The surgery alone was estimated to cost around $29,000, not including the cost of orthodontic treatment afterward. When I came to Dr. Yamada for a second opinion, she took the time to carefully evaluate my case and developed her own treatment plan. Instead of immediately recommending surgery, she found a way to successfully straighten my teeth without it. I am incredibly grateful for her expertise, thoroughness, and willingness to think beyond the standard approach. The entire experience was excellent from start to finish. I also had two very sensitive lower teeth, and Gabby, Dr. Yamada's assistant, was always exceptionally gentle and careful when working around them. Her kindness and attention to my comfort never went unnoticed. Dr. Yamada is knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate, and truly dedicated to her patients. Sadly I had a horrible experience at this doctor. I came in December of 2024 after a traumatic…read moreaccident had broken a tooth and my fixed retainer behind my top teeth. I had the fixed retainer for over 15 years without an issue after getting orthodontic treatment as a teen in France. While my tooth got fixed, and the inside of my mouth healed after the accident, my top teeth moved. I had an initial consult with Dr Brenn and I made it very clear that I wanted another permanent retainer like the one I had. They told me no problem. During my consult they also said they would angle my teeth down. After returning home, I emailed them that this was a concern to me, because I didn't want to bite down on my retainer. They called me and reassured me that there would be no problem. During my treatment which laster over a year (much longer than originally planned), I repeatedly reminded them that I wanted the fixed retainer. I also told them that I was experiencing a LOT of jaw pain, which was dismissed as "you must be clenching". When my treatment was finally over, they said there would be no room for the permanent retainer, that I would bite down on it. I reminded them of their initial promise and my old email, and they reluctantly said that they would try, but I should probably go somewhere else. I did go somewhere else and got a permanent Memotain retainer installed. While getting scanned at this other doctor, I finally realized that the jaw pain I was experiencing was due to the way Dr Brenn ALTERED MY BITE! They changed my bite by angling my top teeth down so my bottom teeth hit my top teeth in two places, causing PERMANENT PAIN! I will eventually have to get another orthodontic treatment to fix the damage they did! I emailed them with all this information, asking for a partial refund, considering I had to pay a retainer somewhere else, and will have to get another treatment later if I want to ease the pain. 3 weeks later I got a letter in the mail saying they won't refund me. They are horrible doctors! They will tell you what you want to hear then backtrack later. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes and are actually negligent and unprofessional. They are like a factory, with no personalized treatment, you will be seen one by one like on an assembly line. The office and equipments are outdated, the doctor is rude and dismissive. I absolutely regret getting my treatment done here, and I am warning everyone who is thinking of going there, don't do it!

When we've had to change appointments or come in for emergency bracket repair or replacement, it's never been a problem. The office has always made time for us. I could write a book on the entire process from start to finish on all the reasons Dr. Fotovat is the right choice for your child's (or your) orthodontic needs. We really appreciated his measured approach with our boys who had very different orthodontic needs. He checked our boys every six months for a couple of years before determining the time was right for them to begin their orthodontic journeys. Our older son's teeth were fairly straight, but he had a bit of an overbite that needed correcting. He only needed one phase with the braces starting toward the end of middle school and was done by the end of his freshman year in high school. Our younger son had a multitude of issues from overcrowding to crooked teeth to a major underbite. Dr. Fotovat worked on him in two phases, beginning when he was eight years old. After completing the first phase which included expanders and one round of braces, he waited to start the final phase until his jaw growth slowed down to ensure the best possible outcome. Both boys have the most beautiful smiles now. We could not be happier with their outcomes. Dr. Fotovat really cares about his patients, and he cares about their outcomes. I knew I wanted to start Invisalign, so I went in for a consultation in October of 2024, where Evita was very thorough when explaining what I should expect in the process, the differing lengths in visits throughout my treatment, and most importantly, a transparent and comprehensive view of the finances that went into my treatment. Throughout my treatment, the team was able to accommodate my appointments to my schedule, the let me know if payments had to go out at a different time than agreed upon, I was always sent texts for appt confirmation, and my visits were timely and consistent. When adjustments had to be made, Dr. Massih was sure to let me know exactly what would happen next and gave me timeline of events as my teeth moved. I finished my treatment a little before I was set to finish, which was a nice surprise.
