Best pub grub! Amazing specials too! I have been 3-4 times now and wish they'd open one further east. My favorite night to go is Thursday. Their selection of "gourmet" burgers, usually $16 for $9 can't be beat. The burgers are huge and the meat is high-quality. I'm always surprised that the place is not jampacked. They have specials every night and they all look like they're worth a try. Even the substitute of a side salad is generous with little strips of tortilla and cheese. Had a great lunch here! We had tacos (steak for me, shrimp for him), grilled cheese, and sweet potato fries. Everything was cooked well. A little on the bland side, but the salsa that came with the tacos fixed mine right up. The grilled cheese was missing something, but it wasn't bad. Everything was filling and tasted fresh. I'm leaning more to a 3.5 rating but I'm rounding up because we liked the vibe of the restaurant and the service was good. Overall, we agreed it was a good lunch option to return to. read more

While patiently waiting for a drink from Manny for over 10 minutes, mind you two managers walked by with zero acknowledgment... I had two drinks, ordered soup and ate my soup. No one next to me the entire time, nor did anyone come sit next to me at any time. I ordered food, still alone... Two new customers wanted to sit and eat. Manny, acknowledged them right away and said they could not sit or order food because the seats were taken. No one had been there, ordered there or sat there the entire time of my visit. The way the manager Andy and this person Manny handled the situation was disrespectful. The way people feel entitled to a tip and to treat us customers like we are disposable, is disgusting. I ordered a pineapple margarita, and it came in what appeared to be a large water glass. Mixed and not frozen, costing me $14! My burger was flavorful, and its ingredients were fresh. Moving to Yorkville from out of town 2+ years ago Legends became and continues to be one of my wife and I's favorite spots. Their food is always good and definitely not overpriced. They have great wings and shrimp, great Sammie's and more. Our personal favorites though are the flatbread pizzas. You can't beat them for freshness, size, and flavor for a low price. Just as important as the food quality and price for us is the service. At Legends it's always friendly and welcoming. Whether you want to sit at the bar and chat while you eat and drink or you're at a table, you'll always find a friendly face to tend to your needs with a genuine smile. Recent renovations, while seemingly unnecessary to us, look very sharp. The new host/ hostess stand was a nice an especially nice addition. This is a great place to relax outside while you eat and enjoy a cold beverage or beverage of choice, or a great place to do the same while watching the game. Lastly, we have a 10 month old boy who loved sitting in their high chair at the table with us. They have quality chairs with sturdy high backs for a regular table as well as their high tops. Our little guy loved sitting at table level and he thoroughly enjoyed the cheese curds which are pretty epic and a must order to start every meal we have at Legends. Bottom line, take your family, even your babies. Sit down. Enjoy a great meal at a great price in a great atmosphere. Did I mention it's just down the road from Target and other nice shopping spots? My family thought we would check out the new remodel! We've always had great service and food. Tonight was not good. Yes, they were busy. However, our waiter, who was unfortunately training a new server, was horrible. Bad sense of humor and did not write down or use his POS Toast system while taking our order. He then forgets part of our order and has to ask us again. The food comes out after a prolonged period of time 50 minutes! My onion rings are cold and we don't receive our side of fries. The chips for the chips and salsa are extremely salty. We were up-charged for our wings (which we questioned prior to ordering) and charged for a sauce that took 15 minutes to get. Put all that aside, I spoke with the manager, expressing our concerns. Perhaps they opened back up too early before they were fully staffed? Perhaps servers needed more training? The manager simply apologized. No reduction in our bill. I gave him an opportunity to make things right before posting this review. It just shows the almighty dollar ($190 in our case) is more important than customer service. I do not recommend!! Save your money and your time!! read more

I had been here once before prior to Covid and I can't say I was impressed or dissatisfied. Decided to stop there for dinner tonight and I'm glad we did. We walked in and were a bit confused as there was no host so we just stood there wondering if we should seat ourselves or keep standing there. As we proceeded to walk we were finally greeted. We asked to sit outside, we waited a few minutes and the server came over with menus and another server who we assumed was shadowing her. She took our drink order. We hadn't gotten a chance to look over the menu but she did tell us what drinks they had. We ordered the Bahama mama. Drinks didn't come very quickly but that's ok, gave us time to look over the menu. They offer appetizers, burgers, flatbreads and salads. Drinks arrived and our order was taken. Drink was not bad. We ordered a southwest roll appetizer and it came out fairly quickly. We weren't given plates, napkins or utensils though. We had to ask. I got the chicken pesto sandwich with fries. Sandwich was very good. The pesto had a nice flavor and the chicken was tasty and not dry. My husband got the steak sandwich and he said it was good. Service could have been better, we sat a while without drink refills and no one really checked up on us. Won't hold that against them though. Haven't been in a long time. Decided to have dinner. Ordered the ribeye steak sandwich with onion rings. So let me say the steak was cooked medium like I like. Piled with mushrooms and grilled onion. I added pepper Jack cheese. They forgot the most important part of the steak. The flavor. It was by far the blandest steak sandwich I have ever ate. I mean it tasted like nothing. The meat was just that. The mushroom and onions so bland. The bread was ok. The steak it self was very chewy and when I got to the 3/4 mark it was all fat. I hope they check the quality of the steak better next time. I mean I did pay 26 for my meal. So I would hope it would be a better cut and some flavor. read more

First, I would like to say that my family and I have been going to Legends since we moved into the area in 2012. We have loved, the food, the service and the atmosphere until yesterday. My husband and I went grab a bite to eat around 6:45 pm. The location was not busy and only had a few tables occupied when we arrived. We were seated quickly by the hostess and our server came by to take our drink order pretty promptly. She was personable and seemed to be a bit intoxicated. She took our order - my husband ordered a burger and I ordered, what I normally do, chicken Philly on a gluten free wrap. When she took my order and she repeated it back, it didn't sound right but she promised it would be. Fast forward to our food coming out - my husband's was correct and mine of course was wrong. I explained to her exactly what I wanted and told her only chicken, cheese, onions and peppers. She takes it back and remade the exact same thing...wrong. I asked another waitress if she knew what I was asking for and said OMG yes I know what you want. Took my food back to the back. Our waitress came back out and said that kitchen kept getting it wrong and it should be up soon. Need to mention my husband had his food already while mine still hadn't come out correct. I thought for sure that the third time it was coming out it was going to be right and it was the SAME thing being delivered to me. I asked her if lettuce and tomatoes are supposed to come on a Philly because if that's the case their menu needs to be updated. At this point, my husband's food had been sitting thru for 30 minutes while she attempted to get my order correct. Which the last time was the last time I was going to wait for the wrong thing to be delivered. I asked her to take it off, give us a box and the check for my husband's food. BTW didn't take anything off for the inconvenience of not getting to eat dinner or anything. Could it be that she was intoxicated and couldn't figure out how to put my order in on her Toast machine? The manager sat in the back corner of the bar on his laptop eating his food and watched mine go back 3 times and NEVER came over to talk to us. Needless to say, the place that my family and I have been going to for over a decade has unfortunately let us down. I cannot say that I will never go back but it will be quite awhile before trying again. Lastly, with how expensive everything is in the world please, as previously working in the service industry, listen to your what your customers are asking for. Dry Rub Original wings, I think are the best tasting plain wings that I have ever had, and trust me I eat a lot of wings! They are always super hot and fresh as I don't know what. Their drinks are delicious as well! Priced cheap and to perfection. The female servers here are all always extremely nice and very attentive to our needs. Stopped for some drinks and lunch before the holidays. The wings and shrimp were great. The issue mainly was with the service and drinks.. Someone in our party ordered a house cocktail, and it tasted off. No one at our table liked it. So, we asked our server if the bar tender could swap this with a vodka sprite instead. She took the cocktail (which was close to full) from our table to talk to the bartender. She returned with the vodka sprite but then still informed us that we had to pay for both drinks. Since she removed the cocktail from the table, I was expecting that we'd pay for one of the drinks. If she was still going to charge for both, then she should have left the drink at the table. read more

As I arrived for my carry out order on the time I was told to pick up, I gave my name and she said it will take a minute. She was pleasant however she didn't check. A couple came in so she seated them first. While I was standing next to her hostess podium she took time (over 5 minutes), to discuss with the manager on who will have what section as far as the waiting staff goes. She then went to the kitchen only to return with empty hands. When I asked her about my order again she said "oops I forgot the reason I went in the kitchen". When a restaurant updates, you would think they would be better than before. This is not the case with his restaurant. My family of 4 went in on a Wednesday night and waiting 10-15 minutes before our server even came over to our table. From that point on we waited over an hour for our food to come out. When we got our food a couple of the items were cold therefore having to wait longer to eat due to the kitchens mistakes. The serve was not very attentive to our table and we waited an extensive period of time for anything to be brought to our table/ order to be put in. Once the bill was brought out there were charges that our server said that we would not be charged for. Ex, we asked if there would be an up charge on the only flat wings and he said no but then there was a $3 charge for them. You would think that the server would know what extra charges are going to be and how much things are. We spoke to the manager and all he did was make up excuses for why they weren't doing well and didn't bother to offer any discount on our meal we waited almost 2 hours for. I feel as though a lot of training and bits and pieces need to be worked on for this business to survive. Definitely was way better before the remodel. They grew way too fast & did not prepare themselves for this growth. After this visit I definitely would not go back due to the poor service. Used to love this place and the service was amazing but I can't say i'll go again. Very disappointing. read more

The waitress was nice, food was decent to good. My burger had all of the veggies and cheese but no other condiments like it showed on the menu. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time. 45 minutes later we got our food. My wife didn't get to eat but a few bites and had to get to her next patient. I stayed to finish. I was there for an hour total and not once were we offered drink refills, napkins, anything. The waitress came by 2Xs. Once after we'd been there for 5 minutes with our full water glasses asking if everything was okay..? Then when she dropped the food off with the check because as she was going outside we stopped to ask (40 minutes in) how much longer the food would be because my wife had to get back to work. After she left I looked around several times for our waitress. I saw her on the other side of the room talking to 2 other employees laughing and socializing. I hoped to get a chance to wave her over but she never faced in my direction. I had to go to the bar to get a drink refill. That was after I finished what my wife had left in her glass. The waitress saw me at the bar and just smiled at me. She didn't say a word. 5 minutes later she came by to pick up dirty dishes and said she thought I'd left with my wife. She had other customers right next to me and the place was mostly empty anyway. All she had to do was look over. She blamed everything on the cook being new. I didn't know the cook waited tables. I just feel bad for the people who came in after us. I wanted to say something to them but decided not to. Recently we've had 2 bad experiences here and 1 good experience. I don't know if we'll be back. Once you get an atmosphere or environment of laziness or disrespect for the customers, you know, the people who pay to keep the business in business, it sometimes never gets fixed. There have been plenty of restaurants in the area come and go. This is exactly why. It's because the owners don't see it and they take the word of the managers who are enabling this behavior. Sometimes you just have to start from scratch. There's a lot of potential here. It's a good menu and comfortable atmosphere but the employees are killing it. This place should be at least 4 stars and it's barely 3 1/2. We'll see how long it lasts. You don't have to micromanage but you have to be hands on enough to make sure these things don't happen. Far less than half full on a Friday lunch break is kind of pitiful. read more

I've been going to legends for many years, and lately my experiences have been negative. I placed a carry out order and one of the meals was a $13.00 Big Bleu Burger. Got all the way home and it only had bleu cheese on it. No bacon, no sauce...called and told the girl what happened, asked for a credit for having to go all the way back for the correct order. She didn't say sorry or anything, just put the manager on who was also very rude. No apology, just said I could come all the way back for a new burger or he can credit me on my next order. I complained that it didn't sound right, so he said he'd credit my account and I could come pick up the bacon it was missing, lol! No thanks, told him I won't be back, demanded that he credit my card because I won't ever go back there. Didn't seem to care that he lost a long-time customer, we get 5 entrees plus wings. My bill is always $60+ so that money can be spent at a place that cares about the customers who keep them in business. read more

I'm very familiar with Legends from the south suburbs so we thought we'd roll the dice on the one out in Yorkville. Quality was pretty much the exact same: good food, good drinks, and good service. I ordered a Bloody Mary ($8 on a Saturday if I remember correctly) and it was good, I believe they use Zing Zang mix. For our meal, we ordered 10 shrimp; 5 with parmesan garlic (SO GOOD) and 5 with a spicy garlic flavoring. Then we ordered a salad and a pesto flatbread. Everything was very good! The one thing was not so good was the large family sitting right behind us. If I had to guess, I would imagine it was a loyal patron or owner of this location because they all seemed to know the wait staff quite well. I for one, am all for families going out together and having a great time. However, at one point they were loudly playing that "Heads Up" game we genuinely could not hold a conversation. Not to mention the kids and adults had no issues bumping into people while playing the game or using the darts machine right next to our table. I never want to be one to complain about a family but it was unfortunately just very rude behavior in a crowded bar on a Saturday afternoon. If you're in the mood for wings or shrimp, I suggest go on a Sunday (1/2 prices wings & shrimp) and sit at the bar instead of the tables. read more

I love love love this sports bar. The customer service is excellent and the food is amazing 100% of the time. The bartenders and waitresses are exceptional and even one of the owners Eric comes around and is super nice and helpful as well. This is a normal hangout for my mom and step father and they always return because they love it so much!! I come a lot on tuesdays for their amazing tacos and I love getting the wings and fried pickles and Mac and cheese bites as well! I have nothing negative to say about this sports bar.
