Davie's Best Pizza I walked in yesterday with my 17-year-old son after he mentioned he'd love to have his graduation party catered here. We sat down and asked about catering, and a very kind staff member let us know the owner would come speak with us. Shortly after, John Magnetta introduced himself and walked us through all the options. He was incredibly polite, knowledgeable, and made the entire process easy and enjoyable. We sampled several dishes--everything was absolutely delicious. From the bruschetta on garlic rolls and Caesar salad to the Margherita pizza, cheese pizza, penne alla vodka, and meatballs--every bite was on point. People are super nice, service was great and atmosphere is good with two big tv's for game day and an outdoor patio. Food is mid we ordered chicken parm which came with baked ziti portion was small but it was lunch special and penne alla vodka pasta was overcooked sauce was good. Best thing we ate were the garlic rolls. But it is hard to find, there are literally three parking spots out front and while we were there there were to homeless people sitting outside on their patio. read more

Great local pizza spot! ++ garlic knots ++ chicken wings ++ 10 inch personal pie, the size of my hand with thin crust ++ perfect!! I ordered online and it was ready in 20 minutes which was pretty shocking because when I got there the place was packed and busy for a Sunday night with locals watching the football games on the screens. I ordered a ten inch pie with sausage and mushrooms to go. The dough had a airy crust . The sauce had a nice freshness to it. Also, the mozzarella cheese, sausage, and mushroom they use are very good quality. My only complaint is that the as crispy as I wanted it to be. The staff was really friendly too. read more

This shop location has been several pizzerias over the last 50 years, although this one has a sports bar vibe with a large outdoor patio where you can watch cars whizzing by blasting their music - well it is a college town and therefore a perfect spot for a pizza joint. The interior did not flaunt the traditional pizzeria red and black colors but did have a nice stone-like front counter with a large glossy circular wooden table as the centerpiece. Loved the light real wood panel accented wall that complemented the rest of the square wooden tabletops. Today's special was advertised in-store as two slices and a soda for $6.99. Grabbed a slice of cheese pizza from the friendly server before our next dinner stop nearby. The thin slice was large and not too oily with a decent crust - added some red pepper flakes to kick up some heat. The bathroom was clean, extremely basic and very tight, could use some TLC but accommodated my need. Strong 4.3 star rating. read more

My favorite is to get the pizza slice special for $6.99 with a drink and add 3 garlic rolls. It's a great value and their dough is always fresh. One pepperoni and one mushroom is typically my favorite, and their mushrooms are always sliced fresh, compared to others who use canned. The pasta primavera is a great choice too. You know the food is good or you are really hungry when you dive right in and forgot to take a picture (oops) The staff is always so friendly whether you are dining in or ordering to go. Inside has many tables to sit in I love the family feel it has to it with the different variations of table sizes. To order we had the following: Pepperoni Pizza with a side of their liquid gold (get it! It's a seasoned butter that I love to dip my crust in and it's seriously gold) the pizza is nice and crispy while the crust is thick and fluffy. I stopped in for a quick slice after looking up good pizza places on Yelp. It was clean and nice inside, and the staff was very friendly. I sat at a table and ordered the days special - 2 slices of cheese pizza with a drink for $6.99. It was done in about 10 minutes then was brought to my table. The slices were HUGE! They had advertised NY style hand tossed pizza - and it was! We have tried many pizza places in the area from Davie to Plantation to Fort Lauderdale and while most every place says they have "NY style pizza" , it really never is. It was true! Thin slices of pizza, with the perfect ratio of sauce and cheese. Baked until crispy with the right amount of oil to keep it moist. The flavor was delicious. I always try slices before I order a whole pizza, and I was really impressed. I will definitely be back and try a whole pie with sausage and mushrooms. Definitely worth coming back. read more

I have been going to Davie's Best ever since I started attending university in Davie. It has been 4 years now and this place is still my go-to pizza bar when I am craving a slice or two. The restaurant has a homey feel and this is evident when I see all the parents coming here with their children after school or teams coming after their little league games to celebrate with a hot pie of pizza. Though this is not the most upscale restaurant, it is clean and maintained by friendly and attentive staff. I think I have seen the same people working in the front since I started visiting and they have always been nothing but kind. They have large tables for big parties and can seat indoors and outdoors but I mostly see people choosing to sit inside to avoid the heat. My order is always their two cheese and a coke for $6.99 and let me tell you - their slices are very big. Sometimes, I get full off of just one slice but the deal is too good to pass up on. If you are looking for more than just a cheese slice, they have a full italian menu with salads, pastas, sandwiches, pizzas, and desserts. I have also tried their eggplant parm and fried ravioli, both of which are decent. If you have not been here, definitely give it a try. I can't wait for my next visit! read more

Everything went well during our visit today. The service was wonderful. We had a very friendly waitress. I'm guessing she was also the owner. There were other people in the restaurant. Everyone was enjoying a great meal. We ordered a cheese pizza. The cheese tasted so yummy. Such great flavor on it. We also ordered the bruschetta knots. Those were so good as well. We finished off our meal with a couple of homemade cannolis. The restaurant was quiet. They had music in the background and a nice size t v playing local news. This is definitely a local's place. Parking in the front and many more spaces available in the back along with an entrance as well. We don't live in this area but will make it a point to visit as often as we can. I recently ordered from here with some friends and we ordered a few different items to try out. The food was made really quickly which was not expected as pizza places usually take a while so that was a big plus point for this place. We ordered the margarita pizza, the Davie's best pasta combo, the baked ziti, mozzarella sticks, and garlic knots. The pizza was pretty good, but I would not get it again and it didn't really live up to the hype of this place. The pasta combo and ziti were good and at par with places like olive garden. The pricing was also pretty reasonable. The mozzarella sticks and garlic knots weren't good. The sticks were basic and the knots had garlic sauce dripping from them. Overall, it was an interesting experience and I might try it again and possibly get a different pizza this time. read more

To begin it may be a little confusing at first to find the place as it's towards the end of the plaza but once you get in, it should be good. The service in here was very good we were greeted with a kind and friendly server, made it feel very welcoming. For food we got garlic knots there garlic stuff pizza, which it looks like and a half meat lovers and kawubunga pizza. Overall, everything was pretty good and for the price I would say you can't beat what you're getting and they also have lunch specials. Visited with my family for the first time today. We ordered a cheese slice, Davie's best calzone, pepperoni rolls, chicken bacon ranch sandwich and Asian bbq wings. All of the food tasted amazing and fresh. The cannolis are fantastic too, very light, fluffy and not too sweet. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I've been a loyal customer for years and have never had an issue with the service, food or quality. Tonight I ordered cheese pizza, a Pepsi and asked what flavored wings there was since I usually only grab pizza and Stromboli; she advised the flavors and I chose garlic parmesan. When my order arrives pizza was great but the wings where spicy, when I go to call for them to replace it the lady says "the garlic Parmesan is rubbed with mild sauce as well and it's says it on the menu". When is mild sauce combined on garlic Parmesan wings ????? Never ! They should advise those things when a customer is selecting items that are made differently that what an actual "garlic Parmesan wings". I added a photo because I couldn't believe it and worst case that they wouldn't replace it for something else, refund me or credit me on a future order . Not happy with tonight's service. read more
