    Chicken shawarma salad bowl
    Nicki R.

so happy that i was recommended to try this mediterranean spot, in my area customer service: nice staff, clean place food: i loved their salad options- for my veggies i got lettuce, pickles, banana peppers, tomatoes, turnips, tabouli, onions and mushrooms, then some hot sauce and tzatziki. the chicken was crispy and had it's own flavor which was great- i usually find that other restaurants have bland chicken and fill the bowl with sauces. it was a little pricey- i got charged extra cause i added more veggies and they weren't very generous but overall, the bowl was very delicious

The wraps here are solid but be careful because feta, jalapeños, tabouli, olives, etc. will cost you extra. I got the 12' falafel wrap with all the extras for around $14 with no drink or sides. The falafel wrap was great with all the additions. The falafel was great because of all the add ons which added tons of flavor and keep the falafel moist but overall I thought it was expensive. I know, I know, eating out is expensive but this is only worth the money if you are craving a solid wrap. If you get a wrap without the extras and aren't that hungry you can get a 8.5' wrap for around $8-$11 with no drink or sides. Check it out for yourself...

Eat here all the time, best shawarma around. The prices have gone up recently though. Staff is friendly.

Ryan is the founder of the business, which he runs with family and friends. We got to meet Riott, his son, who had a love for skulls and all Halloween decorations at this eatery. This place specializes in sandwiches. Many of their meats are slow-cooked for ten hours. Sauces, soups, and slaw are homemade. We ordered many items off the menu and had what we liked: - Jalapeno and house slaws - Chickpea and ham soup - Roasted garlic and tomato soup - The Brooklyn (Italian) - Hot corned beef - Montreal smoked meat - Slicey's chopped chicken - Chicken club wrap I started with the hot corned beef sandwich. The corned beef was generous and so flavourful. The rye bread held all that tender corned beef together, along with the best grainy mustard aioli. I am a soup girl. I enjoyed the roasted garlic and tomato soup. It had the perfect amount of garlic with tomatoes, along with onions and spices. It was a comforting, smooth soup. The chickpea and ham soup was excellent. It had nice cubes of ham with chickpeas. It was so hearty and delicious. I also love slaw. The jalapeno and house slaws were crunchy. The former was creamy with a touch of heat. The latter was vinegar-based. You get the best of both slaw dressing worlds! I then had the Montreal smoked meat. It was full of the most tender smoked meat on rye bread with mustard. So good! I'm not sure how I managed to down Slicey's chopped chicken sandwich. It was so good that I did! It had slow-cooked chicken that was chopped with tomato, and red onion. It included the jalapeno slaw, along with white cheddar. It was messy to eat, but so worth it. The flavours were outstanding. This business supports other local businesses. The bread comes from a local bakery. It also features Purple Tongue hot sauces. Staff are super friendly and kind. They can craft a sandwich to your liking if you go with The Riott. There were two separate washroom stalls. I used one of them before I left this eatery. It was clean. No complaints. It's a comfortable place to hang out with friends over good food and drinks. I ended up having a Diet Coke and Crush cream soda during the two hours that we were here. They were cold and refreshing. It's street parking for three hours. It's free, which is nice. Alternatively, there is a parking lot across from this eatery. I look forward to returning for more good eats and soup. It's a gem of a sandwich place that happens to have awesome soups and slaw. (391)

The husband and wife team were working away behind the counter and young Ryan was spending time with his family and his toys; Genuine wholesome service. I spoke with the owners and they shared that they always enjoyed supporting local sandwich shops, but after their favorites closed they decided to open their own. I love that . Bread is fresh daily from a local bakery. Depeding on the day they can sell out of items but that just speaks to popularity and freshness. We ordered a bunch of different items and split them all. Sandwiches are loaded with bright, fresh toppings. I also LOVE that they support local and even have my FAVORITE hotsauce in store. Purple tongue. I highly recommend adding the cilantro lime to any sandwich. It compliments them so well. The Brooklyn (Italian) Hot Corned Beef Montreal Smoked Meat Slicey's Chopped Chicken Chicken Club Wrap Jalapeno & House Slaw Chickpea and Ham Soup Megan's Roasted Garlic Tomato Soup The Italian was definitely a favorite and the Slicey's Chopped Chicken was so incredibly tender. The tomato soup was quite flavorful and another fan favorite for our group. There's lots to see in this area, so we even went for a stroll after our amazing luncheon .

But then I wanted something elevated for celebration (of surviving this week). Burgers on Fleek was perfect for this! We ordered: - The Melt : Beef patty with swiss cheese, mushrooms, sautéed onions, lettuce, tomato, and garlic mayo. - The Classic :Beef patty with lettuce, tomato, pickles, sautéed onions, and store special "Fleek" sauce. - Poutine Burgers were excellent!!! Pillow-y fluffy super soft brioche buns with thick juicy beefy patties, veggies were super fresh and crispy. Loved "The Melt". Mushrooms kept moist and crunchy texture, perfect thickness and done-ness, super flavourful, matching perfectly with melted Swiss cheese. Poutine's gravy had spiciness to it, which was not my liking. But the cheese was stretchy indicating good quality. If I got this eat-in, it must have tasted different (much better). But this is a Burger joint, and their burgers are EXCELLENT! Therefore, 5 stars.
