Without fail, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to spend whatever time is necessary to answer all my questions and show me products. The inventory is both broad and deep. Their pricing is competitive, and generally slightly on the low side compared to other local retailers. One one occasion, a firearm I purchased had a minor cosmetic flaw -- the fault of the manufacturer -- that did not affect function. Pistol Parlour gladly, at their own expense, packed and shipped it, and when it returned, made sure I was completely happy with the way the manufacturer made the correction. Great little find. Never knew about this place until I was referred here by a Caswell staff. After walking in we were greeted almost instantly. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and somewhat knowledgeable. The guy that initially helped us out joked around with us and helped me take a look at a few guns, to my surprise they had the guns that I wanted to look at. When I finally decided on the one I wanted he got the paperwork, and then he disappeared to help another customer. It was then where literally 3 different staff members were helping me out; was a bit odd. Overall experience wasn't bad, I still ended up getting what I wanted at a slightly higher price than Caswells, but at least I could have it today instead of having to order it online and wait. Don't try and trade anything here. They won't consider anything. Only consignment. Had some nice high dollar 1911's to trade and cash for a nice Sig. they said they weren't interested but would consider a consignment. This happened 3 times with 3 different guns. Sales people are nice though I guess but the owner said my 1911's were very very nice and rare but hard for them to sell. Wouldn't even consider any trade value. Move on. This is one of the worst gun shops in the valley. The staff is rude, short responses and not very knowledgeable. And the older lady is ridiculously rude. If you don't believe me, call them and ask them a simple question about a gun. They will have the attitude that you are bothering them. And to be honest, the prices are not great, you can travel to other hun shops and pick up the same guns for much cheaper. Price things out before buying from them. Why support a local business that doesn't care about customer experience! There are plenty of others out there that will give you a great experience and support. If I could give them 0 stars I would. So today I came into pistol parlor with cash in hand looking to buy the pre-owned Kimber k6s. However upon arriving I was informed that the price was set on the pre-owned guns and they would not budge one penny. Well, if they are set in their ways on their price and don't realize that it's a used gun and it's only worth what somebody is willing to spend for it then I guess I'll take my business elsewhere. You guys are under trained, lack common sense, insult your customers, generally are P.O.S, and have no idea how to deal with customer service! This was the place I would do all my gun, Ammo, accessory purchases. But now, I'm looking for other options. A couple weeks ago I bought a rail for my ar-15 and I asked if they have someone to install it for me. They said yes and it would be $40. I thought it would be cheaper than buying the tools that I need to do it myself. I had told them that I would return later to pick it up. I stopped by a couple days later and my rifle was nowhere to be found. Turns out that the gun smith TOOK MY RIFLE HOME because he has more tools there. Under no circumstances should that had happened!! You don't take your car to a mechanic and the mechanic takes it home because he/she has better tools there! Nobody, at any point, had communicated with me that it would be done off site. I requested my rifle be returned and a call back as soon as it was returned. Due to my work schedule I could not wait or return for a few days. At no point did I receive a call regarding the status of my request. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I'm disappointed because this is the first time this team has let me down. Good prices and good people, but not good communication. read more

It is an unfortunate theme with gun stores that the staff are rude, doubly compared to customer service people or salesmen in any other industry. This store exemplifies this in a big way. Unmasked contempt was apparent in every interaction the staff had with customers during my visit, myself included. No interaction will occur unless you're assertive and demand to be serviced, regardless of how empty the shop is. Price is an issue as well. Like cars, most people do not pay over MSRP for a new gun. You will if you buy here. They do have a selection of basic new guns that surpasses most stores in the area, so this establishment might be a good place to go experience items you are considering buying online (50% cheaper and without rewarding the nasty behavior of the staff here), but they're picky about what they'll transfer so you'll need to go somewhere else for that. I recommend AJI Sports in Apache Junction. Other reviewers believe they were ignored or treated badly because they didn't seem knowledgeable about guns. I do tens of thousands of dollars of business in firearm-related purchases yearly, and can name every gun in this shop at a distance - they were rude to me too. read more

I have dealt with Clyde (the owner) and his staff for 30+ years. You can not stay in business that long if service and product availability is lacking. It is just the opposite. Pricing has ALWAYS been good. Service has ALWAYS been solid and consistent over all these decades. Of course, clientele has changed, and changed dramatically in the last several years. Impulse buyers are coming out in droves. An undereducated and sensitive lot they are. Expectations all over the board. The Pistol Parlour has weathered these fluctuations in the market far better than ANY shop in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Simply put, buy with confidence. read more

this place is the epitome of local gunshop stereo types. the staff didnt even notice when i walked in. the prices on all the guns and accessories were cheaper than dirt gouging level. when i finally decided to grab a sales member to inquire about a geissele rail the employee barely wanted to get off his chair to help me. when i saw the price on the rail i noticed it was 100$ over geiselles MSRP on their website. I had asked the lumpy sales guy if they could price match geiselles website since it was so over priced. I guess my mistake was telling the sales guy i had just ordered the same rail from sportsmans and was quoted 5 days for the shipping. I didn't feel like waiting so i gave pistol parlor a chance to make some money instead of the larger corporation. The sales guy sauntered into the back i could hear them laughing and talking. He then came out and said since these are so backordered and hard to get the price is firm. I immediately walked out knowing mine was already on the way for 100$ cheaper. Good luck sitting on a expensive high end rail for a 14.5 ar that most people dont want. I will never be back and i will never ever recommend anytime to that disorganized dumpster fire of a local gun shop! read more

I was looking for a Daniel Defense AR 15 "for my wife" and this place had some new ones on the shelf. Doing a bit of research online, I had it narrowed down to a couple different models. My wife and I made our trip to the pistol parlor to see what they had. They were steadily busy but after looking around a bit a young gentleman that worked there was available and went through the different guns with us. He showed us a model that I hadn't looked into as much (V11 pro) and showed me some features, such as the upgrade trigger, that really set it apart from the other DD guns. They were all very reasonably priced, a good amount under MSRP, and as cheap as anywhere I could find online. We bought the gun, have taken it to the range several times since, and could not be happier with our purchase. It's a fantastic gun that could only be exceeded by our smooth and friendly customer service we received. read more

I don't normally leave reviews for places, as I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. But this place...this place gives absolutely zero fucks about you. I walked in here at 515 (place closes at 6pm) and was flat out ignored. I tried asking 2 separate employees a question as I was there to buy 2 pistols. They gave me curt answers and walked away from me. I ended up finally giving up and just buying a trigger, after waiting a half hour for some semblance of help. I ended up needing to return the unopened trigger about a week later, and was met with "We only give store credit". Mind you, there was no mention of this during the transaction, nor are there big signs anywhere stating this. Instead, they point to terms and conditions on the sales receipt (which is given to you after your purchase, meaning it's too late to turn back). This is not a business that gives a damn about anyone but themselves. Don't waste your time here. read more

I have given this place three chances to take my money. I purchase around three guns a year and all the ammo and supplies to go with them. When you walk in this place they make you feel very uncomfortable. I even try to take the battle to them because I work in customer service and would be fired if I acted like they do. I guess you have to get in their click, I thought walking though the door as a customer would do that. I have purchased from this store. Prices are just okay. Nothing to write home about. They have a fair amount of accessories, optics, and so on. Some of the staff are friendly, and some not so much. One thing that has always bothered me, is that almost every time I have gone in there, there is somebody behind the counter, trying to answer questions, but has absolutely no clue what they are talking about. I understand, that the store is trying to sell product, but bullcrapping your way through questions is not okay when it comes to firearms. Rude staff, older lady acts like you're a burden to even see a firearm. One employee was talking down on Daniel Defense rifles (of which they had multiple models of at the time yet no BCM rifles) and said that they were all build from BCM reject parts which is 100% incorrect. Staff stands around and ignores you, even if you're the only customer in there. You have to burden someone (at least that's how they act) to look at anything. There's are two older guys there (one I believe is the owner) that act like you're graced by their presence and you're not good enough to speak to them. One time I asked the older guy with glasses to see an Aimpoint while he was running a background check on the computer and he acted like I asked him to run laps around the store (impossible bc everything is so dang crowded in there) as he ran the check when the sight was directly in front of him... He didn't even need to get off of the chair! That guy needs a swift kick. Other stores are worth visiting with better pricing then this store has. Save yourself the trouble, feeling insignificant and insulted and shop elsewhere. read more

Several years ago when they were at the old location off of Main, this was the only Gun Shop I would visit due to reasonable prices on Ammunition. I had bought several firearms from them in the past and had no problems. Until I decided to order a 22 rifle for Christmas. I had looked everywhere, and this was the only store at the time that could get it before Christmas that year. I ordered it, and as I always do, checked what other dealers list the very same rifle for in the Valley. Come to find out they offered the rifle at the highest price of all other stores in the Valley. So when I went in to pick up the rifle, I inquired (like any consumer has the right to) as to whether or not they would mach other local dealer prices. A simple "No" would have sufficed but instead the associate behind the counter proceeded to berate me, and explain how much he hated it when customers asked about price matching because this was a gun store, not a car dealership. Since I did not want to pay a restocking fee or some crazy fee I felt he would come up with, I went ahead with the purchase. I did inform the Associate that I would not return to their store any time in the future. I am happy to say that I have kept to my word and have been much happier taking my business elsewhere even if this shop has the lowest price on an item I am interested in purchasing by a long shot. I WOULD NOT and DO NOT recommend this shop to anyone. Its sad because I had several very good experiences before that inexcusably bad experience.
