I came here while traveling for work. First, it's in a beautiful location right on the harbor. I loved the corner location and the cobblestone streets. I was told to come here and try a Cruffin, but sadly they were out. I got a vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant and both were great. The only reasons I deducted a star are because the staff seemed pretty disinterested and the customer wifi didn't work. Made it over here around noon and was filled with socially distanced patrons mostly in work or student mode. A good sized space with high ceilings and a nice outdoor space with some water views. Ordered a cappuccino and can only assume they're serious about coffee as I saw-a first-Tumeric Latte (maybe next time). My Capp was excellent with the right foam to milk ratio. Got a couple of sandwiches and pastries to try and share. The Egg and Prosciutto was the main reason for the visit and it didn't disappoint. Wasn't sure about Prosciutto and egg together but it was a revelation! Arugula and Salsa Verde take it over the top. & speaking of Prosciutto looks like they're pretty serious here also as I saw a Cooler with a statement about the origins (family owned farm in Parma) and why they directly import bone-in Prosciutto. Sounds & tasted great to me! I asked what other sandwich should I try? Red it is. A bit of a different combo given the Tomato Focaccia vs Croissant & Avocado. Again, so simple and so good! Picked up some desserts also. Cruffin-wow! A baked Frankenstein mix of muffin and croissant with a hint of lemon custard filling -don't leave without it! Cherry Tart and Chocolate Chip Cookie were also excellent! I didn't see the Porchetta from Yelp pictures on the menu so maybe a seasonal item? Service was friendly and patient with my questions. Pitango is a staple in Fells Point. Excellent place to grab coffee and get work done with plenty of seating! The service is always excellent and I have been there more times than I can count. I would recommend limiting driving here as much as possible because like most places in this area, it's all street parking and it can oftentimes be limited. read more

None of the same staff is here, which is fine, but the people here now are incredibly rude. I ordered an iced matcha with oat milk and vanilla to go. I received a hot matcha in a mug. This cafe/bakery is super cute and their outdoor seating is ample! I had an iced dirty chai and almond cookie. I think this place lives to its hype. Delicious food and beverages. I tried almond cookie, amazing. Cruffin is also very delicious. The caprese sandwich, a bit overpriced in my opinion but the bread is amazing, crunchy and ingredients were simple. A bit too much olive oil maybe. We got latte which gives you coffee art (mine had a leaf on it). I enjoyed my time here. There are birds flying inside which I don't think is very cool.. I had seen people come to study but it is very loud for me.. and lastly, the tables were kind of dirty, it is self service. I think it can be a bit cleaner. Overall great experience still. read more

I forgot to take any pictures because I very quickly demolished everything I got. The location is so pretty. It's a great place to get work done, both inside or outside. If the weather permits, I highly recommend sitting at one of their outdoor tables. The views are great and the ambiance is just lovely. I got a Chai latte, chocolate croissant, and a small pumpkin bread. I'm usually picky about Chai and it can be very hit or miss for me, but I was pleasantly surprised. The baked goods were so yummy. The chocolate croissant was crispy and buttery with just the right amount of sweetness from the chocolate. The pumpkin bread was the cutest little loaf. Even though it was small, it packed big pumpkin spice flavor and was very moist. The workers were very friendly and helpful (even though we were tortured with Dominic the Donkey being played on repeat inside the cafe - still not sure if that was a real experience). Most tables are filled with laptops and coffee mugs, with a few larger group tables for study groups and business meetings. All the food is simple and delicious, with fresh ingredients and inspired combinations. I do wish they'd expand on soup and hot offerings, especially during these colder months. I walk by this place often and have heard such rave reviews of it so when my family was in town we decided to try it! The pastry/desserts we got were super awesome, and the sandwiches my dad and partner got were pretty good. Where they lost a star was unfortunately with my salmon croissant sandwich. The cream cheese was sort of haphazardly spread, It only had about 5 capers on it, and the salmon was super sparse and only on one half of it. It felt like they just like slapped it together with their eyes closed, and for being $9+ you really don't want that. The location is super beautiful, with a view of the water from their huge outdoor patio. It's dog friendly which we love, has some really fun seats, and is overall a cool spot. I read a lot of great reviews about this place so I decided to try it on a weekday during my lunch break but I was pretty disappointed. The person who took my order didn't seem like he wanted to be there. The coffee was good but I ordered the red sandwich and it was honestly bland to me. The inside of the cafe has a nice open space but because they keep their front doors open, birds are always in and out of the cafe and there was bird poop all over the seats and tables by the window. read more

Pitango has all the qualities to be an outstanding cafe: perfect location off the water, cute decor, decent food and drinks, but the execution isn't quite there. The sandwiches sit in an unimpressive display. Asked for it warmed and you'll get toasted bread and cold meat and vegetables inside. The drinks are nothing special either... And for a sandwich and drink to come out to 20+ dollars, it better be top tier, which it isn't. Easily one of the cutest/most scenic spots in Baltimore. On a nice day, this is the perfect place to sit outdoors, overlooking the water, having some tasty drinks and sandwiches. Most of the sandwhiches are made with their delicious focaccia bread. I highly recommend getting the Milano or the chicken with roast veggies, which are our two favorites. The sandwiches seem expensive at $14 each, but the reality is they are very big and filling and I often have leftovers to take home afterwards. They have a wide selection of hot and cold coffee drinks. The pastries are also delicious, especially the peach tart. The complementary Wi-Fi is what keeps people there working for long, although it can be spotty at times so plan ahead to have a hotspot if you are coming to work here for a period of time. read more

We went here on a weekday morning and found it was easy to find street parking. There were a few people sitting inside but most people were outside at tables that were all at least 6 feet a part. The indoor space itself is super spacious and it's very easy to spread out when waiting in line. I felt very safe the entire time. I got a caprese sandwich that was super fresh and came on the fluffiest, most delicious focaccia bread. I also got the coffee cake which has this gooey apple cinnamon filling. I didn't get around to eating the coffee cake a day or two later and it was still good. I heated it up a little which made it even more yummy. Not sure how i've managed to not review Pitango in all this time. I really enjoy this place! Depending on the time of day parking isn't hard, there is usually a spot somewhere on the street nearby and its close to a nail salon I enjoy so its pretty convenient. In nice weather one of my favorite things to do is to grab a coffee a snack and sit out and people watch. The pirate ship picks up nearby so its usually a pretty great space to sit and watch. Everything ive had from the coffee to the sandwiches have not disappointed in flavor and quality. The staff are also very nice and super welcoming a few times ive come in right before closing and they still take very good care and I never feel rushed. If your looking for a good place for lunch or a nice atmosphere to set up for a couple hours of work or study this is absolutely the place. read more

Came here on Sunday, on a cold rainy day. Wanted a cup of hot chocolate to warm up. Came with my friends, I used the restroom first before ordering so my friends got their orders first. They ordered: hot chocolate was unsweetened and they couldn't add anything else (guy suggested simple syrup at the condiment station), banana bread was not good, chai latte & almond crossiant was delish. I decored half of the almond croissant since my friend couldn't finish it. I got the fancy looking pastry at the display- croffin which seems to be a cross between a muffin and a croissant with vanilla creme inside. Very delish.
