Some of the kindest staff in all of Louisville. As an Irishman born and reared I felt very at home in a cozy snug pub vibe, with wooden furnishings and a dart board in the corner. The food was excellent, and a lot lighter than I thought it would be. Definitely not as greasy as you'd expect from typical pub grub. Highly recommend the spice bag and wish I could have extended my trip and tried the vindaloo! Plenty of variety in the menu, with frequent specials too. Come for the libations and food, stay for the atmosphere - you will feel right at home!

We were fans of Pints and Union when it was in IN and are so thrilled it's on our side if the river now! This is a perfect spot for them, it's so warm and cozy inside. Our food and drinks were wonderful abd the service was great. I didn't get a chance to see what the upstairs looked like so we will definitely be back!

As soon as you open the doors to Pints and Union you realize, this isn't your regular local bar. Even if I'd never been to an English pub, I'd imagine this would be the closest I'd get to an authentic one. Packed with charm, a mixture of furnishings , original flooring, and interesting wall decor, I felt this is where you'd go to have a nice cold point and wait for all of this to blow over. Now, to get to what you're probably looking for, the food. Let's establish that as the menu says, this is a curry house, if curry isn't your speed, there are plenty of options. Our table enjoyed the Scotch Eggs, fish and chips, hummus and burgers. Everything was excited nicely. Fish was crispy and of large portion, the scotch eggs were flavorful with a nice "schmear" of a mustard sauce that was tart but not overpowering. My girls loved the burgers. I hope to try their stews at some point. The only glitch we had in service and it wasn't even a glitch, was that we had to ask for the ketchup and our server more than made up for that. If that's a problem, I'll take it. With any opening, grace should be given to allow for things to settle in. I look forward to many nights looking out onto the streets of Bardstown Rd from a cozy corner of the bar.

So I have enjoyed Pints & Union since they were in the original location. I was excited when heard they were coming to Bardstown Rd. There is so much to love about this place. For me, the stand out is the ambiance. The new location is very cozy and reminds me of a pubs that I sat in when I was in Ireland. I really enjoy the food and most of all I get to enjoy my favorite beer there. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to many more visits.

I was a fan of Pints&Union in their old location, but I am thrilled to have them in Louisville now! We were able to finally go for dinner and were greeted by a friendly staff and warm environment. We have been looking for that "pub" atmosphere and they have nailed it! The beers were great, and the food was amazing. The Chicken Spice Bag may be my favorite thing there now! My husband got the spicy schnitzel sando and my daughter got chicken vindaloo that was a little spicy but she loved every bit. I got the special beef stew and it was so good I barely needed the bread. We can't wait to make it back!

Huge fans of Pints and Union being in our neighborhood! We have been needing a cozy, welcoming place with yummy food and drinks for the Highlands and they are it! Walkable, great menu selection, friendly staff and everything we've tried has been delicious! Definitely recommend. We plan to be regulars!

We had a couple cocktails in here and the service was excellent even though it appeared they were filled to capacity. There were 4 of us in our party and we were seated at a table in the corner near the bar. Was definitely a cozy spot with so many people being in there and the bar being full. I had The Holy Ghost cocktail and it was a pomegranate hibiscus sour, it had just the right amount of sour! I do not like bitter drinks and this one was good and easy to drink. My husband had a couple of dark beers, I do not remember which ones but he liked them. They had a nice outdoor area but it was a bit too cool for that but it may be worth a return in the Spring to check it out. Bathroom was also really cool as the decor and theme spilled over into it. We will be back.

Baseball and a hotdog go hand and hand! We got to the restaurant and searched from the top to the bottom, from the front to the back for the Chili dog and it was nowhere to be found on the menu. The waitress informed us they changed the menu a few months ago. Update the website please!! He was so disappointed that he only ordered fries to eat. I ordered the brunch burger. I love eggs but hate a runny yolk. I informed our server and watched her customized my burger (fry the egg hard please). As soon as the burger arrived, I knew I wasn't going to eat it. There was runny yolk on the side (gag reflex). I informed our waitress who was very apologetic about it. She asked the kitchen and they said they would remake it, but I opted for another burger (le sigh). Because they were so busy and hadn't started making my order, we just decided to pay for our drinks eat somewhere else after the game. The server was great, but our experience wasn't.

There are also picnic tables out front. You get a faint whiff of the grill/smoker upon entering. Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.

The cocktail menu features several cocktail specialties, a deep wine and bourbon menu, some other spirits, and a variety of primarily KY brewed beers. I had a couple of the latter options, and each of my two beers (neither of which I'd had before, a "Stone House" traditional lager and a "Kentucky Commons" low ABV cream ale). Our table split a couple of appetizers--the chili wantons and the spinach dip. Both were good with the slight edge to the wantons as they were fairly unique and very flavorful. The menu is not overwhelming--there are just over a dozen or so primary entree options but each looked very promising. I ended up going with the special, which that night was sea bass on jasmine rice with tomatoes. The sea bass was parmesan encrusted and super flavorful, literally every bite of my meal was on point. Great sauce that wasn't overwhelming, the fish and rice perfectly cooked, the little cherry tomatoes the best I've had all season. My wife had the fish tacos and loved them as well. Service was friendly. For the quality and ingredients, prices were fair. I'd say the drinks are even cheap. Dessert looked great, but none of us had room to try any. It was a rainy night and we were in the basement area, which is covered but doesn't have full enclosure, so it was loud as the rain hit the side covering, but dry and nice overall. We noticed two of the bar areas were empty on our way out, which looked like nice quiet places to meet. There's also the full upstairs dining room which looked nice. Reservations highly recommended.
