I had a meeting in the area so i stopped by to grab a quick bite and this was by far the best pizza i had in florida,it reminded me of pizza in nyc. I had the lunch special which was two slices and it comes with a drink. it was really good!!!!! I will return again to buy more slices. I visited this establishment with my daughter, wife, and little brother, and we were shocked to see four cockroaches walking around in plain sight. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable, especially in a place that serves food. When I brought it to the attention of the woman in the front, named Maria (a Hispanic lady), she reacted with an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. She even started arguing with me and killed the roaches right in front of us, including in front of my young daughter, instead of addressing the situation properly. She claimed they had just fumigated, but the presence of multiple live cockroaches says otherwise. This place is unsanitary, unsafe, and not family-friendly. The service was awful, and the staff treated us with no respect. I strongly urge others to avoid this establishment for the sake of your health and safety. I am editing this because I intended to give a 5 star rating but Yelp doesn't seem to let me change the rating. I ordered to go and was very pleased. Normally I order from John the Baker in Pembroke Pines. But I was over here so I decided to give this location a try. This is a franchise location. They do just as good a job as the one in Pembroke Pines. The only difference I noticed was these garlic rolls are less oily and actually less garlicky. That was okay by me. The quality of food at John the Baker is always good. The salad is not the most exciting one but the dressing is very good. They gave a large container of ranch. And it has just the right flavor for me. I really like this salad even though I prefer more toppings. The lasagna was excellent. I did have to heat it up when I got home but that is normal. It had a lot of sauce and delicious cheese. I will have lunch for today or maybe even dinner from the Leftovers. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Pizza with some soup tends to be my go to meal when I'm feeling under the weather... it's my comfort food. I ordered a pizza, garlic rolls and a minestrone soup via door dash everything arrived in good condition as the package was good and secure. The pizza's flavor was good but slightly cold, the garlic bread was yummy and the soup was a little bland and the beans and pasta was a little firm... maybe it wasn't quite ready, I decided to wait and eat the soup the next day and added a little salt and it was better. For an easy lunch for dinner I may order from them again but the location on Flamingo is definitely better. read more

Great NY style pizza! I don't say that lightly. We were visiting from out of state and looking for good pizza near our hotel. We ordered a medium Milano special with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, and onions. It came with lots of cheese and piping hot. $19 We had two small salads and the meal was fantastic. $30 total, and we had leftovers. The environment is a little small with only a few tables. being a native New Yorker from the Bronx and my good friend from Brooklyn and now living in Hollywood Florida, we're always on a search for New York style pizza, and Italian food like from a mom and Pop restaurant that's just nonexistent here. Many places, boast of New York style pizza, but it's always a disappointment same with the food. The sauce is always disgusting. Well after 20 years, the search is over. What a great find John the baker on Davie Road extension man. Oh man, the pizza. Incredible eggplant Parmesan outstanding the lasagna wonderful even the salad was good and those garlic rolls don't get me started on those. We went there on Wednesday night and ordered tons of food just to try stuff. It was so good that we couldn't stay away so we went back last night on Thursday can't say enough about it. Can't wait to go back if you're a New Yorker from New York City especially if you're of Italian descent check this place out. We ordered through uber twice from this location and both times items such as salads and meatballs were missing. When we called a female named Alex had an attitude about it, did not apologize and said come pick it up if you want it. I won't charge you. Never again from this location. The rolls were good but that was it. We ordered the chicken parm sub. Asked for it lightly baked and ironically it came out well done and burnt on the end. I don't know what happened to the chicken but this is the second time we've ordered the same meal and the chicken has been the same each time. It's like they cut a chicken breast in half, pound it, and cook the chicken to death. It's so dry it literally can't be chewed and sort of breaks apart into strings on its own. I split half with my partner and my half was inedible along with half of his. What sucks for us is we make 12 bucks an hour at our job and this meal was a waste for us and our hard earned money. Which we don't have a lot of to spend. We were looking for a nice treat but unfortunately, this isn't it. I can understand asking for a sandwich "lightly" done and getting it regular cooked. But not well done like this as to where it's burnt and it makes the bread so dry it's inedible. It's unfortunate. A place can't survive on selling garlic rolls alone so unfortunately, we won't be back. This was the second time in a row our chicken did this dry, chewy, stringy thing. So we guess it's the norm. Thank god we got a pizza that salvaged the meal but.... Yeah. Unfortunately for us we won't be back. Hopefully the owners see this and decide to make some chicken changes for future customers. No hate to them, just constructive criticism. I mean imagine if you had the BEST chicken parm in town. Everyone would be at your restaurant, right?! But we get served this? Idk. Just our opinion. I have never given a Resturant a bad review before, but I felt compelled to leave a review. My husband and I had planned to visit the Pembroke location, but gps led us to this one. The Resturant was completely empty at 5:45pm which was a red flag, but decided to stay. My husband's Italian sub was dry and lifeless. No sauce, no oil and vinegar, no Mayo, no nothing! When my husband questioned the lack of condiments, the waitress replied," that's just how we do it". Just because you do it that way, doesn't make it right. When have you ever had a sandwich with no condiments? The garlic rolls were dry, when they're supposed to be saturated in olive oil. I ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich. I was expecting a fresh, grilled chicken breast. What I got was elementary school cafeteria- style chicken patty, that tasted freezer burnt with minimal marinara sauce. Absolutely horrible! The pizza was really good and the sauce was great.
