More importantly, the service was exceptional. The mother and son made us feel like guests in their home, not just another table. You waited 32 minutes? Good food made from scratch sometimes takes time. I'd rather wait for a fresh meal than get something thrown together in five minutes. As for the "healthy food" comment, that wasn't an excuse it was an explanation. Not everything has to be drowning in butter, salt, or grease to taste good. Maybe the restaurant wasn't the problem.
