Staff are very patient and friendly -- there were the 2 owners and 2 other staff. So all the customers were well taken care of. The restaurant was packed. It's small only a few tables. My friend and I grabbed a seat at the high top table. Their menu was larger than expected for a cafe! Quite a lot of options for sandwiches. We both tried the Breakfast Sandwich -- it's a croissant panini-grilled with 2 poached eggs, cheese, hash brown and choice of bacon or sausage. It was satisfying without being too greasy or oily. I had a regular drip coffee with cream. It was ok! They do have a small coffee menu. Not alternative dairy. Lastly, we tried the Borsch soup! When we learned the owners were Polish, we knew that we had to try the Polish items on the menu. The Borscht was light and fragrant. Loved it so much, we bought a container from their to-go fridge! We've taken photos and kept proof of purchase, and the incident has already been reported to Halton Region Public Health and Firehouse Subs corporate. Food safety and hygiene should be the bare minimum. After this experience, I would never order from here again and would strongly caution others.
