I took my dog here for the first time to be groomed. The staff was friendly but none were wearing masks which surprised me. They did ask what length I wanted my dog but I couldn't remember what number it was and they did not have any visuals for me to point out what length I wanted. The grooming was completed within two hours. When I picked up my dog I noticed he was cut uneven all over. I did have to send him back in to have them fix the unevenness. When I came back in to have them record they said that they had some questions about the grooming but never reached out to me to clarify and just handed me my dog with a haircut that looked unfinished. The cut wasn't terrible but it wasn't what I was expecting either or went over with them. There was not a loving feeling coming from them when they handled my dog, not rough but not gentle either. This place charges more than most in the area for grooming and my honest opinion is to seek grooming elsewhere. The store was very full of supplies should that be what you are looking for. read more

I told her that I knew he was matted and that I'd pay extra for her to take them out. I knew they weren't that bad to shave him completely off because he had a mini groom 2 weeks prior. I'm not a groomer but he's been dematted before when he was much worse. They told me he was too knotted and had to be buzzed. Not the end of the world but don't charge me for a haircut and to dematt him. All she said was I'm sorry you're disappointed. Not too eager to win back my business. I also noticed later that night my dog was cut from her shaving him so low. I feel like that should've been mentioned. Really not worth the $94. read more

Owner Bevan, and all his peeps, including their pups, are genuinely super nice, and I have shopped there since they opened to support local biz. Currently, I have a Belgian Mali Shepherd that is blowing her coat, and like all else, my long-time groomer that I truly adore, has not been an option. I finally called PS about self-wash and, as I presumed, it is currently off limits, however, they ARE grooming pups (AND taking food orders!) I made an appt with Savannah and she did an amazing job on a difficult coat, and a bit of a temperamental pup! She has never looked better! I'm happy. My girl Charlee is happy. Erica the groomer is worthless. I have a West Highland Terrier. Four months ago she buzz cut the dog ignoring our instructions to trim and fashion the coat. Took 4 months to grow back out to normal length. Today we specifically issued instructions AGAIN to trim and fashion the coat not a buzz cut. Well another buzzcut. She is always in hurry so she can leave early. We attempted to discuss our displeasure with the grooming but made no headway. She was rude, argumentative, and talked incessantly. Not a civil person. We will never use PISSTOP for dog grooming again. The groomer is trash. read more

These guys are GREAT! I drive past Pit Stop just about every day on my lunch break, and decided to pop in one day to see what they were all about. I had been needing to change the food we give our pups, so it kinda worked out perfectly. The owner introduced himself, shook my hand, and started asking plenty of questions about what exactly I was looking for in a food. He went through every company they carry, explaining benefits, price points, and any thing else that came to mind. This alone was far beyond the service I have been offered at any other Pet store I've been to in my history (most of my life) as a dog owner. I didn't buy anything that day, but he gave me samples of a few different things to try out, and I left knowing that this would be my go-to for my dog food/treat/etc needs for a while to come. I went back a week or so later to pick up the food I had narrowed down to, and the owner remembered me by name, which is a big deal these days. They've definitely gotten a lifetime customer out of me. I go back every time I need food, and will continue to go back as long as these guys are around. They are an excellent addition to the community, and for people who love their dogs as much as I do. As for the reviewer who complained about the Pit Bulls that are in house most of the time, I think they are great addition to the company and both pups are absolute sweethearts. Every time I come in, they welcome me with wagging tails. Just like I hope Pit Stop for Pets is around for a long time to come, I hope these little ones hang around the counter for just as long. I will always tip my hat to people giving the (way too often) picked on Pit Bull breed a chance to shine, and these guys do that by allowing them to hang around the shop, and they even have pictures of them up on the walls. Pit Stop For Pets is one of my favorite independent pet stores. It is always clean, the displays are well done, the employees always offer assistance, and their selection is superb. I strive to feed my pets (dogs and a cat) the best I can give them, and Pit Stop carries healthy, natural, and wholesome products without harmful by-products, preservatives, or additives. The employees are knowledgeable and always have been able to answer my questions, as well as provide thoughtful suggestions. The bath stalls are just adorable and ALWAYS clean. I have seen the groomers at work in the back before, and the animals never appeared distressed. I have gone out of my way to visit Pit Stop (there are other stores, both "big box" and independent closer to me) for their customer service and selection. Another thing I love about Pit Stop is that they support animal welfare and rescue in the community. I am happy to support a store that is not only independent, but also gives back. LOVE THIS PLACE. Not only is the staff knowledgeable, but you can tell they deeply care for your pets. The calm atmosphere helps a lot too, unlike big pet stores that can be intimidating for little pups. I had a few questions about some dog food I was looking into. One girl wasn't sure the answer, and actually researched it for me and called me back. I live at least an hour away, and I make an effort to always come here for my pup's baths and food! We love going to this store! I drive out of my way and pass 2 other local pet supply stores to get here. The dogs in the store are always well-behaved and are kept confined behind the counter. I don't see how anyone could find them intimidating unless you are discriminating against their breed and not even recognizing how well behaved they are. I have washed my dogs here a few times and I get food and treats here. They carry only the best products, so you know you don't have to worry about unsafe additives in your dogs treats. I have been to this store several times and had both of my dogs groomed here. Everyone at the store is knowledgeable and great with the dogs. Other groomers I have used in the Roswell area sometimes are not sure how to groom our little American Eskimo, but the groomer here was perfect. Our family recently moved to the area and we searched for a new place to purchase food for our dogs. When I walked in I got the sweetest, warmest welcome from the owner, employee and these two gorgeous dogs, behind the counter. These dogs looked so healthy, I of course asked what they were feed.. A raw diet, I inquired about the raw food stocked and was given a great education, then allowed to return our standard food for this new raw diet that would put an end to my girls allergies. Their dog's health did the selling, I asked questions and was graciously answered for every 1000 questions I had. Then comes the tour of the facility. WOW the tubs for the dogs are incredible. 1 of a kind. Come to find out it was his wife's vision. There is some serious love here. Healthy, Happy people with healthy happy pets. I stopped in today based on reviews I saw on Yelp. I am adopting a 6 year old dachshund and wanted to learn more about natural foods. I talked to the owner who was beyond helpful! He gave me a couple samples to try, and once I bring the dog home and figure out which one she likes best, I will be returning. For me, the location is about 2 minutes from my house, so it couldn't be more convenient. But regardless of that, I like the personal attention of the small business. Thought I would give this place a try as I have 2 business in the area and don't have time to wash my little dog. I wanted to support local business. Maybe I caught them on a bad day but I had a negative experience. I walked in with my 12 pound dog only to be greeted by 2 giant pit bulls. A little intimidating. There was no chit chat welcome how are you. I told them I wanted to have my dog washed them. A lady walked from behind the desk and took Charlie with her. I was going to drop off but I just did not have a good vibe so I stayed and that was a good call. She never said one word to my dog just puts him In a large tub that was intimidating for a little dog and starts washing. Charle is a beagle loves water and people but he starts shaking uncontrollaby. She does nothing to comfort him not one word. The owner walks by and I say I can't believe how hard he is shaking and awkwardly he says nothing. Not it's ok nothing. I am just wanted to go in and grab him so finally after she turns the water off I say I'm sorry I'm going to need to take him. She just does not get it she says ok and just walks him up front. I'm assuming it was the owner behind the counter. I nicely say Charlie feels very uncomfortable here it would help to calm dogs down if you say their name talk to them etc. He is oblivious. He says that's strange how would you like to pay. I handed him my card and I the say I've very sorry but I will not be able to give you a good review I just don't feel like you too are "dog people" He runs my card then I say I'm suprised you are charging me full price when I'm walking out mid service with a wet dog. He then says would like me to not charge you and I said I think that is what I would do if I had an unhappy customer. He credits my card I walk out and he mumbles smartly " have a great day" read more

Very disappointed in Pit Stop today. I took my very dirty dog there to give him a wash, and was told that they were getting ready to close, and they had already cleaned up their bath area. Wondered if I could come back tomorrow. Since they close at 6:00 pm, I would have understood if was was 5:45. But it was only 5:10, a full 50 minutes before closing. I think the employees were a little too interested in heading home and a little too uninterested in customer service. read more

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Most of the positive ratings are OLD. Things are good at this store until you have an issue or complaint and then the staff and owner completely change their demeanor. The groomer charges for services she does not perform and finds a way to increase your bill for unnecessary services. Her skills are low compared to other grooming choices in the Milton area. The staff show be much more educated about the products stocked in the store but can do little more than read the packing and share that information. This place started with great promise but now completely disappoints. read more
