The go-to a burial spot for the movers and shakers of Dallas past. The older part of the property is a traditional cemetery with upright headstones and lushly landscaped plots. Maintenance for these must be very expensive and sometime in the past, they converted to allowing only flat grave markers. This makes about 3/4 of the place less interesting, however, you will be kept intrigued by searching out and visiting graves of many prominent Dallisites. Ross Perot legendary businessman, Lamar Hunt former owner/founder of the Kansas City Chiefs, Eugene McDermott, founder of Texas Instruments, Tom Landry, former longterm coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Don Carter former own Dallas Mavericks, on and on, etc etc. Have fun!

Many prominent Dallisites including,Mayors, 6, financiers, developers etc are interned here. It is a beautiful place. Not taken care of quite as well as in the past but not abandoned either. My favorite grave is of a man named Slaughter. Check out the Texas historical marker photo and picture of his granite tomb. There is a multi-generational family of grey foxes living here in the shadow of downtown that's a pleasant surprise every time I stop in.

So if you are willing...do the footwork (ie, shop around for your own coffin/flowers/headstone/etc., rather than going the easy route by buying their expensive coffin/flowers/headstone/etc. The only thing I had in way of complaint was I had to follow-up twice on getting the memorial stone installed...we purchased it from an external vendor (saving $$$) but they have to install it.

She went over all of the details thoroughly, so I was able to make a decision on the funeral arrangements fairly quickly. Miguel Bandy was PHENOMENAL! I often wondered did he ever sleep! He was very responsive and supportive. He made a very tough and sensitive situation very comforting and uncomplicated. I know there were other bereaved clients with families in need, but I never felt like there were - based on the GREAT customer service my family and I received from the moment my dad passed until he was laid to rest! Unfortunately, I was not able to give 5 stars. We paid for the livestream service option and are not pleased with the outcome. The recording is not great. There seems to be some technical disconnects that need to be addressed if they are going to continue to offer this service. Had we known, we would have secured an alternative. We are grateful that the service was recorded, but we would have liked a better product ultimately.

What made this experience even worse was seeing my brother's obituary published with multiple typos and errors. An obituary is a final tribute to a loved one, and mistakes like that are inexcusable. It showed a serious lack of care, professionalism, and attention to detail. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this funeral home.

It was a very complicated situation, partly because he was murdered and partly bc his affairs were not in order. But they were so delicate and compassionate for my situation. I could not have asked for more thoughtful and caring people to handle his passing. In fact, I ended up referring them to my friend when her father passed away. So I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need.
