Our table of 8 was seated quickly and greeted warmly by our server on a Saturday night. Ordered several appetizers for the table, the KFC, Fried Smelt and Pretzel with the trio of sauces. Great Korean flavor for the cauliflower and the smelt was flaky and fried perfectly golden. The pretzel was plenty and the beer mustard has plenty of kick! Very cool local brewery with and menu with plenty of options for all!

We went here for dinner last night. Overall, it was very good. We sat inside by the window which was nice. My husband ordered a flight of beers so we could try several of them. They were all good. We ordered some Brussel sprouts for an appetizer but they came out with the meal instead. I liked the Brussel sprouts but my husband thought they were over cooked. He ordered the salmon which he liked. I ordered the classic burger. It was very good. I ordered it without onions but it still had onions on it. They were rings so I could pull them off fairly easy. It had a sauce on it that must have had horseradish in it which got me a few times. It must have been in the beer mustard. I like horseradish but something to know just in case you are not a fan because the menu did not call that out. The servers were very friendly, checked on us multiple times, and refilled our drinks. One of the reasons we sat inside was to avoid the bugs outside. As it turned out, we still had a fly at our table the whole time. Not much they could do about that, maybe have a bug zapper somewhere.

    The perfect burger!

Great foodie brewery! Low key setting. Large selection of beer and mixed drinks. It's not just typical food you would associate with a brewery. Started off with fried cauliflower, it was amazing in a sweet and sour type sauce. Finished with a perfectly done hamburger with bacon and shoe string fried onions. Very tasty. Had to order fries to go with. Really cool place with great food.

The food and dining experience at Monnik Beer was absolutely delightful. I had no idea that there was a restaurant/brewery in town with such an expansive menu selection. Hats off to the kitchen staff for cultivating such a delicious assortment of flavors that complement the beer in a perfect blend of flavor and depth. Service was phenomenal and I enjoyed the quaint vibe that comes with the area of Schnitzelburg where Monnik is situated. Will definitely return and plan to tell everyone I know about my experience!

Love this place! I don't go too often, but when I do, I'm never disappointed. I went for a lunch bite and a beer, and left very happy. I got the Bier Burger, which has a juicy burger, beer cheese, as a giant onion ring, with a side of grits-- YUM! plus an ice cold Italian Disco of course. Always helpful and friendly service and staff. It always feels welcoming and comfortable when you're in there, which I love. Highly recommend checking it out!

Apps are $3 until 3. This includes bowls of chili or soup . Definitely home made and absolutely delicious . Nice serving size . Server was friendly and checked to see if we needed anything a lot. There was a small size crowd but it was still relatively quiet . On street parking may be an issue at times but we had no trouble finding a close spot .

I didn't eat any food, only came in for the beer. I will say that they have a nice selection and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their beer

I think Monnik is one of the more unique breweries in town. The cafe-style seating on the street makes for a delightful experience. The inside feels more like a restaurant than a brewery. And on top of that, instead of outsourcing food or relying on pizza, they have a very diverse menu. I have been to Monnik several times, but this was my first time enjoying a meal. I ordered a beer to start, of course, along with a Bier Burger. It's a bit of sticker shock to pay $22 for a burger and fries, but my stomach was very happy. The beer was very solid and the burger was filling. I left feeling pretty satisfied and ready to face the day. I don't make it to this brewery enough because there are ones closer to my house, but I always have a nice time. While I do feel there are better breweries and certainly better restaurants, if you're looking for a place that satisfies a craving for good beer and good food, Monnik is a good choice.

This is my favorite brewery and Pub too. I have often attended for their best beers. Their foods are excellent. However, I have discovered that they had new chef and change the menu. I decided to give a try. I will definitely come back fo3 more menu items to try! I ordcred the fried chicken sandwich. It was top notched I ever had. It is not too spicy. It is just the right amount of spicy. The chicken was moist and the breading was good. I wish I could order different side but I was in mood for fries. I saw one item that I am curious to try was Koren Fries Cauliflower. Thats the reason I will come back to try it. Come and try this fabulous Chef Wes's menu!

Very dimly let inside, but gave a retro trendy vibe. Servers were really nice and the service was good. Unfortunately the food was very bland. Not much flavor at all. The burger tasted like plain hamburger meat and the fries were the same. The "pretzel" was more like a fluffy breadstick. Definitely could see the potential, but doubt I'd be back. Expensive for what it is too.

Kylie was our bartender and she was fabulous - knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all of our questions with patience. Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.

I went with the Death Penalty to chase a little heat, although the name is more menacing than the bit. This isn't a mouth scorching, heartburn inducing culinary dare, but quite simply a perfectly delivered burger with toppings that work well together to deliver a robust flavor with a nice touch of heat. Being my first time in Kentucky I asked for a recommendation for a nice shot of bourbon to sip while I waited for my meal, with the caveats that I'd like for it to be from a lesser known, small distiller and under $25 for the drink. He delivered with a shot of Minor Case Straight Rye Whiskey that has a sherry cask finish from Limestone Branch Distillery. It was smooth with no bite and a nice linger. Three solid hits between the burger, bourbon and bartender - would definitely recommend.
