Not sure why this particular Morton's is not rated higher. We came in a very large group and they took great care of us. The restaurant has a lot of great seating options and is good for big parties. Came here for appetizers and cocktails after spending some time at The Jack. We went to the Bar 12-21. This is right across the street and perfect spot for a few nibbles to share. We had the petite filet mignon sandwiches (four sliders), short rib taco (three) and onion rings. This was a nice amount for the five of us to share. I had the spirited flight of old fashion. Horse Soldier Straight, Small Batch & Barrel Strength Bourbons A Handcrafted Trio of All‑Natural Bourbons, Honoring American Heritage. My favorite was the barrel strength, but they were all very nice! Perfect old fashions with the orange peal, luxardo cherry. . Our server was great! We had our cocktails in a good amount of time. I have to say I wanted a nice diner out downtown and I sure received it. The WiFi was my only issue. I couldn't send GIFs, Wah!, or update my parking via my phone. No big deal but I was there for 3 hours. The service was TOP NOTCH, I was never without "water" and I drink a lot of water out at diners. My Server was "Haley" she was very nice attentive and personable, I couldn't have asked for a better server for my diner out. She helped with all my questions, and I took forever to order and she was very accommodating with that, I ordered some wine for diner and she let me taste a wine before ordering, I started with Scallops, and they come with this apricot chutney and she informed me it had like a horseradish base, it was the star of the dish, really, I saved the chutney for the rest of my meal. I then had a Greek salad, it was fantastic, and it serves about 4. I of course was here for their Main lobster special, and it was amazing and yes I wore a bib, cause if you eat lobster like me you need it! And "Haley" my sever said it suited me. I ordered a side of cauliflower, and she(Haley) informed me it was like a mashed potatoes and it was, but so good. I decided, I will have Some decaf coffee, and "Haley" sold me again, on my decision to have a piece of carrot cake, it's only around for limited time and the chef makes it in house she said, and it was amazing, now I ate my portion and asked to have things boxed up and "Haley" was so nice about it and very attentive, just accommodating, bagged up, boxed, course by course, and I ordered a petite filet to take home to my daughter, "Haley" even boxed up my huge loaf of onion bread that gets served in the beginning . I had a wonderful evening with a great booth all to myself, a very nice diner, with laughs and nice conversation, it was exactly what I wanted. At one point the Manager "Josh" came out, Haley introduced him, very nice staff all a round, I just wish I would paid the valet to park my car. I cannot express how nice my meal was and how well I was taken care of by all the staff, and especially "Haley" my serve, Haley was there from beginning to end and never slowed down, I can't say enough about her and how much she added to the enjoyment of my meal. Morton's Steakhouse - Downtown Cleveland We had reservations for Morton's Steakhouse at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening in October. There were five of us in our party. Our server, Amanda, was pleasant and worked hard all evening, and throughout dinner we were also visited by Shannon, Josh, and Lindsay, who I believe were the floor managers. (There seemed to be several of them rotating through the dining room.) My first question of the night was about the little sleeping pig statue on the table. I was surprised that neither our server nor any of the managers seemed to know its story at first. Eventually, someone explained that it symbolizes leaving the restaurant "content and full, like a happy pig." I'm still undecided if that's charming or not--but at least it was memorable! The atmosphere reminded me of an old-school steakhouse where business lunches and martinis once ruled the day. Since it's connected to the casino, the crowd was mixed--everything from casually dressed guests in flip-flops to what looked like a professional sports team heading into a private dining room. We had dressed up, thinking it was a more formal experience, but that didn't seem required. For drinks, a few of us had cocktails, while others ordered tap or sparkling water. Unfortunately, our water glasses were rarely refilled throughout the meal. For appetizers, I had the French Onion Soup. The flavor was good, but it had clearly been left under the broiler too long--leaving the top layer with bitter, burnt bits of onion. My Filet Mignon (8 oz, $59) was the highlight of my entrée--tender, nicely seared, and cooked beautifully inside. I tried it with truffle butter, which was fine but not necessarily worth the hype. Dessert was both the best and most chaotic part of the evening. Two guests ordered ice cream, but we were told the ice cream maker had broken. When it finally arrived, it was more of a soft-serve consistency. Still, the bread pudding it came with was excellent--rich, flavorful, and large enough to share. Unfortunately, the service slowed to a crawl by this point. We waited nearly 30 minutes for coffee because, as we were told, it was "still dripping." By the time it arrived, we had already finished dessert and were ready to go--almost three hours after we sat down. Overall, Morton's is a beautiful restaurant with good food, but the service didn't match the high-end pricing or reputation. With multiple managers on the floor, I expected a bit more attentiveness and restaurant knowledge. Maybe it was an off night, and I'd be willing to give it another try--but next time, I'll adjust what I order and my expectations. read more

Decided to splurge and go to Morton's steak and seafood. Classic steakhouse decor but very comfortable. Service was outstanding. Started with half dozen oysters on the half shell and a martini. Perfect combo and the oysters were fabulous as well as the market as well as the martini which featured blue cheese stuffed olives. The onion bread for the table was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and really delicious. For our next course we had the wedge salad and lobster bisque. A generous portion of lobster was put in the middle of the bowl and the lobster bisque was poured over. The bisque was so rich however the lobster for some reason tasted like it had been frozen maybe. We ask for a little bit of Sherry to put on the top and they obliged and it made it so much better. A taste of wine was offered before we selected our wines which I thought was very nice and should be done at every restaurant without the patron having to ask. Hubby had the wagyu filet and declared it was great. Cooked perfectly with no sauce but there were a variety of sauces available. The steak should stand on its own he said. And apparently it did he ate everybody of it. I had the me so glazed sea bass which was perfectly cooked so soft and tender. It had a fairly good taste but came with accoutrement that I didn't care for. Bok choy, shitake mushroom and dashi broth. It could have been me but everything tasted pretty fishy. And I were always true so I use that term seriously. We had truffle fries with it and they were delicious with the truffle mayonnaise. We were too full for the signature chocolate cake but I did have a brandy alexander. Bartender at ice cream accessible for some reason he didn't put it in there. It was thin and light. The waiter did save it somewhat with the scoop of ice cream so I was happy. Could have had more liquor. I wish I could have gone there and shown him how to make a Brandy Alexander. All in all really enjoyed Morton's steakhouse experience. Just a note: we had reservations for four because we were traveling afterwards. We arrived earlier but a man that looked like he was in charge of the valets said we for sure could park there until it was time to go in. He said a woman would come out and get our money. We waited till 4:00 and then we waited some more. About 4:10 4:15 she finally came out. Not apologetic and not particularly friendly but hey they were probably stressed out. My husband and I have been to Morton's multiple times for date nights and work parties and this was honestly the worst experience we've ever had. We asked our waiter about selecting a red wine and he said he would be back in "20 seconds" to consult with another colleague and he came back around 15 minutes later and said the wine was on its way. A few minutes after that, the manager brought the wine to our table and opened it for us. Our garden salad tasted wilted and stale and the dressing was too tangy. The scallops we ordered were quite small and tasted like they came out of a box. Both of our 8oz filets were so salty we couldn't finish them. We've both never had such a salty steak in our lives, it was horrible. The restaurant was almost empty with only a few tables filled and our service was still very slow. After this experience and our previous bad experience last week at their sister restaurant, Morton's Grill, we've decided this is the last dollar we will spend at this steakhouse chain. Very disappointing. Also to note: this Morton's was 0.5 miles away from our hotel and we took an Uber because we didn't feel safe walking back to the hotel at night. read more

Three of us made reservations to celebrate a birthday! When our waiter Max was great He was and other staff we very friendly and helpful, he also offered to get a picture and he used an actual camera then came back with the picture. The food I got was very good, I got the lobster bisque and the cold water lobster but my friends were splitting the tom-hawk ribeye and said it was over cooked, and they said that the potatoes were dry and that the cheese was overcooked. Then we got dessert two of use got the crème brûlée and my other friend got the cheesecake with blueberry's. Our reservations were for 4 right when they opened and it was very nice, there wasn't a lot of people when we got there but was more people were coming in. Our bill was about $304 dollars. read more

I was a table of one (on work trip) who made a reservation. Not wanting to take a whole table on a busy night, I agreed to sit at the bar. What a mistake. 1) So much for the dress code. Remove it from your website if you let people dine with baseball hats, t-shirts, hoodies, flip-flops, and tank tops. 2) Your bar service is insanely slow. I ordered happy hour chicken sliders and onion wings at 410p and they didn't arrive until 515? Be prepared already. 3) The level of screaming, from barmate to barmate, aND BARTENDER TO PEOPLE AT THE BAR, was crazy. Seriously, it was louder than a sports bar. Every experience I've had at Morton's across the country has even classy and quiet. This experience absolutely tucked. This location obviously doesn't care about the customer experience, exemplified by how they online/reservation listings/Landry listings say it opens at 4p and their door still advertised pandemic hour openings of 5p. read more

Had a perfect date night this weekend at Morton's. We started with an espresso martini and a house pinot noir. We had a wedge and house chopped salad for our first course. The lobster shells and cheese are worth the upgraded price. I had a lovely lemon drop martini to finish the meal. Service was friendly and sweet. So, I've been coming to this Morton's for 22 years. It used to be my standard for steak. We used to frequent it every month or so.... then it merged with Lowry's. Quality dropped a bit, so we started going to Capitol Grille. Nostalgia has brought us back to Morton's several times, hoping for a return to old glory. This time, it was to celebrate a family birthday. Started off hopeful, favorite appetizer of bacon scallops were delicious, seared tuna was good, but there it ended. Ordered 14oz ribeye medium rare. Arrived closer to medium, and was very dry. I don't normally like to send things back, and service was a bit slow, but I could not eat my dry $70+ steak. When I informed my server of my medium steak, she might as well rolled her eyes at me and made me feel bad. Grudgingly, a new steak was brought to me that was closer to rare, but at least was edible and I was not about to send it back again. Oh, and 2 of the other ribeyes were tough and grisley. Family members noticed that dirty dishes weren't cleared, crumbs all over the table. No one wanted to prolong this dinner. We were provided with one chocolate lava cake for the birthday and six spoons. Apparently, we were all supposed to share. No dessert menu was offered. Coffee was finally offered after the cake was almost gone. At that point, we were ready to leave. Yeah, good thing we checked the receipt.We were charged for an extra steak (7 instead of 6). $800+ for a dinner, and i don't want to eat any leftovers. It's sad when the best part of the night was the valet. They were every polite and held car and restaurant doors for us. Don't think we'll be back any time soon. read more

Started with the house chopped salad, usually we get the ceasar but tried something different and it was a great salad. She had the Cajun ribeye, I just had a ribeye, both were prepared spot on, hers medium mine med-rare plus, they were perfect. Great char on the outside nice and juicy in. Scalloped potatoes were great, gouda cheese was just right. A new item was the schuan green beans, not sure on those. First bite was very good, very different but after that the flavor was over powering and the beans were over cooked, try something else. Banana bread pudding, waiters suggestion, wS outstanding. Service was great. Wine bottle prices a little high but not crazy. We will be back next year. Then our waitress visited and greeted us warmly, asking if we had an occasion. When we told her it was our anniversary, she took our picture and told us they would provide a free dessert and she gave us time to decide which one we wanted. Then she brought some warm onion bread. I knew I was going to get a steak, so I requested some red wine. She offered a couple options and offered free samples so I could choose one that I preferred. That was very nice. I opted for a 9 ounce glass of the one that tasted better. As an appetizer, I requested lobster bisque and my wife, French onion soup. For dinner, I requested ribeye steak and per the waitress's suggestion, I went with the cajun flavored version. For sides, I requested au gratin potatoes and asparagus, which we shared. My wife requested two lobster tails. A while later, our soups arrived. The lobster bisque was delicious as was the French onion soup. So far, the evening was going great. Then the meals arrived. Everything looked and smelled delicious. I tasted my steak and it was overpoweringly seasoned with the cajun spice. It was cooked correctly and the flavor was good. But when she said it just has a little cajun flavoring, she was wrong. It was a knock your socks off kind of cajun flavor, not just a hint. That kind of ruined the steak for me. My wife loved her lobster tails. The asparagus and the au gratin potatoes were excellent. The chocolate lava cake dessert was amazing, but we couldn't finish it because we ate so much. I was in town for a meeting and had an excellent dinner here with colleagues. The blackberry mojito was the perfect start to summer cocktail. The fresh bread was warm and delicious. I had the 8oz fillet which was cooked perfectly at medium rare and was so flavorful and tender. We shared sides of onions and mushrooms and Brussels sprouts. Both were delicious. We shared creme brûlée and hazelnut mousse for dessert. We diid laugh about the calorie counts on the menu possibly motivating more dessert sharing...I mean you know desserts aren't healthy, but seeing those over 1000 calorie counts on some definitely kept any of us from ordering one solo! I was in town for a business trip and wanted a great dinner after a long day of traveling. Morton's was close to my hotel so I decided to give it a go. Big fan that they had a separate gluten free menu all printed up so I didn't have to worry about every menu item. When arriving you have a choice between the restaurant and the bar. I chose the bar but looking back I wish I had chose the proper restaurant. It was difficult to get the bartenders attention if I needed something and when I asked a question they didn't always have the answers in the way I would hope a formal server would. Onto the food. As an appetizer I order the jumbo shrimp cocktail and their wedge salad. The ship cocktail: This was excellent! The shrimp were flavorful and clean and I would order it again. The cocktail sauce was really really good and packed a slight punch with heat but it was well balanced and wasn't overdone. The wedge salad: I love a good wedge salad and this one had some good elements but also some strange ones. I've never had hard boiled eggs on a wedge salad before and the pickled onions were a bit strong. If I were to return I'd order it without those two elements but Morton's makes their own blue cheese dressing for this salad and it is SO GOOD! Main Dish: For my main dish I ordered the filet mignon with their black truffle butter. It's important to note that you don't get any sides included which frankly always bothers me. They told me that their sides were very large and too much for one person so I didn't have anything to go with my steak and I wasn't a fan of that. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was very much on the rare side which was disappointing to me but it wasn't so bad that I sent it back. I expect steakhouses to cook steaks perfectly. The black truffle butter was delicious and added a lot of flavor so I highly suggest having that added on! I had a good experience here and would go back if I was there but like I said I'd sit in the formal restaurant side next time and make some small modifications to my order. This place is overpriced in my opinion for what you get, either offer more to make it worth it or do better overall. read more

Our server gave us the run down of specials for breast cancer month, our friend got a cocktail and it was $19, and my wine (that went to towards breast cancer donation) was $50 for one glass?! And only $1 went towards donation!!! Idk why I feel like that should've been clarified that it wasn't the same price as a cocktail and it was so expensive. If more went towards the research I wouldn't care. I just think that's a little absurd to charge that much and only give $1 towards donation? Maybe it's my fault for not asking how much Mind you, it wasn't even a nice bottle of wine, it is $19 at the store for a bottle. The service and ambiance are wonderful as are the sides but the steak is of poor quality. Full of gristle and hard to even cut through. I have had better at Outback and Longhorn for a fraction of the price. I highly suggest they change their butcher or meat vendor and step up and have a higher cut if meat. At those prices they surely can afford it. Definitely would not recommend Morton's to anyone. Wish I could be more positive but this has been my experience on my last two visits. read more

Morton's Steakhouse isn't what people would think of first when looking for a steakhouse in Cleveland, which is such a shame! Everything that I had here was absolutely delicious. There was not one dish here that disappointed me. The bone-in ribeye steak was big enough for two people to comfortably satisfy steak cravings. I prefer sharing one steak so that there's an opportunity to try many other dishes. Morton's is a more upscale kind of restaurant--the service and ambiance definitely match this vibe. The lights are dimmed inside so it really sets the mood for a perfect date night out. It isn't too loud in the restaurant so you're able to have conversation without needing to raise your voice. Morton's is located in downtown Cleveland, so parking can be challenging or expensive to find. There's very few street parking meters available in the area that Morton's is located at. read more

Although the location, host station and our meal were great, you pay extra for the service. Our server was beyond anything we have ever experienced dining in high end restaurants for two decades. Uttering an expletive when you politely request he wait a moment for your drink order is uncalled for, especially when I appreciate the effort and hard work a serving staff endures in a fast paced environment, always tip extra. There were at least 3-4 issues with different guests in our party from frustration when one asked for a bourbon list to another asking a simple question. In this case, I feel as if he took advantage of the fact he was going to get 20% on a bill over $1k regardless of how he treated our party. He needs a vacation. read more

The food is always on point, when you are here you "ponder" in between each bite..... sort of drift off for a moment and come back with a smile.
