I have eaten here many times and normally Lloyd their food. This last time I was there their customer service was non-existent. My go to order is the combination feast with swappping the regular chicken for spicy chIcken. Well apparently they no longer allow substitutions for essentially the same meat with seasoning//marinade. They just lost a long time customer. Customer service goes a long way with me. Got the falafel which was exquisite with a hint of cilantro and the spicy chili chicken which had a beautiful deep red colored sauce and had great taste ( delicate middle eastern spices). Cucumber sauce on the side was refreshing. I picked as my sides, the lebanese salad and lebanese style hummus. Owner and woman working there were very polite and take pride in their food. i Have ordered 4 times and every time it was the Sultans Feast. 1st time it was perfect! 2nd time was good but had very little rice 3rd time I got no pitas and no falafel. I called and they were very nice and gave me them, but I had to drive all the way back and home again. 4th time was today...well I got no food. I called at 7:10 pm. They close at 8pm. I ordered the sultans feast, the guy flat out said "no". I said huh? He replied, "we have no rice". I just said fine and hung up. I'll prob try again, but I'm pretty disappointed. read more

Something different happened today. The sauces taste and consistency are different, the food were really dry and I think they forgot to put the hummus in my shawarma. I bought food as I was talking a lot about it with my friend who never had kabob but it was a fail. The food service was fast and the food was warm. I went there for the second time yesterday. I ordered the combination plate and this time I substituted the kifta for chicken. I had the kifta the first time and wasn't a fan. I don't think it is a reflection on them as it was my first time having kifta and just didn't care for it. I must say the food was consistently good. Nice size portions for the money. I stretched it and made a couple of meals. Overall, I am a happy character and the only reason that they got a 4 star instead of 5 is because I was missing the falafel on my plate when I got home. So I came here for lunch break on Saturday and ordered a chicken kabob with hummus and garlic sauce and a side salad. Took my debit card out, and for some reason it wouldn't work on their machine. The card worked earlier at target/Starbucks but wouldn't here. I didn't have cash or any other card to pay with and the owner said not to Worry about it and to pay whenever I get a chance. I mentioned that I don't live in the area and I'm not there often, and he said it was totally fine. What awesome customer service. I will continue to go here because of the owners generosity (and the food of course) anytime I'm in the area! The chicken was well seasoned and the homemade hummus was delicious! I went to this location a few weeks ago when it first opened as I had heard great things about the other one on 59 and schaumburg road. It was very busy during lunch and it took them a while to get my order out but my gosh the food was great!! I had the falafel wrap, combination feast and a bavaria. The falafels had a crunchy exterior and a soft, pillowy interior. Paired with the hot jalapeno sauce it was something special. The combination was lots of food and I especially loved the chicken shawarma and lebanese salad. Garlic sauce is a must to try. Since my first time, I've been back twice and tried the shawarma wraps and hummus. Service is now very quick and the food is just amazing. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu. So happy this location was opened. I used to travel 25 min to get to the Streamwood location, because it is that good, but now, it's a quick 5 min trip from my house. Add to it that it's on my way to work and they get plenty of business from me. Great food and great customer service. Between the two locations, I have tried everything on the menu. My personal favorite is the Beef Kefta wraps, but it appears that is going to be a seasonal item now. Right behind it though is the Chicken Shwarma wrap. Such a refreshing combination of flavors. If you are in a flavor rut, try it out. It will get you back on track. One secret item that I think people are passing on that they shouldn't, is the Tandoori burger. I tried this for the first time last week, and must say that I was amazed how much I enjoyed it. Again, a flavor explosion that I was not expecting. So good! Take a chance and try it out. If you find yourself in the area, do not hesitate to check this place out. Quality of food dropped but not the price. Also, server was rude and mean. The chicken wrap and plate didn't include enough chicken but was full of red onions to make up for the chicken. If you enjoy middle eastern cuisine then this is just ok. I have spent a good amount of time in Dearborn, Michigan where the middle eastern is the best in the U.S. In my opinion. This is just ok though. The tahini is bland for dipping the falafel in. The chicken and meat schawarma is ok. They didn't have any baklava today, so maybe next time. The biggest downside is it's expensive. For a $13 mixed plate its seemed small. Also, its strange to me that hummus isn't included with every plate. read more

I've driven past a few times but finally stopped today, small, clean place with plenty of room to eat in. I was honestly disappointed in my vegetarian Falafel plate. The chickpeas came out a bit too fried and the Basmati rice in clumps at times. The hummus and bread was good but again I felt it being a too "fast food" more than the usual Pita places I stop in. The food here is awesome! We just went for lunch and both got the lunch special - two main choices and two sides per plate, plus a pita and sauces. I got chicken shawarma and beef kifta with hummus and Lebanese salad. My husband got the shawarma and falafel with rice and hummus. Everything was just delicious. The shawarma was juicy and flavorful, spiced well and charred just so at the edges like it should be. The falafel was seriously the best we've ever had - and we've had plenty - it was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, not dry at all. Sooo good. The kifta was also really mouth-watering. The sides were all spot on. We could both kill a vampire with our garlic breath, but who cares with food that tasty? We're sorry we didn't get the spicy chicken with all the positive reviews, but we'll be back for sure. First time (I think?) at the South Elgin location and there are a few differences I spotted. I say "I think" it's my first time here because I'm almost positive that it originally opened under a different name. Yes, now I remember. It used to be "simply kabobs" and I first heard of it thru Groupon. Heard of this location thru the folks at Pita BBQ on rt. 59. My fiancé is a fan of the unusually red Spicy Chicken. He noticed that the chicken at this location, although still nice and tender, was a different cut and texture. Bigger chicken chunks, more cubed rather than shredded. He prefers the shreddier version because there is more sauce. I like this version because the meat is more tender and juicy. The other difference is the absence of tea and iced tea. Not a huge deal, but I used to like when the other location offered an Arabian type hot tea. Despite the differences, still think this place is decent and glad they're expanding. I recommend the combo dinner plate. Tons of meat and good chance to try the different kinds for $13. Big enough to share between two. Also tastes good as leftovers if you don't feel like sharing! read more

I'll start by saying that I was highly excited to find out that a Mediterranean style dining establishment had finally graced our area. My wife and I generally travel to either Pita Puff, Pita House or Pita Inn for this kind of food. Stopped in last week and tried a chicken kabob shish kabob sandwich. It's basically chunks of grilled white meat rolled inside of a large, thin pita, along with some tomato, onion and cucumber. I graced this sandwich with some of their homemade hot sauce and that white Lebanese garlicky sauce that restaurants like these serve. Pure heaven. It's pretty simple, but the sauces make it something special. I have also tried their chicken kabob plate (meal) which is the same kind of chicken served over a bed of saffron rice alongside some salad, with some pita bread on the side. I liked this equally, and really just ended up dumping all of my meal ingredients into my pita, along with copious amounts of hot and white sauce. This was also delicious. For me, what makes a place like this is the flavor of the sauces and dressings. It's very good here. I wouldn't compare it to others, since it's pretty much different from others. But it's very good and I was told they are homemade. The hot sauce isn't overly spicy like some others are. You can use quite a bit of this without making your meal unbearably hot. My fear is that they will not draw in enough customers here. Nothing has really lasted in this location. If people check this place out, they will like it and return. I highly recommend it. If I had liked their baklava better (didn't enjoy it at all), I might have given them 5 stars. It was dry and crusty without much flavor for my tastes. Check the place out. read more

This is a new restaurant, only open about 3-4 weeks, in South Elgin. We decided to stop in and check it out, and were pleased overall with the location and the food. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, particularly for a "fast food" type of place. Their menu is simple, but very clear- and nice to look at on the wall, and I also like that they have a kids menu. We tried the gyro plate and the beef shwarma plate- my gyro meat was a touch dry, but everything else was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed both the Lebanese salad and the slaw (very different from American slaw though), and the Baklava dessert was delicious. The restaurant itself is very spacious, with many types of seating including two huge sections for large groups. The employees seemed friendly, and I was given a free beverage while I waited for my food to be prepared. Overall, a very pleasant experience. We will definitely be back to try out a few of the other items on the menu. read more
