After my experience at Smile Design Burbank, I can't stop smiling from ear to ear--not only because my teeth now look so stellar, but because I am thrilled with how smooth and positive the entire process was from start to finish. I was in serious need of teeth whitening and wanted to improve the appearance of two teeth that had worn-down composite bondings from my adolescence. After doing my research and looking at different options and reviews, I can confidently say I hit the jackpot by choosing this dental office over the rest. Dr. Shant Aharonian is genuinely one of, if not THE best in the dentistry industry. He is warm, transparent, immensely knowledgeable with his craft, and truly cares about helping his patients achieve their smile goals without pushing unnecessary services onto them. His super assistants, Amanda and Jasmine are also very kind professionals that do an excellent job at communicating and making sure you're comfortable at all times (even post-visit!). From the moment you step into their office, you are instantly attended to, feel at ease, and like you're being guided by the best throughout every step of the way. Something worth noting was how modern and technologically-advanced every aspect of Dr. Shant's practice is. I've been to countless dentist offices in the past that stay trapped in another era and stick to old fashioned machinery/products. I'm so thankful that Smile Design actually keeps up with the times and pushes the envelope with its tech. Highlights for me were: ceiling TV + headphones while having work done, custom 3D printed tools, Japanese-imported temporary veneer glue (really keeps those suckers in there), and a nifty wand that takes 3D imaging of your entire smile in real time. Not to mention the office itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing! The services I had done were also a 10/10 experience with no pain or sensitivity felt whatsoever. The Zoom whitening process was very straight-forward and pleasant over all. It comprised of two sessions having gel applied to my teeth followed by a UV light to help penetrate the enamel. The results were excellent and the color of my teeth has lightened immensely because of it. The final touch to my new smile was having two custom veneers created and applied. Dr. Shant works directly with some of the most incredible ceramicists in LA who put so much detail into their veneers and give them the most natural look that help blend seamlessly into your smile. After consulting and having molds taken, the enamel beneath was shaven down, temporary veneers were applied and left on for two weeks while the ceramics were perfected. Any issues with my temporaries were immediately tended to which always kept me at ease. After the final product was ready and cemented, I was completely blown away by the results. The color matching to my other teeth was "chef's kiss" and the shape/detail are simply out of this world. The before and after pictures I'm posting with this review will tell you everything you need to know. In conclusion, Dr. Shant did a fabulous job at improving my smile and was also kind enough to include a free custom mouth guard to protect my veneers from future damage. I am genuinely so grateful to have crossed paths with Smile Design and can't recommend them enough. Dr. Shant is an expert in cosmetic dentistry, veneers, and natural smile makeovers. I came to Smile Design Burbank for porcelain veneers and to have my silver metal fillings replaced with porcelain fillings. Dr. Shant uses the latest technology to provide efficient appointments. The metal fillings were replaced in one appointment with his CEREC milling machine without the need for any temporary restorations. This was a great service because I did not need to take extra time off of work for extra appointments. This was all done in a very comfortable manner. Dr. Shant has a very gentle hand and the work was nearly painless! Prior to completing my porcelain veneers, I had zoom whitening done in the office. Whitening appointments can be long and boring but Smile Design Burbank has TV's mounted in the ceiling and noise canceling headphones. Watching Netflix while getting dental work done is a game changer! As for the porcelain veneers: Dr. Shant guided me through the whole process. We began with pictures in his photo studio and he used digital smile design software to show me a rendering of what my future smile would look like, prior to working on any teeth. The final product was a natural and vibrant new smile. The porcelain veneer prices were much more affordable than other cosmetic dentists in the LA area. I am a new patient and had an extraordinary experience for my first visit today.  Right off the bat, they have parking! In the building there were plenty of visitor spaces as well as spaces devoted specifically for Smile Design Burbank(Suite 203). You walk into the office and are greeted by a beautiful modern designed office. Floor to ceiling windows, lots of open air and everything looks and feels brand new. TV screens on the ceiling during your appointment and headphones too boot! The entire staff was incredibly nice and greeted me by name. They do their best to put you at ease and are just delightful across the board. I filled out some prelim forms on my phone which was super easy and seamless.   Went in for my x-rays. Typically I struggle with the x-rays because of the back pictures. They did the best job of any x-ray I have had in the 37 years I have been going to dentists. In and out as fast as possible while also nailing the photos. Super throughout examination, followed by a deep cleaning. Dr. Shant is super friendly and seemed to know more about all things dental than any dentist I have ever met. With the super modern office comes some of the most cutting edge tech stuff I have ever seen when it comes to teeth. In my past experiences all this tech just leads to more upselling. This could not be further from the truth here! After doing all the amazing scans and computer imaging Dr. Shant took a conservative approach of "Yea lets watch that one, see you in 6 months". This is the best whitening experience I have ever had. I was referred to Dr. Aharonian by someone and I am so glad I went. First off, the office is beautiful, chic, clean and modern, very aesthetically pleasing. The staff is very friendly, sweet and welcoming. Dr. Aharonian does the whitening himself which I personally really like because it goes to show how much he cares about every patient and each prodecure no matter how minute it is. Not to say that his other staff don't assist because they do but I personally don't like when doctors pawn off certain tasks to their assistants and not follow up with the patient personally. So Far Dr Shant is the best choice I made in finding a dentist. You are greeted by a wonderful, sweet, front desk receptionist when you walk in not to mention that the building is super clean, nice parking structure underground, and easy access.. Then the doctors assistant was super nice too, friendly and made you feel welcomed. Dr Shant was super charming and calming. He really listened to my concerns. Their office is modern and up to date with all the new technology for dentistry. I had been bouncing around to different Dentists cause I have had terrible experiences at other dentists with fillings, crowns, veneers and cleanings and I havent found one that I really like who doesn't make my mouth hurt after just a cleaning. I haven't had the best luck with dentists; I'm sure people can relate. I came to Smile Design three months after my dentist fixed a tooth, and it promptly fell off. I needed someone better to do the work. Upon doing my research, Smile Design seemed like the perfect fit. I called for a consultation and met him the following week. The reception staff is kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. Dr Shant Aharonian is cheerful and pleasant. The office is clean, spacious, and bright. (Glass walls and windows everywhere, which he explained is part of his method). He started by using all the latest technology to take my X-rays, make a mold of my teeth, and take reference photos. He went through the best options for fixing my tooth without making me feel pressured to have him do the work. Ultimately, I decided to have him put caps on both my front teeth. The process took about three hours. I was comfortable (although the water gun did drench me at times) from start to finish. I was provided with excellent headphones and Netflix to watch. The doctor matched the color to my teeth perfectly (the natural light from the windows helped with this), and after consulting me every step of the way, the shape looks very natural and exactly how I wanted it to look. Smile Design scheduled a follow-up appointment to ensure I was happy with the work. The price was very fair for the time and effort he put in, and although I have only had these caps for a few weeks, I am confident that the work will hold and will definitely return for all cosmetic work needed. read more

Hello, all reading this review ^.^ Here's what you need to know! -I was able to call in my appointment and get scheduled without having to step into the office ahead of time, and i was able to give my insurance info to confirm that my cleaning would be covered :) -If you allow them, they give you text updates for your appointments, which, for me, was very convenient! -If you ask, they are also able to let you know what would be covered under your insurance plan and how much would be out of pocket before they do any work. -Parking is in the structure under the building where it is labeled guest parking or in the correct suite numbered spots. -If you have any questions, just call and ask! The receptionist, Amanda, is super knowledgeable and helpful! -The dentist , Shant, was very approachable! He taught me a lot of stuff that I never knew about my old fillings and kept me informed the whole way! Lastly, for me, he gave me a detailed list of what work I would need done and sent me my plan via text which was a break down of what work was finished and what work still needed to be scheduled!
