The woodfired mushroom pizza has a perfect thin crust and is incredibly tasty. We also have had breakfast here. Matcha latte and coffee lattes were excellent. Everything in the pastry display looked so yummy that we had difficulty deciding what to try. The chai fig pastry was just the right amount of sweetness. The egg sandwich on sourdough was delicious. I have post a genuine review 2 times which they some how get taken down? I did not think it was possible for the business to control the reviews ? My husband and myself went there not knowing who was working it was our first and will be our last visit. As the waitress was a person he as a carpenter had worked for and they had refused to pay him . We thought nothing of it's a place of employment right? We never received napkins or condiments we found those for ourselves. The people around us were chatted with brought things not us ! Then the napkin dispenser and condiments were removed from us . Get the Wild Mushroom pizza for sure and then any other traditional pizza you like. Hubby ordered a sausage pizza with the traditional red pizza sauce. Stopped here early morning in our way back home after spending New Year's in Brevard. I will agree that the parking is tight.... However, the pastries and coffee were on point. The pastries were fresh baked and the coffee was not over-extracted. They also have a nice outdoor seating area. The food was amazing. The only complaint is the only ADA ramp is by a parking spot near the parking lot exit, so if a car is parked there you cannot easily assist someone getting out of the car without blocking traffic trying to leave. Then you have to pull out and drive all the way around the traffic circles to come back to park. They need to do grading on the rest of the curbs so it is more accessible for people coming in at the other entry door. Also the configuration of tables inside are not easy to maneuver with someone needing space for a walker or wheelchair. read more

Food is good, not fantastic. Pricing moderately high. Staff seemingly has no patience for those who are first timers unaware of their "system". As I paid, and offered a tip option I hit "no tip" as no service is involved other than taking my order, just like McDonald's. Staff member was snarky and said, "ok, goodbye".... Just wow. I love this place!! The turkey avocado sandwich is so good and I also had the bakery salad. I love the 9 grain bread. We sat outside and even though it's hot there was a nice breeze and lots of shade on the patio. If I could give zero stars I would. This is our third bad experience here. We have been here a handful of times (usually during slower hours), twice our coffee order was messed up, once we got THE SALTIEST bagels (nearly inedible) and the bread was terribly burnt on the bottom when I ordered a loaf of bread. Needless to say, I'm not one to be quick to write a bad review. Today my husband and I decided to go out to lunch on a whim between work and errands which we rarely do, thought we would give it another shot as we love Flatrock Bakery and were so excited for them to open here. He got there first and luckily got a parking spot, I drove around for 10 minutes waiting for a spot to open up when we finally just decided that he would get food to go and bring it home. He ordered, paid and then sat there for 30 minutes waiting for our food. After 30 minutes he was told that they lost his order and his food never got started. They didn't say "we'll make it right away" or "the least we can do is give you your cup of soup" they just refunded him. It was very weird and unpleasant and we will not be returning. read more

We stopped in around lunch time 2pm, we tried to order their sandwiches and were told they aren't serving sandwiches at this time so all we could choose from were salads and pizzas... could not choose from the dinner menu either, but they close at 5pm.. hesitantly we decided to just go with a pizza. The pizza came out watery and literally all the toppings slid right off as soon as you pick it up. Wasted $ on a pizza we were forced to order and it wasn't even made right. The food is excellent but some of the staff members are extremely rude. My brother in law suffered a stroke in February. He is just now learning to stabilize himself with a cane. Following a doctors appointment, he wanted to go to the Pisgah Bakery for a sandwich. It was on Wednesday, May 2nd just before 3pm. My sister parked in the handicap space and slowly walked with him to the door right by the spaces. A young woman employee was on her laptop with papers all around her and would not let them in the door by the handicap spaces. She made them walk all the way to the front door passed all kinds of table and chairs. And her demeanor was unpleasant and unsympathetic. By the time they got into the restaurant, it was just after 3 so they stopped serving lunch. if they had been allowed to enter from the side door, they would have been able to order. So my sister asked if they could at least exit through the side entrance to more easily get to their car. The guy said "of course., that is the handicap entrance.". My sister told him they were not allowed in that way. He said the woman was ill informed. No action taken. Until you have had someone close to you go through something debilitating, maybe we don't realize how hard it can be. And to be treated that way was uncalled for in so many ways. They may need to reevaluate some of their staff members. Hopefully she is not the owner! read more
