As someone who has lived all over Texas I was skeptical of North Dakota BBQ, but this place came very highly recommended, and now I know why While it's nothing special to look at from the outside, the interior is spacious and inviting. The space is almost like a rustic warehouse with a trendy twist. When we showed up for dinner the parking lot was almost completely full and a line wrapped through the restaurant There are many BBQ options, sides, etc. and there is a digital menu showing some of their offerings as you wait in line You can eat in the main dining area or you can go to the brewery which shares the space and sit over there. There is a bbq sauce station where you can fill up on different variety's of sauces The food is delicious. I would recommend you come here and try it for yourself. What's even better is the food is affordable, especially when you compare it to Texas bbq Some tips: We had a group, and we ordered 3 beasts, a variety of signs, their nachos, etc. we were so full, but it was an incredible experience. This place is in a town that's near the north entrance for Theodore Roosevelt National Park. I was road tripping and headed in that direction and planned on stopping here for the night and when I rolled into town I was starving. I picked this place because I didn't have time to research restaurants and I know that bbq joints tend to be at least ok, so I went for it. Let me tell you something. This place was outstanding. When I walked in the smell of meat was dominating the air. It was glorious. Order at the counter, head to a table and wait for your plate. Everything I had was amazing. The brisket was maybe top 5 in all my brisket eating adventures. The sides were top tier as well. So as far as the food goes, I'd go so far as to say it's a sure thing. Don't doubt it, if you know you're looking for something great, this is the spot. Lots of seating, high ceilings, plenty of space. Quick service. Friendly people. Easy parking. We had some time before checking in to hotel so lunch it was. The good pics look good so we decided to give it a try. It is next door to Busted Knuckle Brewery (opens at 4pm) so we had some time. When you walk in the smell of smoke and burning meat (not burning in a bad way unless your vegan/veg hits you. Got the fried pickles.. what a joyful surprise to find pulled pork stuffed in them. Added a lot of flavor. I got the kids pulled pork sliders with potato salad. Loved the sliders but the potato salad was to creamy.. it had to much mayo. The flavor was good but again to wet. My co worker got nachos and added brisket.. the chips are homemade potato chips, not thin cut chips but thick more like fries. Would eat here again if on town. Good food, friendly staff. Not much to say on service other than friendly and fast. You order at the counter and they give you a large dice number, then someone brings out your food. read more

Phenomenal food. I tried the chicken sandwich and it was amazing. Side of Mac n cheese, was pretty damn good. Good local beer as well Low light, fairly quiet on a weekday. Background music fits the mood. As soon as you walk in, you smell the BBQ. Service from the gals at the counter were amazing, helping me figure out what meal I wanted. Bartender was very knowledgeable about the beers on tap. He kept the bar pretty well maintained as well. Not a lot of dirty tables with empty plates on them. So, I'm in Williston, ND through Friday, and I opted for the bbq place for dinner, Pit 105. The smells just about gave me a smoked meat buzz, but I did note with irony that this is a "smoke free" restaurant : ) I asked the lady, "If this was the only time I ever in this lifetime get to eat here, what would you recommend?" She answered, " BBQ nachos, corn bread and buffalo chips!" I ordered brisket, pulled pork, bbq beans and potato salad. Even the best nachos in the universe... are still nachos. I've ordered those a hundred times. So instead, I order what I've ordered 1,000 times. When do we get to eat mana? That'd be different. Do you think it tastes like buffalo chips? But I digress. The price was right at average for good bbq. The meat was excellent, the potato salad was better than good, just shy of great, the beans about the same. Ambiance was pretty good, not quite old southern bbq, but clean and enjoyable. Not that I stayed to eat there. I did take-out so I could go back to my room and watch Top Gun: Maverick. I stopped in for lunch one day while I was in town. I had heard they had really good brisket so I tried it. The flavor was really good and it was tender also. If I had to critique it, I'd say they need to leave more fat there were a few bites that were kinda dry since I can't have bbq sauce. All in all it was the best bbq in town. read more

This is great BBQ and seating is connected to Busted Knuckle Brewery so no worries there at night. The meat has a bit of heat which adds to the flavor. Meat is moist and juicy. Went in for lunch and it was very quick and not overly priced. I ordered the fire call which was a good sized sandwich with a good amount of heat nothing crazy. Had Buffalo chips with that and the were very good as well. The sauce selection was great. Their were six different sauces. Tried the dill pickles and I wouldn't go here again and not order them. I also tried the corn bread. I eat mine with honey which was available and it was good, I'd have it again but it wasn't something I'm telling you is a must try. The food was good and lots of options for beers. The only thing I didnt like was the waitresses dont come to you, you have to go to the counter yourself.
