I tried Westwood again hoping for a better experience. Once again disappointed. Waitress had no personality. Ribeye was not tender with more fat and grizzle than meat. Not to mention not hot. Mashed potatoes were very tasty but at room temperature. Broccoli and rice cold, I asked for sautéed spinach with no garlic , full of garlic. We ordered the large Caesar salad, came with the dressing came on the side, which then had to go back to have the dressing tossed in the salad. Normally, the salad would come before the meal. It came with the meal. Our server never asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. She just left the check on the table. I do not understand why food cannot come out of the kitchen hot, especially when the restaurant had about 8 customers. read more

What a nice evening we had here. They had such beautiful decorations up. Felt like Christmas/Valentines. It made it feel warm and welcoming. There was 4 of us for dinner. Our waitress was super friendly and accommodating. Two of us got the lamb burger with whipped Brie. Wow! So delicious! I'll be dreaming of that sandwich. Two others split the chicken franchaise. I have been going to the Westwood for years. However, I was very disappointed by my last visit. The service was excellent. My wife and I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and responded well to my food allergy. The food was very tasty. However, I ordered their steak and cheese grinder. The flavor was great. The problem was with the portion size. It was the smallest steak and cheese grinder I have ever seen. It would have been better served as an appetizer. And that still would have been fine if they were not charging $20 for this tiny sandwich. I could go anywhere in town and for much less money get a comparable grinder that would fill me up. After finishing the grinder and cole slaw I paid, left the Westwood, went to Stop and Shop and bought food so that I could go home and cook myself dinner. read more

Enjoyed dinner here on a Saturday night. What a huge place with a fabulous very long bar with dark woods. We enjoyed sitting at the roomy bar & bartenders were helpful & friendly. I got the spinach artichoke dip with a mix of tortilla chips & pita. It was good & a large portion. My martini was made perfectly & was cold & delish. My husband had a chicken sandwich which he enjoyed very much with a basic side salad. We ended our meal with a pistachio dessert which was great! You pay for the golden nozzles in the rest rooms. The shot pour is the worst I have ever seen. At 9.25 a shot it should a much better pour. Service was great, but food was terrible and I get scammed. I accidently order off kids menu and they charge double if you do, but it's no where on the menu. Spinach Dip was great, but fries are nasty. Ambiance is what you are paying for... Most likely never going back as I got sick on way home. Although I did see alot of good food go by, I may have ordered the worst thing on the menu. We ate lunch at the bar on a Saturday. The bartender was amazing- friendly and attentive. The menu had a lot of upscale bar food and nice salads and entrees plus burgers and sandwiches. I had the chicken parm sandwich. It was disappointing. The sauce tasted of nothing but tomato and the chicken looked like a breaded chicken patty. The appetizers here were really good! I liked the pretzels but wish there was a bit more to them. Fried pickles were good and plentiful. We each got burgers which were good; however, the fries were almost too "battered" for me. From old pictures, it looks like I would have preferred their fries a year ago. My husband really liked the Parmesan fries though. The atmosphere was very true to bar / pub with dim lighting and a lot of a high top tables. Server was super nice. read more

Had a wonderful time at The Westwood this past weekend! Their chicken wings were meaty and super crispy! I had the dry rub which was super flavorful! My husband had the soft pretzel. It was huge!! And very good! We shared a roast beef sandwich. Piled high with med rare, juicy fresh roast beef, it was amazing! I also had a cucumber basil martini that was out of this world! Service was superb! Lunch here on Tuesday with office staff. Very impressed walking in. LOVE the decor of a reclaimed factory. I'm from out of town, but heard this building was an envelope company years ago. All four of us ordered a salad of some sort and none of us left hungry. Generous portions. I also added a cup of chili which was VERY good. Service was spot on also. Had to give them 5 stars because I really could find anything about the visit I didn't like. They have tons of seating so can accommodate large groups. Both booths, tables and high top tables available.they can also host large parties like birthday parties, wedding showers, etc. When I'm back in town I would like to try dinner here. The food was excellent and the service super friendly and helpful. I wish I had taken photos. It was a dreary, cold, wet day. I got the New England clam chowder and it hit the spot. The maple cheddar burger has got to be one of the best burgers I've ever had. I was absolutely stuffed, but, the dessert menu was loaded with delicious looking items, so I couldn't pass it up. We all took our desserts to go.I got the butter toffee cake and oh my god, fabulous. The waitress even wrote the heating instructions on the to-go container. I'd love to have her again.
