    Loco moco bowl and potstickers
    Jordan A.

Ok ok soooo Hawaiian food is a fave of ours and this was hands DOWNNNNN the best Hawaiian food we have had aside from the food straight out of hawaii. Potstickers were amaze, kahlua pork was amaze, loco moco was FANTASTIC! We even got French fries and they were impressive. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will probably eat here again before leaving town. 10/10!!

Delicious and excellent service! Such a perfect break from the excessive ND comfort food. Everything was made to order and presentation was appealing. Wings were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Ribs were fall off the bone and the rice.... wow.

I have never had Hawaiin food so I don't know how this compares to the mainland, but for Williston ND, this is the best tasting food I've had in this town. It's a simple little restaurant with only about 8 tables. The food was really, really good! The wings were crispy and had excellent flavor with just the right amount of spice. The ribs had a nice char to them. The only drawback to this place and the reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the wait staff. My waitress was young and inexperienced and I don't fault her. I fault the person who was in charge last night, July 2nd. They gave this poor girl no help whatsoever. The one woman whom I assumed was in charge was nothing but loud and obnoxious. I'm not the kind of reviewer who usually knocks a place for their service, but this place warrants a little critique in this area. To begin with, the entire waitstaff stayed in the kitchen most of the time. The woman who was in charge (I assume she was in charge) did nothing but talk loudly through my whole meal, sounding like a 14 yr old girl telling stories. I still had a good meal but it would have been so much better if the wait staff had been professional.

This place is really, really good. All great island menu basics, done right. Spam musubi (try it!), fried rice, ribs, maccaroni salad, and kalua pig. All awesome! Jerry--one of the owners--is very hospitable and the server, Megan, provided some of the best service we've had (in Williston or anywhere else in the country). Support great food in Williston by dropping a few bucks here whenever you can!

    This was the best ever!!

Today was the first time eating here, and I was amazed how good the food was. The poopoo appetizer was amazing had pot stickers, egg rolls, and chicken wings. It was totally amazing. The entree I had was also amazing with chicken and ribs and the best ever fried rice I have ever had. It is a nice place to go eat and sit down. I liked how clean it was. The bathroom was also very clean. You can tell the owners take pride of the restaurant. Not to many owners will come out and greet you and have conversations with you and ask you how your doing and how the food is. This is a top notch place for sure. My only down fall was our waitress she kept us waiting with refills and was a little lost but other than that I would still give it a 5 star rating!!!

Small portions. Food was way overpriced for the quality. Pineapple coleslaw was bland and too creamy. Will not waste my money there again.

I will say that many of the booths are torn up, and the space isn't exactly immaculate. Also, there was a strange and unappetizing smell upon entry that seemed to get worse while waiting for our food The menu is extensive and a little confusing. There are a few different menus along the wall and there appear to be sand which, wrap, salad, burgers, and other options. There are many signature dishes to try. You can get your order on a white baguette, a wheat baguette, a flour tortilla, a spinach tortilla, or on ciabatta The service was fine. The person who took our order also delivered the food to us. I ordered my meal as a wrap but I was given it on a white bread baguette. The staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful Some tips: You can make your meal a combo and get chips or fries and a drink. They also have cookie options and I'm not sure if you can substitute chips for that. I asked if I could sub my drink for a cookie and I was told no. The baguettes have so much bread when compared to the rest of the sandwich. I wish there was more meat and less bread. Then again, I ordered a wrap and got bread instead lol Cheers!!

We ordered the giant pizza pretzel immediately & opted to wait to see just how big it was before choosing a meal. Well, it's "no meal needed even when sharing" big. In the words of my hubby, "this should come with a warning" - pro tip: add the cheese sauce along with the marinara. Yes, it costs extra & totally worth it. It's a soft bread-style pretzel, not the traditional style. Think traditional peperoni pizza shaped like a pretzel. It's tasty! Now, I've seen complaints about no house brews. There were 3 house brews on tap when we were in. I will say you had to look for it on the menu. It wasn't in your face visible on the menu. The hubs tried 2 and said they were ok. I had the Summit Oatmeal Stout and it was deliciously creamy. Stuffed beyond reason, we still ordered the pretzel bread pudding with ice-cream. I was already tapped out and this was another giant serving. He gave it his all but it was another DNF. All in all, service & the food were good & the house beer decent. While the prices seemed high, the portions were huge, making the price per pound reasonable, imo. On exit, the sofa in the den-style seating area caught my eye. I told the hubs to offer them $3k for it... upon reflecting, I'd bump up to $5k - swoon!

I knew we were in trouble when my boyfriend and I arrived before the rest of our party and the restaurant was packed. There was a section closed off and I crossed my fingers that it had been reserved for us, but alas... upon arrival, the host of our party told us that Dakota Farms doesn't take reservations and that we were just going to have to fill in tables as they became available. I knew from reading the reviews on yelp that this was going to be a sh!tshow, but re-entered the restaurant with at least 20 other people, who began rearranging tables so we could sit as together as possible. The waitresses kept yelling at us for blocking the path from the kitchen to the dining room, but when you're dealing with so many people, but no one from the staff actually wants to help... we should have taken our business elsewhere, but, ya know... it's hard to sit back and watch a situation get out of hand when you're not anywhere near in charge... We all get seated, orders taken, and then proceed to wait an hour and a half for our food. Yes, like I said, there were a lot of us, but the menu is one side of a legal size piece of paper. It's not like they're the Cheesecake Factory.. and most of the food was breakfast. Seriously, any mom can bust out egg breakfasts with fried meat and toast for a crew in no time. I ordered a chicken club sandwich and they must have dropped my chicken patty in the oil as soon as I ordered it because it was like the sole of an old boot, but with less flavor. Due to my disability, I have to cut up my sandwiches to get them into my mouth, and I had to ask my boyfriend to cut my sandwich because all my sawing effort could not make my butter knife cut through that chicken. He could barely accomplish that task. Then there was absolutely no condiments on the sandwich, which was supposed to have mayo, so it was as dry as the desert. I couldn't eat it. The boyfriend had the French dip, with chips. Don't know why he orders chips. He never eats them. The sandwich was okay. Nothing to write home about... yet here I am writing about it to warn you that the only reason it's edible is because of the bowl of jus. Our newfound neice had a breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, hash browns, meat and toast. Shes 15 and ate it all, with ketchup and jelly and a glass of mountain dew and a cup of coffee that was half sugar. Our newfound auntie had some decent french toast. I cant tell you what everyone else had, cuz we were still scattered across the dining room. Though some people did yell from table to table. However, i think it was my trip to the bathroom that sums up the whole experience. The busted state of the toilet says it all. The owner of this establishment clearly doesn't care about the quality of anything. They know that most of the customers are out of towners and that they'll never be back again so there's no reason to try to win anyone over. Avoid this place unless you feel like you need to be punished for your transgressions. Would not recommend

That said, the hostess experience has consistently been the weak point for me. On my most recent visit, there were open seats in the bar area and I politely requested to sit there because it felt warmer and more intimate for our group. The request was denied in a way that came across unnecessarily dismissive and unfriendly, which unfortunately set the tone for the evening. I also think the restaurant could improve how the back dining room is managed during colder months. That area tends to be very cold when it first opens in the evening, and guests are often seated there before the room has had time to warm up. It would make a big difference if the area was opened and heated before seating guests, since most people naturally prefer to sit somewhere warm when it's freezing outside. Unfortunately, when customers ask to move to a warmer area, it can feel like the request is treated more as an annoyance than an effort to make guests comfortable. At a restaurant of this caliber, hospitality starts at the front door. The food and servers are excellent, but the front-of-house experience could definitely use improvement.
