My friend and I went to a farmers market in downtown Sac and came across this agua fresca stand. They had a variety of flavors to choose from and even offered samples which I liked! My friend got a mix of Passion Fruit and Hibiscus and I got a mix of Mango and Guava. After tasting hers and mine, I think I definitely liked her mix better. My drink started to taste watered down real fast to the point where I was starting to no longer taste the Mango and Guava flavors. However, service was quick and had easy payment. You can pay via Venmo, Zelle, etc. and if you pay with card, there's a $3 charge. They also have 2 different sizes, Medium and Large, but both seemed to be too big for me. I ended up going with the Medium since it was the smallest size but it was still too big for me. I think if they offered a smaller size, it would be nice. read more

Came across this booth at the Tet Festival hosted at Elk Grove Regional Parks. It had a lot of aqua Fresca flavors to choose from. You can also sample them too. Their medium is $14 and their large is $15 (the one in the picture). It is kind of expensive, but you do get a good amount of liquid. Workers were super nice so don't afraid to ask for free samples. I was at the Sazon Latin Food Festival again, and felt like getting a drink, so I stopped by Pitayas Locas. I sampled several flavors before making a choice; kiwi was one of the stronger flavors. I felt fresa (strawberry; I tried the one with strawberry only, not the strawberry lemonade) and guayaba (guava, comes with lemonade) were underwhelming but maracuya (passionfruit) was pretty good too. I ultimately opted to get a medium of kiwi. I definitely recommend trying a lot of flavors since some are really weak, others are better. I really wish they would put the prices up, but I bet it would scare off customers if they knew. I got charged $14 for the medium drink, which is already $4 higher than what I paid a year ago from Pitayas Locas. I would think the price should only be closer to half of that... Maybe that's how they make the money back up for the fact that they are generous with samples and there didn't seem to be a sample limit. read more

I am giving this place 1 star because I am unable to give less. I don't usually give poor reviews however, I believe this is important for people to know. After visiting here this past weekend my card was swiped and we were told that the payment did not go through. As a result we paid cash to then realise the next day that our credit card was charged more $600+ dollars. Ofc it was flagged but this is a major inconvenience to our family and super dishonest. To reiterate the other 1-star reviews, $15 for a medium agua fresca is ridiculous. Aside from tasting quite ordinary, there was no transparent pricing or signs to indicate prices. It seems like they vend at various locations but this was in San Francisco. Nearby stalls were selling **clearly priced** garlic fries for $10 and bead bracelets for $5 to give you an idea of the ranges/value. While I definitely should've asked for the cost beforehand, there is absolutely no way these drinks are worth it. Definitely avoid this stall, or any stalls that don't clearly display their prices. read more

I support local businesses but this businesses took advantage when they were selling downtown this past weekend 9/13/25. No prices were reflected and I paid $15 for 1 drink! That is ridiculous and rip off! To make things worse the drinks were water down and had no NO FLAVOR! The drink I got was more water then anything. They were vending at Oaktoberfest and saw a table of different Agua Frescas. As other reviewers mentioned, they don't advertise their prices anywhere. I ordered a medium-sized coconut horchata and the prize was $14. Luckily, I had cash on me as they charge a $3 fee when paying with card. I saw their stall at the Union Street Festival over the weekend and immediately wanted to support another Mexican small business since their aguas frescas looked delicious. Well I was in for a shock when I ordered a MEDIUM cucumber lime, not a large but a MEDIUM, handed over a $20 bill and only got $5 back in change. I asked the lady who helped me if this was $15 and she said yes. Normally I wouldn't complain about the price or leave reviews knowing how much it costs to have a 10x20 set up at those kinds of events in SF, but they didn't have the prices listed ANYWHERE. $15 for an aguas frescas without any alcohol is diabolical. There aguas frescas are very tasteful.You can taste they use actual fruit and they always have 15 plus flavors.Some of my favorites is the Fresa leche,cucumber lime horchata and watermelon But all the flavors are very good.I think that they got very good prices for the drinks. Wanted to give this place a try since there would be lines and it looks like it's popular, so I decided to try the fresas con crema. After receiving it we later found hair in it and was completely grossed out and threw it away. Some time passed and decided to give a drink a try and the kid that they had working in the booth never changed her gloves after cleaning dirty containers on the side. After asking for ice she just reached into the ice bags with the DIRTY gloves she never took off and put it straight into my cup. This is serious cross contamination and not clean at all. If you have any serious allergies beware because you may not know if the gloves they use were changed when making your order! If I could give this place a 0/5 I would. Do not recommend. Prices are definitely taxed and they charge a $3 card fee? That's the most anywhere has even come to charging me for using my card even in all the markets that they pop up in. read more

Was at worlds worst today, a young girl in a tie dye shirt was cleaning containers in the back and came and helped us. We asked for a coconut water and she Didn't change her gloves and handed us a dirty straw that was in a different cup, we asked for ice in our drink and she grabbed ice using the dirty gloves that she used to clean the containers. This is gross and terrible cross contamination. They were a vendor at the Fork'n Good food festival. Even though the drinks were delicious we were charged $38 for 1 drink and 1 street corn. I believe they said the large drink was $10-$12 so there is NO WAY the street corn was $26. Be aware if you are using a credit card with them.
