Showed up at our pickup time and was told our food was given away to another customer by accident. Although my full name was listed on the receipt, I can understand that it was just an honest mistake. We were then asked to wait awhile for them to remake the pizza but turns out they later realized they did in fact have the original (now cold) pizza ready to go the entire time. Normally, I would rate this place a 5. Last night when we went, we ordered a large half cheese and half pepperoni pizza. When it came it appeared to be undercooked. We asked the server to please take it back and cook it longer. After going to the kitchen she said the cooks could not do that and ensured it was cooked to perfection. TJ Banning (the owner of this location along with others) gave no one a notice that everyone at the Mendota location would be be losing their jobs. People had come into work and started to prep for their shift when they were sent home and told that the business is closed. Instead of having a meeting and informing staff members, he decided to make a Facebook post telling everyone he'd be mailing their checks. Then a post was immediately made to the public and then turned off comments on their post and deleted all negative ones that made them look bad. Since it's strictly a financial decision that affected many people's livelihood, I'm asking that you reconsider giving this average tasting and over priced pizza restaurant your money. He struggled since Covid and couldn't financially recover so instead of communicating that with anyone in the Mendota location he closed without notice. In this economy he left countless families unable to know where their source of income was going to come from to be able to pay their bills. UNPROFESSIONAL. We order pizza almost every Friday night from the Yorkville location and my husband always picks it up on his way home from work. This past week was terrible. Dough Nuggets were not the usual 1 or 2". They were 4 or 5" and very greasy. Grease covered the container, the bag and the pizza box! They were terrible. I threw them out. We live close to this Rosati's, so we order from here fairly often, and I haven't been very impressed by the food, service, or cost of most of the things they have on the menu. We generally order mozzarella sticks which are 6 in an order. They're better than buying frozen in store, but they aren't the best I've ever had, not even close. For 6 mozzarella sticks, it's $10. Not worth it. I made them from scratch the other day just to see how hard it would be. The ingredients didn't even total $10, I was able to make and freeze about 24 cheese sticks, and deep fried a few just to see if they would measure up to the $10 Rosati's ones. They were on par and wayyy cheaper. Can't recommend that. Then their pizza is also not the best I've had. They use too much thick corn meal on the bottom making it messy in more ways that one when trying to eat it. The cheese and most ingredients used are usually tasty and seem fresh. People working at the pick-up counter never seem that happy to be there and don't seem to understand how to greet people or acknowledge that they're there and waiting to be helped. I'd stop ordering from there if they weren't the best option within 10 miles of our house. But they're alright if you have $50 to blow on a large pizza and mediocre cheese sticks. read more

The fried pickles are heavily covered in the fried crust-- way to much to enjoy the appetizer. The fried pickle appetizer initially looks like fried mozzarella balls. I half expected to open it up to gooey melted cheese. Instead it was a game of "find the pickle" which I didn't enjoy. This is a solid 4 stars. I have been coming here for years, usually just for a slice of pizza and would watch sports during my lunch break. Perfect combo. The restaurant is always clean and never ran into en employee that didn't seem happy to work there. That's a huge plus I just ordered a large deliver order for work yesterday. I called before business hours and they were able to get the delivery to us just after 11 and it was piping hot. Very impressed with the quality and time it took to get the order to us, correctly. The pizza is great quality as well. I still prefer their slices of hand tossed dough and their specialty slices but you can still never go wrong with their thin crust read more

Rosati's is one of those places that you know you can rely on. I grew up eating their delicious pizza from the Aurora location, and Yorkville definitely doesn't disappoint either. The service is pretty friendly and fast. The food is, well, amazing. Rosati's makes Pizza Hut look like the Taco Bell of pizza chains (no hate for either! just not authentic). Don't think pizza is their only strength, though. They offer up quite a few tasty pasta dinners, generously portioned and moderately priced. They also have a good selection of sandwiches, other entrees, and sides. They don't skimp on toppings, and promise me when I say you're likely to fall in love at first bite. Their beef is really good. They have the Cheef too for all the cheese lovers. Their thin crust pizza is great, and I'm not usually a fan. If you're looking for a hearty pizza that will leave you feeling like you can't eat another bite -- when there's still so much left! -- try the stuffed pizza (with pepperoni, mmmm..). It's absolutely the most amazing thing I've ever had in my mouth. Grab a fork if you're a pizza pansy. You can pretty much customize your pizza however you want. Want barbecue sauce instead? Concur with prior review: The place is definitely clique-ish - and so are the bartenders. We've only eaten at or in the bar area and whenever service is needed, we're almost apologizing for interrupting service workers for help. Haven't tried their pizza, but their other food selections are OK. Our choice only as 'last resort' when in this vicinity. I am changing my star rating and adding this Post Script to my prior review: We have noticed that the size portions of their deluxe sandwiches continue to shrink more and more - noticed in the meatball sandwich and their beef sandwich "Chief" and their french fries orders -- these sandwiches were almost twice the size they are now when they first opened in Yorkville! I really love the convenience of this Rosatis location in Yorkville, right off the bus my streets of 47 and 34. Makes for an easy dinner plan on your way home from work! The pizza and wings are amazing as like every Rosati's location, but if you're gonna stop for a drink, be sure you have some extra time. The bar gets a little crowded which means you don't get as much customer service action, but when you do get to speak with the bartender it's always a good talk and they treat you very well!
