The folks at Bin 66, at no charge to me, work with one of my instructors to pull wines for me to do blind tastings. Not only do they (primarily Derek) provide this service, it speaks to the bandwidth of the wines they either have on their shelves, and if not, it speaks to the outstanding customer service Derek provides by ordering wines for me that he either does not carry or currently have on the shelves. I recently moved from Houston, Texas where there was a plethora of outstanding wine stores and thought I'd never find anything comparable. Imagine my happiness when I found Bin 66. In terms of cases and six packs, they were not that varied but they did have good bottles of Three Philosophers, Duvel, Chimay and a few others. The people were nice and I was called "sir" twice. Clean, efficient, friendly, that's A-OK in my book. There was a guy stocking the shelves that heard me say something about scotch and said dude not for nothing but this sampler of scotch here is a really good deal. I bought it not knowing much about scotch and my scotch loving friends were like you paid what for that?! $25 for 3 200 ml bottles of scotch that sells for $60 - $100 for a 750ml bottle. Makes the package worth at least $70 and I picked up another one for a gift on the way home. They had a really good selection of beer too with kegs etc. Store was really nice too. Thanks to the guy that recommended the scotch if you see this, and also the 375 ml bottle of patron silver for $20. Definitely a must stop if you are on route 13 right across the MD border.

If you look around, I'd say half of the cars have MD plates...can you blame them?

They now offer an even wider selection of spirits, wines, beer and related items. Case wine discounts are 20% off. They also have a membership club using your mobile phone number. I usually visit here to purchase some last minute items or to refill my growler. They always have eight local beers on tap. My most recent growler refill was for the Dewey Beer Co. "Orbits a Star" Imperial (double New England) hazy IPA at 9% ABV. My 64 ounce growler cost me $21 to refill with "Orbits a Star". See my recent pics of which draft beers were available during my most recent visits. If you want you can sample some of their draft beers. I will continue to visit here for last minute items or to refill my growler.

Disappointing customer service with spoiled bottle of wine(corked)…read moreCame in a day ago and went to the reserve room to pick out a nicer bottle for dinner... first time going into that room. When I opened it was clearly corked. Took it back the next day to either get a refund or store credit so I could go back in the reserve room and maybe get something else and a few other bottles since I was interested in digging into those wines. Was told that if I didn't have a receipt or loyalty program no go. I get it.. sorta.. my bad for not having the receipt as I paid by Apple Pay however it's pretty customary that if you get a bottle that's corked and bring it back/send it back at a restaurant its no big deal... it happens.. bottles sometimes are corked... here the real problem ..Barcode and price were on the bottle (2020 barolo)and they could have probably pretty easily looked it up in a few minutes... but they chose not to and this was the managers decision. I left the bottle there and left the store Needless to say I'm not coming back here again.

I really like the layout and inventory of this store. The store has a new modern feel to the store. They have a wide selection of beer, spirits, wine and related items. I initially enjoyed their 15% case wine discount off 12 bottles of wine, which I have purchased almost weekly over the past year or so. I also recently joined their frequent customer club, which also added an additional $10 discount. The $10 frequent customer discount is in addition to their 15% discount off case wine. I will continue to shop here to enjoy both discounts. This location is most conveniently located near my home. I also like Total Wine, since I can sometimes enjoy their 20% discount off 12-18 bottles of direct wines. In both cases I can mix and match my wine choices. Since I travel a lot I plan to visit some other Total Wine store locations. More to come regarding liquor stores, since I do enjoy my spirits, wine and beer.
