I always get the teriyaki shrimp it's amazing and they salmon and teriyaki shrimp with butter sauce and teriyaki sauce

Stop by this place because I wanted a fish sandwich and it was the nearest place. The entry to the place is a little dark could use my lighting, but the setup is like a buffet, the server is very nice and pricing is very reasonable and it's pretty organized as far ordering your meal than paying. The fish sandwich was okay. I might go again just check out something else to eat. read more

I was looking for a spot that served rice (not Caribbean/Chinese) and came across Pitkin Seafood. The line was long so I knew it was a sign the food was good. This spot is now my go-to. In addition to seafood combos, they offer chicken combos and you can substitute rice with fries or any other side you like. Oh and call ahead to get your order. I was not a fan of the food here. My boyfriend and I were working in the area and needed to grab lunch. We saw that this place had four stars so we thought we'd be good. We got the shrimp with flounder with bbq sauce with rice and veggies and the crabmeat balls on the side. The veggies weren't fresh and it was just fried fish and shrimp doused in some bbq sauce (not cooked in it). The sauce overpowered the food. And the crabmeat balls were just a bad idea. I'm confused...I see this restaurant have a 4 star rating and I'm trying to understand, why?!?! This was my first and last time eating at this restaurant. All I ordered Fish and Chips. You may ask "how'd an order as simple as that turn out to be disastrous?" It turned out to be a disaster because it reminded me of Gordon's Fisherman fish out of the bag, which is ok, realistically, it's a fast paced environment so I get that they may use faster methods of making food to get rid of the crowd. But when you use frozen fish...you shouldn't re-fry the fish! When you re-fry, it's no longer flaky and in this case, it's no longer white on the inside of the fish...it's almost brown. Secondly, I asked them for a condiment cup so That i could put hot sauce in the cup and he told me they didn't have anymore, it was only 12:30 PM and they ran out, meanwhile he just gave me a cup with tartar sauce. I don't like the hot sauce in the pack and he gave me at least ten of them thinking that would help the situation, ok, I didn't say anything about that, I just "attempted" to pay for my food so I could catch a cab home to eat my food. When they swiped my card, their machine wasn't working...at least on their end it wasn't, but on my end it was! It was definitely taken out of my account. I still didn't say nothing, I just showed them my bank account proving that I was charged. Finally, I catch my cab, get home to try this food that I went through such a big hassle for, and it was terrible. When they showed me the food after it was prepared, it appeared to be fresh as it was piping hot when they opened the tray. IT WAS DRY, NOT FLAKY, NOT WHITE, Basically it was re-fried. I attempted to eat the fish and I couldn't take the dryness of the fish. my mom was choking on her fish. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that you can not microwave, re-fry, reheat or use any other shortcuts for preparing whiting, as the fish is too thin!! I called the restaurant back and spoke with Joseph and told him my issue and was told to come back with the food, I guess to prove that the fish was dry, flaky and not white. I explained to him that I don't live near by and I just took a cab there and back (because some one referred me, thanks a lot Kim!!) just for the food. So I was told to hold the food until the next time I come up there and show it to them. I told Joseph that I will stop by tomorrow with the proof that the fish was old. At that point, I figured that I'd prove it to my yelp family as well. What I'm upset about is the customer service. They weren't the friendliest in the first place and the food was terrible. All of these businesses are placed in poverty stricken neighborhoods and they serve whatever they feel like serving because no one ever says anything publicly, we normally go up to the business and place our complaints that's normally swept under a rug by adding an additional crab stick our meals!! I'm a regular here even though I live 20 minutes away. I always get the salmon combo. The fish is tasty and well cooked. The shrimp is also really good. I love the rice! I'm not a rice person but theirs is so flavorful. I recommend calling in advance if you're picking up because the wait time is pretty long and it's gets super crowded in their tiny store. They also just started taking credit cards (about time) I believe you have to spend atleast $10 to use your card. I'll definitely keep coming the food is too good to stay away read more

I really keep trying to give this place a try but lately I've been consistently disappointed. This is a neighborhood staple and I've been coming here for the better of about 5+ years. I'm not sure if it's because the establishment has became popular and the foot traffic has doubled as to why the food has been a disappointment to me lately or what but they need to get it together. The menu options are good as they offer an array of seafood combos, fried food and wings . I usually get the same thing so my review is based on that. Yesterday I ordered my usual, the chicken and shrimp teriyaki combo with rice and veggies. I SPECIFICALLY asked for the shrimp not to be over cooked.....what did I get in return? You guessed it OVER COOKED, rough and tough shrimp. Ive also noticed that the teriyaki sauce seems a bit saltier than usual so I couldn't fully enjoy my food. read more

Except the salmon it was dry and over cooked. One customer came into the store livid. He saw a cook go outside with his gloves on, open a gate, pick up garbage from the ground, and go back inside to cook. The young man at the register is rude and always rushed, they answer the phone before taking in person orders, and there are too many incidents of unsanitary practices being seen by customers. When they first opened up, I thought they finally will have a healthier alternative to the other local fare, but over time it's become another business serving scraps because they believe we'll pay for it. Food is good but stopped eating here because the restaurant has a B grade. And anyone that knows or works at a restaurant knows a B is horrible to have as a health grade. It was all good until it wasn't. I went here yesterday to buy my usual grilled shrimp and veggies with rice. And add always I paid with cash. The young boy at the counter with dark hair and black glasses, took my $50, and my total was $8.70. He takes my money and gives me $41.30 back, however, he gives me one fake $20. It felt fake, it looked fake and I put it up to the light and there wasn't a watermark! I tell the boy, "this is fake I don't want it" And this is where it got crazy. He started laughing!! Yes laughing!! So I said , I don't know why the hell is so funny to you but give me a real $20. Then another worker comes over ,he takes the $20 and h starts laughing too and says, "it's real". That's when I got heated. So I said "I don't know what kinda sh!t you 2 are pulling in here but nothing is funny and give me my money!" I love this place. They have breakfast until 11- breakfast sandwiches, bagels muffins and they have turkey bacon for the non-pork eating folks! Everything is fresh so like I said in "tips,"expect to wait a little. It's definitely worth it. I haven't ventured over here past breakfast but my boyfriend comes often and has never had any complaints about their food. They have a variety of juices and I love their coffee. I'd come here before Starbucks any day: regular coffee comes with cream and sugar and it's exactly how I would make it. If you don't like it that way then when they ask if you want regular, make sure you say no and let them know how you want it. Also the service is great and employees are very friendly. Some of the best crab legs I've ever had seasoned very well and you get a cluster for 12$, the honey hot wings, shrimp, crab legs and scallop deal is amazing as well. When I first found this place two years ago, I was super-excited! I had just come to work in the area and fish places like this were hard to find. At first, the food was delicious and I loved the way the fish was broiled to perfection. But, lately, the place seems to have gone down in food quality. I don't know if the crowd causes them to rush and cut corners or they cut back on seasoning because lately the veggies have become quite bland and the fish, not as tasty as it used to be. The food is OK... But, at this point. Its Hit or miss... Sometimes you score a winning plate, sometimes you don't. Saw everyone before me pay with cash. So I asked an employee behind the counter is it cash only and he said you have a card? I said yes and he said we can take your card. A customer heard and said since when you take cards and he said either said since last night or last week with a smirk on his face. Then he pulled the machine from under the counter and took my card. So I don't know what's up with that and why it's such a secret and how they pick and choose who can use their debit/credit card.
