I came in here to look for treats that I could give to my 12 year old dog who has a sensitive stomach. I hadn't been able to give her any treats for a few years because she ended up either throwing up or having diarrhea - yeah, just from eating treats. This store is on the small side, but they pack in a lot of various inventory, and the woman that was working that day had an extremely positive and energetic personality. The checkout area is in the middle of the store, so employees can see everything going on. The employee was behind the register ringing someone up, and when I walked in, she called out a warm hello to me. I looked for dog treats and found some commercially bagged ones, but it didn't look like any of them were specifically for dogs with sensitive stomachs. The employee came directly to me after helping her last customer, and asked me if she could help me find anything. I told her that I had a small dog who had a sensitive stomach, so she told me that she had some baked ones at the table closer to the door, and walked with me to where they were located. They looked like cookies or crackers. She told me that there were baked treats with different flavors, like blueberry, pumpkin and others. I told her that I was wary of buying a bunch of treats, especially since I was unsure how they would affect my dog, so she just started selecting a few of the treats for me to take so my dog could sample them at home. She gave me four of them for free. I thanked her for her help and left, happy that I could try these treats on my dog. I later gave my dog small bits of each cookie. She loved them and they didn't affect her at all. Great find! read more

I was looking for a small cake or treat for my puppy's 1st birthday but didn't want to try the ones in my area based on the reviews. I decided to come to this particular location and I was so happy! (About 45 minutes from my job during rush hour) My puppy loved alll his little treats but I didn't let him eat them all at one time (He's a 4lbs Maltipoo) I also wanted to make sure he didn't have allergic reaction which he didn't. :) The lady at the front was very nice and polite which is so refreshing. Very hard to find nowadays for a good customer service. She reminded me not to leave the treats in the car due to hot weather and I was grateful for it. I gave them a call and they were very friendly and eager to answer all of my questions and made me feel at ease as well as excited about Max trying their delicious looking treats. I took Max with me to pick out his treats and we were greeted with the same warm friendly service as over the phone. We walked around the store they had lots of treats, cakes, and other things you would need for your pup. I got Max a woof cake which was made out of oat flour and carrots and yogurt frosting. I bought my dog Theo a birthday cake at dog city in Sandy Springs and he loved the cake. The best part of the cake is that it last a while in the freezer(2 months). After giving him a piece for his birthday, I portioned the rest of the cake out into zip lock bags and defrosted them when ready to serve. I was thrilled to find this spot. The store is adorable to begin with. There are dozens of unique dog chews (meat and veggie) and a large table full of home made all natural doggie treats. They have a great assortment of accessories ( harnesses, collars, bows, bowls etc.) and unique gift items. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and the two little boston terriers that greet you when you walk in will melt your heart :). I came in to buy my fur baby a small birthday cake and grabbed a few treats as well. They have dog food for sale as well and get this- bottles of non alcoholic doggie brew! Super cute! Dog City Bakery II is a very sweet holistic pet food store. The inside is beautiful and has a decent selection of familiar holistic brand products and pet food. I was looking for a specific brand and flavor of dog food and thought I would stop in to see if they carried it. After a quick scan around the food isle, I noticed they did carry the brand, but not the flavor I needed. The two ladies behind the counter checked in with me to see if I had found what I needed, and then quickly pointed out the bag I was looking for. I had missed it on the "Unclaimed Orders" discount rack! I love discounts! Duke absolutely loved his birthday cupcake and Beer(LOL beef broth to much fun!!!) The ladies at the Sandy Springs store are beyond informative and caring and go above and beyond. I was going to possibly change foods an they went over and beyond to give me samples to make sure what Duke would like and they would special order for me and even called to check up on us. We did not order this food but not due to their selection because it's great and the cost is comparable so while you get the fun boutique feel they are affordable and worth the stop in. They have individual natural snacks you can pick up for a special treat and i love they bake there own puppy snacks and you can grab a bag and fill it up with as much or little as you like. I originally went in just to look. I went in and fell in love with the boston terrier lying in the sun right inside the shop. Finally, I started looking at the harnesses and thought about getting a new one. I started talking to a lady that works there and we got on the subject of food. She told me how amazing raw food diets are for dogs, especially small dogs like mine. She went over a ton of different things and different brands for raw food. We also talked about treats for my dog since he is 10 and Yorkies tend to lose their teeth as they get older. I was given several samples of food for my dog to try.
