Cool food truck spot in Mission Bay! I actually thought it was going to be an indoor food hall, but it's an outdoor gathering space with a great selection of food trucks, plenty of seating, and a fun atmosphere. There are lots of different cuisines to choose from, so it's easy for everyone in your group to find something they'll enjoy. It's a great place to hang out, grab a bite, and enjoy the San Francisco weather. I'd definitely come back to try more of the food trucks.

Spark Social is such a fun venue for any occasion - dinner with friends, birthdays, work events you name it. I did notice more of a presence of corporate socials on this most recent visit but it did not take away from the light and lively atmosphere. Many food trucks to choose from and lots of veg options - my fave is Koja Kitchen. The main bar has watermelon sangria which is delish and refreshing and you can get it for $6 during happy hour!

Ok, this place is freaking amazing!!! So much good food trucks to choose from. After walking and deciding what i was hungry for. I chose, firetrail pizza. And let me tell you. This pizza was amazing. In my book, it was better than Tony's. Please don't hate. It was deliciously thin and crispy. And it was nice and hot. I look forward to trying another food truck.

I booked a firepit for my birthday and I loved the experience. There are lots of foodtrucks to get food and drinks from. There is music and the firepit space feels intimate and private enough for your group of friends. My firepit also included smores!

Attended the Brats & Bangers event. It was really nice. Really cool people. Chill vibes. Craft beers on tap. Really good Brats. And Super Dope DJ. The vibe was lovely. Even dogs were dancing!

I live near Spark Social, and I feel like I come to this area at least one time every 2 months. Also, whenever I have guests coming to visit I make sure to show them what Spark Social has to offer! It's a great spot for bringing people of varying food interests. I try to order from different food trucks each time, which also is a testament to how much variety Spark has. It's also good for all ages, there's a wide area of picnic tables (first come first serve) but they also provide reservations in specific spots for parties that want to secure a location. I recently went to a baby shower and helped a friend decorate and she reserved one of Spark Social's spots. I highly recommend Spark Social SF!

I love Koja Kitchen, they use to have one at Westfield mall in the downtown area. They have closed down a lot of restaurants so I was happy to see the truck. You order on a kiosk and pay with a credit card. I loved it. I got the short rib Koja. They are a little pricey but worth the money. They have a lot of different options but I chose the classic one. Love this food truck.

Fun food truck park FTW! I love Spark Social! We come with groups of friends or family - there's plenty of seating - plenty of food trucks and great music played throughout the park! They even have high chairs on the side for little kiddos! Clean restrooms! The folks that work there are quick to clean up and the trash bins are never overflowing. Such a great spot to have a large group get together and everyone can enjoy food they wanna eat because the truck variety is great!

I had a really great time. A nice variety of holes with different levels of difficulty. The location is really nice and convenient with drinks and food trucks . All in one spot. I had the garlic fries from one of the trucks and the donuts from another. Both delish. The service from the golf team was pretty laid back. A few balls got stuck or lost as we were moving through the course and they didn't give us a hard time at all. Overall laid back and fun

Fun spot to grab some food and hang out before a concert at the Chase Center. I tried pupusas from one of the food trucks -- they were delicious! The slaw and sauce on top really brought it all together, and it came with rice and beans on the side. I couldn't resist pairing it with an Inca Kola, which hit the spot. The food truck employees were really nice, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. There's plenty of seating and a good variety of dessert options too. I ended the night with an Oreo ice cream from another truck -- so good!

I'll just be commenting on the happy hour for this review. I think it's so refreshing to have affordable options near Chase Center given a lot of the places at Chase cost a pretty penny. Mostly you'll find a lot of upscale joints minus Senor Sisig and Baked Bear. This is especially if you're planning to see a Giants game. Walking distance from the stadium is Spark Social which is a variety of food trucks boasting different cuisine-- Asian, Mexican, burgers, pizza, etc. But what my friend and I loved was the happy hour M-F 4-7p. It only included 2 wine options and a sangria but that was all we wanted for $6 each! Such a good price! Will be back before my other Giants Game in May!!!

The famous Spark Double Decker Bus

Spark Social in SF, is an open venue hotspot located near the Chase Arena, that focuses on a variety of popular food trucks and open seating. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to grab some food and spend time with some friends. Something to keep in mind is the parking. It's bad and can get very expensive. There is street parking but the meters are not free until after 10pm on weekdays. Now, to discuss my experience. My group tried to rent the famous double decker bus but unfortunately, it was closed due to maintenance. However, we did manage to snag a covered tent right in the middle of all the action. We ordered: the Birria Nachos and Ramen from Domingos International Food Truck. It was so incredibly flavorful, extremely tender, and so ridiculously good. We also went to the: BAO n' Boba, where we enjoyed their delicious pork belly buns, the Shanghai, pork dumplings, and of course, the pork Siu Mai. This truck felt as authentic as you can get without sitting in a restaurant. We had a few more trucks but we were getting pretty full, quickly. After a day of beer drinking and tons of laughs. We made the experience even cooler at the fire pit. So, as the day turns to evening. We request a s'mores kit from the staff. It put a delightful cap on the already fun day. It's incredibly nostalgic when you can hang with friends and roast marshmallows. It even better while sharing laughs and stories with each other. Overall, Spark Social is already fun on its own, with plenty of space and seating for you and friends. I Would love to come back and try some other vendors. especially during the summer months.

I love a good food truck! And love coming here because there are so many options. We went to the ugly sweater dog event this past weekend and it was fun! Loved that there were booths set up with dog stuff. Hopefully there are more events in the future. I didn't see anyone actually running anything or the pup race or ugly sweater contest but thats ok.

    Is there parking close by?

We are surrounded by street metered parking and UCSF parking lots. We are not affiliated with UCSF or the lot. We recommend using public transportation or ride-sharing to visit. The Caltrain, N, 45, 22, and 30 Muni lines all stop at around King &…

Can i get an updated answer re: gluten free food? my date has celiac :(

It's a food truck park so you will need to check with the individual food trucks: https://sparksocialsf.com/order-ahead/…

Will it be open on Christmas day?

Its closed on Christmas Day. You can check their insta @sparksocialsf for all updates , truck info etc

Does Spark Social have any current Vegan options? 9.15.23

Almost all the vendors have a vegan/vegetarian option!

If there are no reserved spots available, is it still possible to have a group gathering of about 20-30 people in the back area on a Friday evening?

It's possible because there's still plenty of open seat areas (not reservable) but you might obviously not be all together. With that size, you can eventually take over an area as people come and go.

Do they have high chairs for small kids?

Hi Megan, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we do have high chairs on site. When you arrive, if you don't see them, just ask one of our site managers in an orange vest or you can…

How do they handle rain? If you have a fire pit reserved, can you still enjoy it in the rain?

    There is covered seating area.

Which fire pits are the best to reserve?

When I visited back in October 2020 there was only about 1 or 2 by the front entrance, those seemed like a good spot.

Do they have WiFi? I would like to hang out there to eat and also get some work done at the same time.

Last I checked, yes they do have free wifi.

    Is Spark, dog friendly?

Absolutely - a great place to bring four-legged family! They'll have plenty of friends to play with, as well.

    Is this open daily?

    Yes

Are there any TVs for sports, similar to SoMA Street Park?

What's the parking situation like around here?

There's metered parking only. However, construction during the weekdays may make it challenging. I would avoid driving to Spark Social during game nights.

How many trucks tend to be open after 6/7 pm (ie for dinner)?

There's usually 8-10 trucks and they're there until 9 pm closing. Check Spark's website for the schedule.

    There is gluten free food?

Depends on the truck and the day. I remember two trucks offering an item that was gluten free.

How is the parking? Is there street parking if so is it metered? How much per hour for meeter? Or do you park in a garage? How much is garage?

Mostly metered street parking! It gets busy though (especially if there's a special event) so I would recommend taking public transport or ride share if possible.

Is this a good date spot?

I imagine it could be - lots of food trucks make it rich with options for food. There is also a cozy fire area with seats around it. Two gotchas though: it can be expensive and it tends to get crowded, especially during events, which it holds…

Is spark social open to the public even when there's an event?

Not usually. Definitely posted on the website that day if private event

Do they still have free movie saturday's here?

They need some kind of dipping sauce or something for it. Seasoning was not evenly spread out so some parts were saltier on the skin. Lots of herbs like thyme and rosemary. Just too bad the meat didn't stay juicy. 3.5/5 ROTISSERIE PORCHETTA SANDWICH ~ skin was crispy and burnt, so it was bitter yet crunchy. Pork was tender, but I didn't taste much of the jam. I did not like the bitter burnt skin. I personally thought it threw the flavor off. If it wasn't bitter, it would have scored higher. I always enjoy bread toasted when having a sandwich. Sadly, they don't toast it. My friend loves this sandwich and told me the skin wasn't supposed to be crunchy and burnt! So I'm assuming this wasn't typical. 3/5 The 4 of us shared the whole chicken and split the porchetta sandwich. But hearing that the sandwich wasn't made correctly this time around, I'm compelled to give it another try in the future.

There were plenty of craft vendors and food vendors, organized space-wise by category: craft vendors were closer to the entrance, food vendors were farther in. My favorites from the craft side were the amount of curated clothes sellers!! Soooo many cute jackets, dresses, tops, skirts, shoes, and bags. There were also a couple music stages playing music -- I liked that they had enough space between them so the sound didn't overlap when you were trying to listen to the artist(s) at either stage. The stage in the back was more of a DJ set, playing house music, and the stage in front had live music -- they had a full band and even a group playing an Irish jig earlier in the day, which was very fun. There were plenty of alcohol stations all around -- in the back, in the front, lining the whole perimeter of the event. There was also a good variety of crafts and a solid selection of food vendors. My only wish is that there had been more sweet options because there were tons of savory options. But overall, everything was very diverse, looked great, and was interesting and unique -- you had Nepali food, Indonesian food, Indian food, Mexican food, etc. -- very ethnically diverse. Overall, I think this is a great event and opportunity to spend time with loved ones (fun for adults and families alike!), grab a bite, and support local businesses! The friend I came with said the market has grown so much since before the pandemic, so it's lovely to see the community show up and show out for this. I hope OTG and WCC continue to host this market! Capelo's Barbecue: My friend and I ordered from Capelo's Barbecue's food truck. We got the 3-meat plate with beef brisket, pork ribs, and BBQ smoked chicken. First -- that line was hella long. We waited about 30 minutes (not including the wait after for the food), but it was fun since I had my friend to talk to. The layout of the menu and pricing were quite clear, so it was easy to decide what we wanted while we waited in line. Also, no dedicated seating area for the truck (night market!). The meats: beef brisket and pork ribs were an extra $2 each on the meat plate. The beef brisket was my favorite -- super smoky and so tender, almost melt-in-your-mouth, but not mushy. Just the perfect texture. Honestly, I wish it had a little more salt to add another layer of flavor besides just meat and smoke, but I still enjoyed the heck out of that brisket. The pork ribs were solid -- not the most amazing ribs I've ever had, but good flavor and texture. They weren't fall-off-the-bone tender, but they had a satisfying chew. I had to put some effort into tearin' the flesh from the bone with my teeth (as you do with ribs), and I liked that. The BBQ smoked chicken? Honestly, nothing special. It was a good, neutral option compared to the brisket and ribs, but the main flavor I picked up was black pepper. Solid chicken breast, but nothing memorable. Even the skin was meh. For the sides, we chose the baked beans and mac and cheese. The baked beans were wonderfully sweet and savory -- they paired perfectly with the BBQ. The mac and cheese was good and worked well with everything, but it wasn't particularly special on its own. Altogether, I think we paid around $32 for the plate. If I hadn't been splitting it with another person, honestly, I don't know if it would've been worth it -- but it was good in the moment. Quite tasty overall.

TWICE AT GOLDEN GATE PARK…read more In the past 11 months I've been to two exhibitions at De Young Museum. After the exhibitions instead of eating at the cafe in the museum I would look at food trucks at Golden Gate Park. After those two exhibitions I've ordered food from this food truck. The first time I came to Cochinita was in September after the exhibition featuring photos taken by Paul McCartney during the rise of The Beatles. The item that stood out from the truck was the elote tots. They were Mexican-style corn kernels top over tater tots. I am a sucker for tater tots. With sour cream and sauce I was worried if the tater tots would be soggy. The tater tots were still crispy. The complimenting textures of corn and tater tots made this a satisfying dish. The second time I came to the food truck at Golden Gate Park was the last day of exhibition "Monet and Venice." I was hoping to see if the elote tater tots were available; they weren't. I scanned up and down the items available listed on the food truck. One item that intrigued me was the tradicional - a plate with two types of fried tortilla. The panucho is regular fried while the salbut is fried with a puffy appearance. I love fried food, but these two tortillas weren't oily. These two kinds of tortilla fried dishes provided different textures to the toppings. I never ate Yucatan food before ordering food at Cochinita. If you are tasting a new cuisine you never had before ordering from a restaurant versus a food truck is different. Whereas in a restaurant while sitting you ask for recommendation whereas at a food truck while you're standing you go with your gut feeling. From my two experiences at the Cochinita food truck I ordered items I never had before and I enjoyed both of them. If I go to the Chochinita food truck at Golden Gate Park again and see elote tots, panucho, and salbut what will I order next time? I'm going to order an item I never had before.

Although we didn't get any end of day, they were sold out. Also, expect a queue! Cappuccino was strong, Mocha was delicious and not over sweet. I'll definitely come back whenever I revisit Presidio.

Between the location and the aesthetic, I was excited to see what the hype was about. My friend and I ordered the turmeric golden latte and the butterfly pea latte from the "botanical + herbal" section. Both drinks looked beautiful, but they tasted surprisingly thin and pretty flavorless. There wasn't much depth or richness, and we were confused because we expected a latte-style drink to include espresso. After asking the barista, we learned that the botanical + herbal drinks don't come with coffee or espresso at all. That wasn't clearly indicated, and the word "latte" definitely led us to assume otherwise. To their credit, the barista was kind and offered to add an espresso shot to my drink once I mentioned the confusion. After the addition, it tasted significantly better and finally had some body. I just don't understand why that wouldn't be the default or at least clearly labeled on the menu. The concept and setting are appealing, but the experience itself felt underwhelming.

The foodtruck was pared outside our Salesforce office today. Super quick. Price was bit steep like $18 something for a salad. I loved it tho and will have again. I want to try their burritos and fries as well. But I want to share that my colleague order sisig rice bowl and they skimped on the portion so bad it looked like my 1yr old meal plate. Very less rice and meat with bit of salad on the side. For a total of 18$ smth is just a joke. took off 1 star just because of this.

So my burrito was pretty decent but I'm sure the actual vegan menu items are much better. The burrito was also not that big, I suspect the food truck serving sizes might be smaller than at the restaurant. Staff at the truck were really nice, and cut my burrito in half when I asked. Would definitely like to come to an actual restaurant to try the vegan menu!
