Came here today, second time ever being here. Day before Halloween and the staff was dressed up, definitely a cute touch. Our server seemed nice, though we only saw her once during the duration of our stay. The food-- I ordered their nachos (with added chicken +$3) and a side of waffle fries ($4). The nachos were OK. Not the best really, too much leafy lettuce on it for my liking. And the add on of chicken I was pretty disappointed with. It was just chunks of white meat, with NO seasoning at all. Think white as a ghost. Will definitely skip it next time. The waffle fries though, SO good. My daughter had the kid's macaroni and cheese with fries and she loved it. Then again though she's 4 and you can't really go wrong with that as your food choice! Her dad ordered the Mozz Burger and ate the entire thing.....safe to say he loved it! Over priced food. Way over priced bowling. Very small game selection and then half of them are broken. Young college students working in the place could not possible care less about patrons. They stand around and just talk or sit on their phones. .25 cent Sunday on limited games is the only half decent thing about the place. Other than that don't waste your time. read more

Pinz is probably the best thing to happen for the Hampshire mall. It definitely brings some life into something quite dead. They have small arcade area right before the bowling area which is always cool to walk around in. I don't go bowling that often but I feel like the bowling prices per game were a bit more expensive than an usual bowling alley. The place itself just has a modern vibe to it which I like. As for the bowling aspect, the lanes seem kind of weird. It seems a bit smaller usual and doesn't seem conpletely flat but somehow, it made it seem less likely to get a gutter ball but at the same time, also made it hard to get strikes. Checked out this arcade with some family on Easter. It was pretty empty because of the holiday. We enjoyed their Easter promo- find an Easter egg and exchange it for a spin at a prize wheel. We won a $15 gift card and free bowling for 2 adults. The only problem was I kept seeing these eggs but we didn't know what they were there for. No one told us when we talked to the greeter at the entrance. Luckily another family told us. We mostly played the DC comics coin pusher game, skeet ball, and the crane machines. The coin pusher game was super fun and really addictive. The crane machines were a bit harder to win than some others I have played, but after 3 tries at 1 I won. There were two I gave up on because the cranes were too weak. We ended up with 1600 tickets and I thought the prizes were reasonable especially for kids, most small toys were 150-300 tickets though I thought they should have had more smaller rocket candy options, they just had tootsie roll pops. There were a couple machines out of order but they just didn't work- we didn't lose money on them. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Idk about the food, bowling, or ax throwing because we didn't do that. Also I saw they have promos on Sunday nights, 25 cent games which is awesome- though not sure it covers all games. read more

If I could give absolute zero stars I would. This review is well worth the read. Came here for bowling, we were given shoes that were falling apart and not even usable. Once we got to the lanes the stopper on our lane was broken and the balls were coming out way too fast. My boyfriend had to stop the ball while his 2 year old niece was going to grab one and it made his knuckle start swelling instantly. The dumb ass that was walking around taking orders came over to us to ask how things were going and all we did was say how the stopper was broken and had her observe how fast they were coming out and that his knuckle was swollen, she was not given attitude; she in turn said with super attitude "you can take that up with a manager not someone like me" rolled her eyes and walked away. Why she had to respond like that who the fuck knows. I work in customer service and she was the absolute epitome of what not to be. My boyfriend went over to the front desk and told the manager about the lane situation and how if it was his nieces hand it would've been shattered, the manager without question understood the concern and issued a full refund. We were only 5 frames in and we stopped bowling. The waitress came over for the first time since giving us attitude and dropped the receipt, my boyfriend said right then he was not paying for that and we were leaving. The manager had heard this since he came over to see the lane issue and had no problem with us not paying. The pitcher was still half full and he clearly knows how to treat customers once they're already upset. We made it about 5 steps out into the mall and the waitress came FOLLOWING US OUT confronting us about the $17 pitcher and asked if we were the table that just walked out without paying, again with major attitude and my boyfriend responded with "yeah I'm not paying for that" she immediately got loud with us and started an argument in the middle of the mall, and said "you have no looks to be talking like that" to which I got involved and started getting loud back because who the fuck are you? She continued to scream in our faces until 2 of her coworkers came out to separate her from us and apologize for her actions. Which didn't solve anything because she continued to scream at us. I work at a store in customer service where people steal HUNDREDS of dollars of product. We are not ever allowed to follow a customer out let alone cause a scene under any circumstance. I've never been treated so poorly, she better get fired after this. Even the manager came out to tell her this was already taken care of. So her actions were completely unnecessary. We were planning on spending quite the amount of money here until the ass hole customer service had to kick in and it turmoiled our whole experience. If you ever want to go bowling do yourself a favor and go to AMF, shaker bowl, or round 1; you'll be guaranteed to have a better experience than this sad ass establishment. Most of what I experianced has been summed up in previous reviews. But, here we go again: Loud. The sound booms and reflects off hard surfaces. The music in the bar area is turned up high, causing background conversation to swell. The whole experience is more that of a pep-rally than a dinner out. Better volume and some well placed acoustic treatments would go far here. It is nearly painful to walk in through the game room. The volume on all the consoles is deafening. The food. It was OK. But, JUST ok. The quality and presentation were basic. Most of the food had very little spice. The mild buffalo wings were pretty mild... Not too shocking, tho they were described as "hotter than the usual mild wings." Vegetables were cooked frozen veggies. Nothing seasonal, local, or inspiring. It certainly wasn't the worst food ever, but honestly when the best I can say is that I can eat it, it's not the greatest, either. I imagine a big Sysco truck pulls up there a few times a week. Please please please stop putting straws in water glasses by default. If someone orders it with a straw, or asks for one after, sure, give it to them... But that's just wasteful and environmentally unconscionable. The bowling. We didn't get to. We had actually headed over to bowl, more than anything, but when we got there the whole alley had been booked for a private party, and wasn't going to be free. I had seen a face book ad that they had special prices on bowling on Wednesday nights, so we were looking forward to it. We tried to wait it out in the bar, and get some food, but we lost interest after the whole experience. The Help: This was the best part of the whole trip. We were greeted warmly, and each staff member we had the chance to interact with was lovely. Front of the house is doing it well. And in a place like this, I'd say that's no easy thing. Overall it was about $40 for an order of wings, a stirfry, a basket of tots, and a cider. Not too terrible... But, I'd be happy if the food were a bit better for that cost. read more

Please take into consideration that when you read this review, I was sitting at the bar, with a friend who I don't see but every two or three weeks. We live locally and on Monday, there are not a lot of places open. So this was what we choose. This would be our second visit. I didn't have a great experience on the first visit, but I give everyone a second chance. We were the only two people at the bar and there were only 2 other booths occupied. The service at the bar was great. I ordered a chicken sandwich and an order of fired. Delivery time was fairly short as I would have expected ince there were so few people there. That said, my chicken sandwich and fires were not as hot as I would have expected, my friend remarked the same. We plodded on. Half way through dinner, someone opted to use the establishments axe throwing area. You throw an axe at a bullseye made of wood. The problem is it's pretty loud. How loud? Just short of the sound of a 12 gauge shotgun going off at the same distance. It's quite loud. Too loud to have a decent conversation at the bar. I suppose if they had 100 people in the bar and music blaring, it wouldn't have been bad, but that wasn't the case. This is probably the worst Pinz location I've been to. Waiter who started a tab for us kept our card in his wallet. When we went to close out he pulled our card out of his personal wallet?? We thought cards used for tabs were stored behind the bar but our waiter had it in his personal wallet? How is that safe/protecting my card information? Female bartender was rude and lied about beer prices. She would say a seltzer was $5 then charged us $9 for a seltzer. If I knew a Truly was $9 I wouldn't have bought it. Didn't know until she ran my card. Never will come back. Feel like I got scammed the entire time I was here. **Update: just as we expected our card had some unrecognized transactions after going to Pinz on Sunday on it so we had to cancel our debit card. read more

My family loves this place as do I. Food is good and the beer selection is great. The arcade isn't a full blown arcade but it has plenty to keep you busy. My only negative is the wait staff. We usually go on weeknights to avoid a crowd so I get it to an extent. However, a beer shouldn't take 10 min to get while the bartender is sitting around with a phone in her face. First off, the arcade was incredibly expensive. $1 for skeeball is a bit much and they don't provide many tickets. Most of the games were $1.50 on up. To back up what another reviewer said, sure the pac-man is huge but $1.50 is really too expensive. As far as the food goes, the lack of chicken or vegetarian options for burgers was incredibly disappointing, as I do not eat beef. My husband and daughter, who do eat beef, got burgers that were very sloppy and hard to eat. They wound up needing to use a fork. The tater tots were undersalted and lacked flavor. I got the Mojo Chicken Sandwich, which was also sloppy and difficult to eat, and they failed to put the addon (fried jalapenos) that I requested but still charged me. I was very sad at this experience, as I have been looking forward to Pinz coming to the Hampshire Mall for a couple months now. read more

Decided to try out Pinz with my husband for our date night, we thought some arcade games, a round of bowling would be a fun way to spend the night. It would have.... if we could have gotten some service. The entire staff seemed far more interested in their personal conversations then the customers. When we entered the arcade the two girls at the counter didn't even acknowledge us. We walked past them and went to the back counter to be seated for dinner. We had waited about 5 minutes before our servers came over (our waitress was training someone) I had asked what they had to drink that was nonalcoholic as the only drinks on the menu were alcoholic ones. She rolled her eyes at me and just said Pepsi products.... I'm sorry, I don't normally drink soda so I am not sure what the line up is of Pepsi products... it was clear she was annoyed we weren't drinking. While yes, I understand drinks bring up the bill and thus her tip- so does being polite. After she said this, they just walked away. We didn't get to order our drinks... we didn't get to order our food. I thought, maybe she's giving us time. Well 10 minutes later, and they are still not back. They are at the end of the bar chatting with the other staff. The only customers in the whole place was one other couple and two guys at the bar. We decided to get up and go, and in a snide tone someone from the jumbled group shouted "have a nice night." Due to the rude crappy service we decided to not play in the arcade or bowl. Edited to reply- I'm not sure how many more details can be given... I was very thorough. I did not speak to a manager as that would have required me to interrupt the staffs gathering of chatter, which was extremely awkward and made the environment uncomfortable. We went there for the second time with our kids. I'll start with the first time: The games, overpriced. The food: First off, it didn't all come out at once. My daughter's pizza came out, a few moments later my sons sliders came out. My wifes under flavored wings then came out a couple of minutes later. I'm still waiting for my burger at this point. Now one Manager, two wait staff and ten minutes later, still waiting. Finally and several apologies later it finally comes. The bun was cold to the touch. Not room temperature but cold. The burger itself was luke warm at best. Now comes the onion rings. Room temperature and clumped together. So I pull them a part to take a bite. As fast as the bite entered my mouth it exited with me spitting it out. I look and the breading/dough is RAW. Our waitress comes over to the table to check on things. I explain to her that I know the poor quality food is not her fault, but I express my displeasure with the quality of the food and the rate that it came out. She is very apologetic and takes the burger off the bill. Visit number 2. My wife asks me to meet her and the kids there after work. I arrive, they are playing games. She asks me to get a table. I go to the hostess to see how long the wait was. She said that there was no wait, but she would be back with me. She leaves for a few moments, then comes back and said one more minute, she disappears. Now a manager comes over, asks if he can help me. I tell him I'd like a like a table, he seats us. Our waitress, (Taylor B) comes over, very friendly and attentive. Gives us menus and takes our drink order. She brings our drinks and takes our food order. A short time later the food comes out. The kids pizza is fine as are the fries. We got a side order of their beer cheese sauce for the fries. The cheese sauce was warm but not to the temp it should, it was grainy and lumpy. Our nachos, ($15) were a pile of chips with shredded cheese on top. It was melted but again not cheesy like nachos should be and again only room temperature. The cheese was dumped in a pile on top and not layered. Huge waste of $15. People tell me is because it's new. I don't buy that considering they have two other locations. I would like to think with this being their third location, they'd have their Sh*t together at this point. read more

Terrible experience. The manager of this establishment was so full of himself and refused to refund us for food we never received. Our organization spent roughly $2,000 at this establishment and the manager didn't have the decency to give us a refund for food they never brought out for us. Extremely dissatisfied. Our organization has done dozens of events of this magnitude at different establishments and we have never ran into a problem like we did tonight. Probably lost close to $200. read more

Note- this review covers the food and a walkthrough of the arcade only. I didn't play any games or see the bowling alley at all. A friend and I decided to drop in here after a movie. Because it's in the mall, we weren't expecting much. The arcade is bright and colorful, and looks inviting. The games are more than a bit pricey. The Pac-Man game costs $1.50. Even if it's one of the novelty huge LED light Pac-Man games, that's a rip-off. The air hockey is $1.30. Mostly, there, I was just amazed to see an arcade game that didn't charge in multiples of 25 cents. We sat in the restaurant, which has some nice styling. Filament light bulbs, tables patterned to look like wood (I was fooled for a minute). A very positive point of the restaurant is that the tables are very pleasantly spaced out. They could have fit in more seating, but didn't cramp things together. I really appreciated this. Downsides- the place is exceptionally loud. I know it's right beneath Interskate 91, but that kind of volume is just unnecessary. We had to shout to talk. The lyrics to Ice Ice Baby are printed in decals across the air conditioning vent, and it felt like base-level punnery. Also the seating extends to the cafe area in a fenced-in "outside" seating section. This is a personal preference thing, but it felt like a zoo. I'd never want to be seated there, myself, on display for people to walk by and look at. At present, the only other review for Pinz lists that the food is "surprisingly good." I have to agree! We got the spaghetti and meatballs, fried pickles and some sort of wrap with tater tots. Everything was good. The spaghetti, in particular, hit a craving in me I've had for a year or two now. The sauce was spicy, there was a heat to it, and the meatballs tasted like they weren't just an afterthought like in most places. The pickles were delicious. My friend enjoyed her tots and wrap (I didn't try either). You'd be forgiven for looking at Pinz and thinking they were serving Buffalo Wild Wings-esque microwaved frozen food, but this doesn't seem to be the case. I'm eager to try more. read more

The place is beautiful and very clean. The staff is friendly and the food is surprisingly good. I did not hit the bar. The Bowling aspect of the place needs some help. The computers are off so if you hit a pin that hits another you only get counted for the first. It's not an improvement on the old invention. They have some great games for all ages and the prises are not all horrible but like many places make you spend $200 on games to get enough points to buys something at Target for $20. Of course Target is literally down the hall from this place so play for fun then go buy the RC helicopter after and tell your kid he/she won. I did. read more

We waited forever to be seated with an empty restaurant then I asked for crayons or something for our child to draw with and was told they don't have anything so I asked for a pen and was given so much attitude . Our waitress came over introduced herself and told my child his paper menu was not for drawing and then said whatever I can just throw it away with attitude I have never been treated so horrible in the first five minutes of being in a family place. I have a love hate relationship with pinz. It's arcade is great the bowling is great but the problem is the restaurant. It's sounds like your eating at a chucky-cheese that's under attack. I can't imagine going in there to eat with ptsd or sensory issues or if you simply don't wanna jump out of your skin when a axe throw sounds off. Speaking of the axe throwing they don't give you any safety glasses or gloves but they do suggest you wear closed shorts. One of the axe throwing rules is don't throw if someone else is picking up an axe. The employee threw an axe while I was picking mine up so.... yah. We had my daughter's birthday party here, it was 10 kids (age 3-5) and an equal amount of adults. The whole event went smoothly and the staff (Eric and Chris) were incredibly helpful and attentive during the event, they checked in and didn't make us feel like a burden (which I've found some places really do). I get that I am not the target audience for a place like this as an avid bowler but I thought since arriving in the Hadley area I'd give this chain a shot. I was not expecting much but was disappointed by lanes and bowling experience in general. It was my failure to listen to others recommending more mom and pop bowling alleys however it was Pinz that had dry lanes at the end of the day. Not only that but they did not have enough space for the run-up to the foul line. Thanks for the bowling but I will bring my money to a different place next time for bowling. read more

A very fun place to go with friends and family! There are many different arcade games and there's even a bowling alley. The arcade, however is a bit pricey. Some games are more than $1.50 per game. Pretty pricey games. There are much better options very close by. I was there today with my son. Games were ok place was clean. I waited quite a while to get seated into the restaurant. After finally getting seated. It took well over ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. after 15 minutes we left and someone finally approached us. I had waited long enough and left. The Pizza restaurant across the Mall, very promptly seated us and took care of us. There was plenty of staff on at Pinz. Not a single person approached our table. As soon as you walk in the restaurant it's so loud you have to shout to hear the person your with..have to say food was good but customer service is terrible..we had Taylor as our waitress and she never came over except to drop food off..didn't bother checking in to see if app was ok or when are dinner came never saw her again except when she brought the check..they have a lot to learn about customer service skills..I'll be going elsewhere..you want good food, drinks, fun and oh ya good customer service go to Dave and Busters read more
