Wow! First time there today and it was exactly what my craving wanted! My husband and i got the Gyro wrap with no tomato and large frys. Very clean inside as well! These are LARGE fries. We did not finish them there and ate them after. I would put a bit more salt on them but regardless, very good and were fresh! The gyro, they sure did make it worth the price! Need a decent gyro? You'll find it here, with delicious and authentic tzatziki to boot. It's an order at the counter spot, with tables and chairs a bit crammed into the space. Granted, I use a large power wheelchair to get around but I still found it difficult. Mid afternoon, wasn't packed. Drinks are self serve from a fountain so I could mix my diet and regular twist. Husband had a grilled chicken souvlaki salad to avoid carbs. He generally hates salad and chicken breast, but with tzatziki on the side he gave it a grudging grin. This was not an indulgent meal, so we ignored the crispy pan of baklava calling us from the counter. I've had it before and it's perfectly tasty, not overwhelming as so many can be. Fries are an add on with sandwiches, but they seem to be pre-coated and probably very processed. We ate maybe less than 1/4 of the order between us. Plenty of platters and Greek classics to choose from. There's definitely better out there but not in Surprise. Some swear by Nick's and Richi's but their food is way too greasy for my taste. Doesn't come close to the Chicago Greek casual restaurants, but Pita Wraps can cover when you need a quick bite. Got an extra 20 minutes? Counter girl was very nice. Ambiance.....none. Friday late lunchtime but no line. A table of three were waiting for their food when we walked in. I wanted a chicken kabob pita but was told it would take 18 minutes to cook so I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak, he had the regular Gyro. Gyro was very good including Tzatziki sauce but the Philly cheesesteak was sad and scanty with what looked like Steak-ums meat, a sprinkle of green pepper and onion and "Swiss cheese food product", not real Swiss cheese. Bread was very good. We ordered and were halfway done when the three-top finally got their food. So the food is cooked fresh (yay!) but it takes time for some items. Price point is a little high, especially $9.50 for the "cheesesteak". Gyros Pita was good so I'll go back and try something else. read more

We were in the area for an appointment. We wanted some lunch and checked Yelp. Found this place and based on reviews and pics decided to give it a try. Fast food places should provide table napkin duspensers. Especially when you hand out one skimpy napkin with the meal. The greek salad was good except for the cucunbers which were cut into rounds cut a little thick. Plus they were not peeled and the peel was kind of hard. Either peel the cukes or charge a little more and use the more delicious english cucumbers. No peeling required. Save money by asking if people if they want those kalamata olives which are expensive and so strong and salty. Use roma tomatoes which are less expensive. $11 for lettuce, tomato and cucumber is a bit steep. The pita bread served with was very good. The greek fries were very good. They come coated with something and sprinkled with crumbled feta. So good. Pepsi product fountain drinks to serve yourself, works for me. Too far for me to return and won't stop by if in the area. read more

I was having mixed feelings about this place. It's got new owners. The prices went up. My wife orders the gyro and it was stuffed with meat and very good. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was the saddest thing I ever seen. It wouldn't fill a child up. It cost 10 bucks for it. I returned the sandwich and the owner and daughter were very nice to refund my money. I just want to warn people to not order the Philly but everything else is very good and large size. Upon entering you are greeted with the normal Greek food smell from the lamb rack visible right there in the kitchen :) the staff was friendly and allowed us plenty of time to review the menu without rushing us. We ended up ordering the Steak Kebab Platter which includes 6 plump pieces of steak (cooked to order of medium rare), a generous helping of rice, a 9-inch Pita wrap, and a good sized Greek salad. Now to the bad. The restaurant wasn't clean, it was very old style with uncomfortable wooden chairs and 1990s tables and the floors were dirty looking down the yellow lit hallway next to the tiny soda dispenser with the standard 5 options. The pita itself was small and tasteless, the steak was tender but missing flavoring, the tzatziki was flavorless thin yogurt, the salad vinaigrette was obviously concentrated raspberry, but overall the salad was good portion and fresh and the yellow rice was good when you add some salt to wake it up. Overall we left not impressed for the price we paid, at all. We won't be returning. read more

Drove by this place today and decided to give them a try. I ordered their combo plate which has 2 meats of choice (mine were chicken and steak schwarma - you can also pick gyro or chicken gyro). I was in town and wanted something I couldn't get at home. I had the steak pita wrap and some feta fries. First off the staff was very cordial and friendly. This was extremely refreshing. The cook also gave me some great advice on how to keep their fries crispy, since my order was to go . He advised me not to seal the top of the bag because the steam from the hot food would make the fries soggy. Great advice!! I just drove and drove after the gym and ended up in Surprise. So I stopped at Pita Wraps for lunch. Knowing I wanted froyo therapy I got a salad. I got the gyro Greek salad and it was delicious. I finally said just forget it and picked at the chicken but didn't finish it. Very odd seasoning. The texture of the chicken tells me it came out of a bag and just got warmed up. Hardly any veggies was added to the sandwich. Not a fan of this place! I'm shocked it has decent reviews. I wonder if these people have ever had good pitas before! Lastly, I was taken back by the owners rude remark he passed at me. I asked if he had chicken shawarma on the menu because their menu is overwhelming with options in which he responded with "look at the menu you can't see it?". Food was ok, not great. Ok enough to satisfy a hungry belly, but not "you have to try this place". They lost 2 stars due to none of the employees wearing masks. I did not notice this until we were walking out the door and I happened to glance at the kitchen. We ordered a few items to include the chicken shawarma and a falafel bowl. The tzatziki sauce was terrible. It was diluted to the point of being extremely runny and had zero flavor. This is a family owned business. Mom and pop on the grills and son at the register. The son had his airpods in and was using his laptop so he did not hear the phone ringing. The father had to shout out to him to alert him to the ringing phone. I stumbled upon this little gem the other day on my way home from the gym and was really impressed. I ordered the combination plate of chicken gyro and regular gyro meat (lamb/beef mix I believe). I was initially taken aback by the price, it was ~$20 for the plate but it all made sense when they handed me my bag. This thing had to have been ateast a few pounds of food. The plate came with a large greek side salad and sauces (tzatziki and another). The meat was very flavorful and moist, extremely tasty. I'm really surprised I'm saying this but the shinning star of the meal was actually the rice. Normally the rice is an after thought and it gets wasted unfortunately but the rice that came with the meal was incredible, every bite popped with flavor. I had to have my entire family try it because it was so delicious. Everyone was blown away. I'm not sure what they put in it but it was hands down the best rice I've ever had. Great location for picking up a meal to go. Meal quality and pricing are exceptional value. The ambiance is not a high priority, the quality of service is there. The food has always been fresh, and folks working have always been friendly and courteous. It would appear that customer traffic is increasing. We've been there three times in the last 15 months, and have not been disappointed. For a quick meal either to go, or a quick meal stop on the way, this place works well!
