for a waitperson. We placed a drink order 5 minutes later. My wife got he mimosa in about 8 minutes. My mule took 15. It was disappointing when it did arrive. No noticeable taste of vodka or ginger beer. My wife had the Cali egg white omelet with avocado toast. The omelet was as described. Nice and temperature hot. The o acad o toast was not toast really as it lost any crispness it might have had. It also had chili flakes all over it. My wife picked it off but by bit. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with sauce on the side. Thankfully on the side as it was truly spicy. The chicken was not very big. It was not temperature hot and was very dry. The bun was quite firm and a tad big. I did not eat much of the bun. The Parmesan fries were ok for the first few, but lost luster quickly as they too were not very hot. My guess is my Sammy was waiting for the omelet. Al in all, it took some time to get everything. The drinks, the food and then the check. I understand they were busy, but it was not managed well. We have been to Pinstripes a few times for happy hour. Today we went with some friends for Easter brunch and bowling. The food was good and the bowling was fun. My only complaint is that we made a reservation for 2:45. When we got there they told us they would start taking down the buffet in about 15 minutes. Not really fair to give us a 2:45 reservation, charge them full price and tell us we only had 15 minutes. I came stopped by here on a Thursday afternoon to see if they have dog friendly patio since I was with my puppy walking around. They had a separate section that was dog friendly which was really nice! More restaurants should do this ! They have really good happy hour on the weekdays till 6:30 pm! $4 drafts and Good appetizers, pizzas, and flatbread ! I ordered the hummus and avocado dip and side of fries ! The dip was amazing ! It came with thin sliced cucumber, warm pita bread and peppers. The dip was so good and I would go back just to get this! The fries were crispy and warm! The service was friendly! If I could give zero stars I would. Went here for my moms birthday this past weekend - first time ever coming here and will be our last. There were 7 of us...they seated us all in one lane and there was no way for us all to sit together (they only allow you half the seating area because there are two lanes that share). The lane kept breaking down and shutting off - they told us they would give us extra time and only gave 10 min at the end even though it was down for longer. I walked in with a group of 3 people at around 8:45pm-9:00pm and was expecting to have to wait for a lane to open but we got taken back to the lane right away, which was fantastic! We sit down and about 10 minutes passes before we saw who our server would be and an extra 5 minutes to get 3 glasses of water. We get our appetizers and our server is nowhere to be found. Our server finally arrives back to our table and asked if we were okay and I said "Yes, Can I get a refill whenever you get a moment" and they reply "Absolutely" Server disappears again and shows up 10 minutes later, with no refill. We put our entree order in. A group of around 6-7 walked in and immediately they sit down and they have drinks and they're putting orders in. Not even 15 minutes later their food is already out and on the table while we're still waiting on our food and we've already been there for 1hr+ . The chocolate fondue fountain was a nice touch. However, empty pans and baskets weren't refilled when needed in several cases. They ran out of smoked salmon. Waffles served were cold. Dirty plates were left on our table even when staff was walking around us. When asked for hot sauce, coffee or butter it wasn't brought promptly. The bagels burned in the toaster oven if you didn't know to remove them early. We're not sure the 4 water glasses on our table for 6 were clean as one had water in the bottom of it. We were in visiting from PA and we figured this would be a great place to go for fun and dinner. We just did bowling with is pretty expensive but it was cute inside and you had a couch and there are different games to play, other than just the traditional bowling. Our waiter took our drink orders and when he brought back the drinks he gave us a menu so we decided what we wanted but he never ever came back. He was hanging out with the other waiters at the end. What a disappointing experience Saturday, 1/23! For starters, I was planning my own Birthday Celebration and called Pinstripes Thursday, 1/21 to inquire about reserving an indoor bocce court. Based on Pinstripes recommendation, I scheduled my court online. Unbeknownst to me, the court was an outside one. Even though we live in 'COVID Era,' who offers outdoor courts when the weather forecast predicts 20 degree temps? During Thursday afternoon's fact finding phone call, I clearly asked about a Saturday 7:00pm indoor reservation. So here's the problem, Saturday evening about 6:30, Pinstripes called to confirm the outdoor court 30 minutes before our scheduled arrival. Wait...what? The hostess informed me that no indoor options were available. Again, not many people play Bocce ball in 20 degree weather. After talking with the manager, Karen (really that's her name, she refused to provide a first initial for her last name) I was informed there was nothing to be done about my scheduling mistake (her words). As a passenger being driven to my birthday celebration, I tried to find a workable solution seated in the back seat as we drove toward their location. Karen and the hostess offered a 7:00 dinner reservation, but the damage was already done. The point of heading to an action-oriented venue like Pinstripes is to be active with friends, not just eat. Here are my suggestions: #1. be sure patrons are aware of outdoor reservations during winter months. Admittedly, I share some responsibility for this oversight. #2. since it appears you call patrons to confirm reservations, do so earlier than 30 minutes prior. #3. double check all outdoor reservations throughout December to April. #4. train your staff to display a small amount of empathy and a willingness to improve the situation. I was really impressed with Sunday Brunch, this past weekend! My girlfriends and I met here for brunch, and we were not at all disappointed. We arrived right at 10:00AM, and there were a few other tables already occupied. We were seated, placed our cocktail orders ($4 Mimosas!), and proceeded to the buffet. Very nice selection, omelette bar with multiple filling options and the option for egg whites, in addition to whole eggs. There were 2 attendants, working the omelette station, nearby waffle station and carving station (prime rib and roasted turkey breast). The omelette and the turkey breast were delicious. There was also a hot station with pasta, breakfast meats, potatoes, bagels etc. Next, fresh salads, marinated mozzarella and tomatoes, smoked salmon, shrimp cocktail, muffins/croissants/scones and best of all, delicious drop biscuits, that were tender and tasty!
